What the...... y'all trying to bring Murraycoin back?

It's crazy to think that I was mining & buying bitcoin as early as 2011 and yet now I'm completely broke.
I even had like 2000 ETH at one point, and had to sell all those for less than $1 each.
And guess who had to sell the rest of his Augur rep right before the price skyrocketed this week?...

My non-millionaire status is mostly my own fault, but I've also had something close to 10 BTC stolen from me in total, not to mention the implosion of Cryptsy.

Anywho... hopefully the rest of you are wealthy by now, and I'm not saying that with any bitterness... people who were wise enough to see the massive potential in crypto deserve their riches. I just missed the gravy train somehow.

I still haven't spoken with bholzer but I may soon be in a position to hire someone to update the MRY codebase & create a mobile app. Not making any promises, but we'll see how things go & I'll keep everybody up to speed. Cheers!

Murraycoin would be an incredible legacy for him, no doubt about that.

It's not so much that we NEED a dev... but we need bholzer because he is the guy who made initial contact with the Murray Bros Foundation. It would not make sense for us to put more time/effort into MRY without his involvement or blessing because he established the relationship(s) that will be key to MRY's success.

No, I'm MurrayOverboard (on twitter and a couple other places). It's weird because I started that account specifically to promote MRY, but now it's basically my most used personal account on social media. 

I haven't been keeping track of MRY's network status, but better for it to remain in limbo than completely dead I guess. 
I still haven't heard back from bholzer or had a chance to Skype with him, but I'll definitely keep everyone here up to speed if I learn anything new.

Yeah, it's too bad I couldn't make it to ComicCon this year. Sorta kicking myself for that, but still, we need the support of the devs (or at least some sort of promo/investment team with deep pockets) for any effort on my part to be more than just a flash in the pan. I haven't been in contact with Brock at all but hopefully I can still Skype with him soon, if not to find out his plans for MRY then at least to just touch base, find out how his startup is doing, etc.
Anyway, I'm working on some new projects in the cryptoverse, so I'll occasionally update you guys on my activities in the meantime. DM me if you'd like to discuss anything MRY or crypto.

Same here. All my XSEED is on Bittrex, although I did notice today that my previous XSEED buy/sell orders are gone, leading me to think perhaps the XSEED in my account is the new version. Am I correct?

Thanks to whoever is keeping MRY alive on Cryptsy and preventing it from bottoming out entirely. Hopefully someday the Murraycoin Project will be revived.

I actually have plans to bring Murraycoin into the limelight in the next few years (if bholzer hasn't done so by then), but for now my level of outreach (my IRL klout score, if you will) is too limited and I haven't made the right connections yet. Just promoting to strangers (especially while the devs are sitting on their hands) has been pretty fruitless. However, I'm trying to increase my circle of influence *in general* and I will keep telling people about MRY along the way.

Well, I'm not selling anything... but certainly not buying any more until we see some significant progress. I'm still willing to go the extra mile to promote though, so if Mr. Murray attends any upcoming events (west of the Mississippi River) I will make a road trip out of it.

Last time I contacted bholzer about the possibility of doing a takeover he came in and posted some updates. Although "community takeover" would make the most sense for other altcoins, the fact is that 99% of altcoins don't even have a future. MRY does have huge potential of course because it is different than other altcoins, but i think the best we can do at this point is to just keep waiting. Probably not what people want to hear, but that's my opinion. If I understand it correctly, bholzer will really get back in the MRY saddle once his business SnapAppointments is finished with some important tasks.

Don't get me wrong, I'd like to have a job or be in school at the moment, but then again I'd also like to be Steve Zissou, so what I'm saying is you can't always get what you want. ^_^ No but hopefully something will come along soon.

I'm currently unemployed & not taking any classes, but that just means more downtime for me to spread the word about MRY! ^_^

So I went to the Bill Murray art show in LA (put together by the same guy who did the Bill Murray art show in San Francisco), talked to some potential investors so hopefully they will get in contact with Brock via the website (I also showed them that they could buy on Cryptsy). Additionally, I talked to a guy online who's interested in professionally producing a Murraycoin video and getting paid in Murraycoin for it so think about some good ideas for a MRY video.

Btw, if Bill shows up to this event, I might crap my pants. Adult diapers are pretty cheap these days, right?
