Re: SRBPolaris V3 - BIOS editor for RX4XX and RX5XX cards

You should call it V4 or V3.1 since the version "V3" I downloaded before didn't work and people already has it.

thanks anyway.. I will send some eth. once I'll mine :-)

well if i would go that way this version would be v1000, cause i make small changes all the time.
Maybe i can go like V3.01 , V3.02 etc

Use semantic versioning.

MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH

One could argue that adding a bios is a "bug fix" so you would go like this

3.0.1
3.0.2
3.0.3
3.0.4
3.0.1000

If you add a new backwards compatible feature increment the middle number
3.1.0

If you add a major, possibly backward compatibility breaking feature, increment the first number
4.0.0

Lookup semantic versioning for more info on how to use it. It's pretty simple and makes things very straight forward for the end user when deciding which version they want to use.

Or better yet take the donations in UTC, and use https://www.coinpayments.net/ to buy giftcards to fund the trip. Anything other than taking BTC directly that just seems like crypto-adultery to me lol.

Not using UTC as the medium for this donation basically sends the message "Invest in UTC, it's great for you... not for us though, we need to use something more practical to get stuff done"

Interesting idea - but of course the tricky bit would be Paul trying to sell several 100,000 UTC without crashing the price?

Happy to oblige if there is a good strategy for the UTC liquidation to BTC or USD.

Can we do the donations in UTC instead of BTC? Even if you sell the UTC for BTC for USD/Euro at least it will get some activity on the markets which could spur more activity.

People who want to pledge BTC could buy up some UTC and then donate that to a UTC address which would eventually be sold and converted to BTC for the show.

Just a suggestion.

I don't see how that would be a problem, several hundred-thousand would also be bought around the same time and it can be sold as it comes in and then sent to a BTC wallet. It doesn't have to be sold as one large chunk. It can also be distributed over several exchanges. I don' think it will be as much of an issue as you do.

Hmm, I wonder how much Ultracoin I could mine per month with two of these. Does anyone have any estimates? And of course I would be using these on the multipool.

Everything equal (which it never stays that way, ask again tomorrow, lol) about 1200/day.

Hey guys, I have a Bitcoin I was thinking of using to buy 2 Antminer S3's to mine Ultracoin on the multi-pool, or just buy Ultracoin directly. What do you think has the higher payoff?

Aren't those SHA-256? You can't mine UTC with them. Bitcoin is probably the only viable coin you could mine with one (or two considering their minimum) of those.

The UTC markets are eerily calm. Something big is about to happen (up or down?) Place your bets people.

Thanks for all the kind words guys! I am sitting down with my friend who is a web developer tomorrow and we are going to get to work on useultracoin.com, I will keep you all posted.

Btw, the domain was bought and paid for using Ultracoin.

+1 for using UTC

Thank you for your time and effort. Much appreciated.

Please visit my bitcointalk thread in order to view updates regarding the upcoming publication called Cryptocurrency "The Alt-ernative"

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=483187.0

Below is the teaser(preview) section of Ultracoin UTC.  Any feedback is welcome and donations towards the publication are highly appreciated.

Your history may be inaccurate. I believe the coin launched on another exchange prior to Poloniex, that exchange was hacked, but prior to the hack the price of UTC hit closer to $1.00 (maybe peaked at $0.92) can anyone refresh my fuzzy memory on this point?

If I see how the price goes of UTC I think we maybe would be better of if the management team take the coin to full pos instead of postpone it !!!

See the price, now we are also going nowhere, only down, so why not take the change/risk and go full pos Huh

Please stop promoting this idiotic and completely unreasonable idea that going full PoS somehow equates to a rise in price. There is NO correlation between PoW/PoS and price. None. Zero. Just stop it. Why do you keep saying this? STOP!

Today, my wallet does not synchronized Sad UTC Sent with http://ultracoinpool.info purse but they did not come Sad
Guys, what's happening?

1: have you updated wallet this past week?

2: Blockchain explorer WAS http://bitgo.pw:3731/chain/Ultracoin if it was working, you could check the transaction on the chain there, but I don't have any other links to check but that one, if you can check the transaction ID, you'll have your answer

More to what was said above...

1) What wallet version number (do not say latest, give the actual wallet version) are you running?

2) What is the transaction id according to the pool's transaction history?

It would really suck if you traded Bitcoin for Vericoin in a private exchange. I feel that this will have a lot of repercussions for Vericoin and its investors. Imagine the poor folks buying Vericoin right now, and what about the folk who bought in right after the security breach. They will never receive their money back that they used to purchase the coin and will lose Vericoin that they did purchase do to the rollback. This is the coin devs and mintpal deciding to pick winners and losers to cover themselves, I think they should have just learned from their mistakes and moved on. Don't keep money on exchanges, if you haven't learned from Mt. Gox you might not ever.

They reviewed the block chain and the transactions that happened after the theft. Less than $4,000 worth of VeriCoin was transacted after the theft, where as the theft was over $2 million dollars worth and gave over 30% POS control to an unknown and obviously dubious party. Pretty sure they made the right move.

MintPal essentially assassinated themselves. They had the market lead, everything going for them, and...... they just threw it away. They really SHOULD have known better.

Huh? Obviously other exchanges are just as scared of the same thing happening to them. This is hardly flat out neglect on MintPal's part. I doubt they will see much of a decline in trading volume as the bottom line is, end-users didn't lose their coins (because of the dev's roll back). So MintPal will probably escape this a little wiser and pretty much unscathed. The industry as a whole will benefit from what they will learn about this security breach.

Problem is on Cryptsy's end. I see all of those transactions in the blockchain and the one to Cryptsy has about 8000+ confirmations. So it was about 3 days old? My guess is the block explorer is using an out dated wallet and Cryptsy is delaying deposits for some reason.

This does not, in anyway appear to be a problem with the ultracoin wallet itself (all these hard-forks may be causing some confusion among the exchanges, pools and users, but that is another issue entirely). Your coins are "safe", but take it up with Cryptsy as to why the transactions are not showing up on their end.

UdFBHuDfb2x4WmERPaAVxEQm8DHFrzCT3w personal address (everything comes out of this) this address get credited everytime be it from cryptsy or from ultracoinpool.info

URKPnCYDx3DZxTigLso4ErVbSKpn1VUqUs cryptsy address - nothing gets credited neither from ultracoinpool.info nor my personal wallet.

UkGJcTe9f6VkJZkG4XD8YRT7WMv9AfuXcU mintpal address same as above

Uhku2wuaoPD54g3F36EG813DHMZrXFUoBi crypto trade same

mintpal and crypto trade were used for testing purposes and should only have 2 or 3 utc at most.

Ok, one more thing, go into your transaction log, right click on some of the transactions you are having trouble with, click Transaction Details and paste the transaction id.

Impossible it is! And that is why I stand freaked out!

Lemme break it down

went to ultracoinpool.info and configured it to send directly to cryptsys wallet. Coins will not show in blockchain nor will cryptsy credit them

Tried and used my personal wallet and coins get credit instantly.......buuuuuuuuuuut wont appear in the blockchain - thought that I and the pool could be forked..since people here reported that they had been using the system without issues.

Then..I had some coins in cryptsy and decided to try and send them to my personal wallet...the result was the crazy part. The tx showed in the blockchain and got credited to my personal wallet instantly. Then as soon as I sent that coin back to cryptsy...no blockchain presence and of course, did not get credited on cryptsys wallet.

Oh, and there is another thing that I have to empathize..I just remembered, if you will forgive my caps,

I HAVE THE LATEST VERSION AND THIS ISSUE STARTED JUST AFTER THE NFACTOR CHANGE TO 14. It seems there was some other upgrade regarding PoS that I am unware of..but well.

If I am forgetting to try something please let me know.

What address are you using for the transactions that are appearing in your wallet and not in the chain? Also what are the dates of those transactions. The wallet just reads the blockchain, so I am really confused as to how it could show up in your wallet without being part of the blockchain.

Also.. all this nonsense we are seeing lately is a prime example of why the decision to hard-fork should be heavily weighed and considered before implementation. It really should be a last resort, all of these mandatory wallet updates and hard-forks are just bad for business.

AND NOT CREDIT TO MY ACCOUNT WHERE ARE THE F...... DEV TEAM NOBODY GETS ATTENTION TO WHAT REALLY HAPPENING

I see your transaction in the blockchain, so you may want to contact Cryptsy and ask them what is going on before coming here and claiming there is a hard fork. They are notorious for delaying transactions for days in some cases, especially if it is out of the norm for your account. If you normally send 100-500 UTC to your deposit address then out of the blue send 7000, they are probably going to do at least one manual review of that.

BRET CAN YOU TELL ME HOW DO YOU SEE MY TRANSACTION BECAUSE WE DO NOT HAVE ULTRACOIN EXPLORER

Can you please calm down? This capslock and red color is really annoying...

coins coming directly from ultracoinpool.info seem to get lost when sent to cryptsy...ironically if you send them to your wallet they wont appear in the blockchain but will credit anyway. And what is more and more weird..is that I can send, say, 1 utc to my wallet from cryptsy and it will credit and show in the blockchain..but when I send it back it wont appear nor be credited. What sorcery is this? Ive been speaking with the devs and crypsy altogether...cryptsy insists that I update my wallet (wtf? latest version already) and the devs are looking into the issue.

Not sure what you mean, it is *impossible* for coins to show in your wallet and not be part of the blockchain. If what you mean is that our block chain explorer website is not showing the transaction that could indicate that Cryptsy and the blockchain explorer are forked. My guess is the blockchain explorer is not up to date.
