A lot of people stopped mining already because of the increased difficulty. But they're still buying and selling bitcoins. It's not going to be an issue.

It'll take a ton of money. Originally when BTC was at about $1 someone bought $50k worth and thtat's when it started jumping up. Now that the price is higher, I'm guessing it would take as much as 10 times as much to do it again.

MtGox.com is the safest, since you can't get hit by scammers. Plus you can store your bitcoins there, so it functions as both a wallet and a buy/sell site.

I've been reading the forum for a while. So wanted to start posting one day so I used a friend's account. But all he used his account for was trolling, so I don't think anyone would take me seriously, so I made a new account today.
