That being said, I'm invested in the ICO - I don't think it's a flat-out scam at all.

While I think the title of this thread is a little sensationalist, I think all of you who doubt ETH as a big time, longstanding player with great growth potential STILL need to go back and read all those posts from 2015 you keep posting and disagreeing with...

OP said "Those who sell for $2 will shit bricks, eat sand and may even commit suicide in the years to come," and I imagine many of those naysayers have done all three since then. If the $2-$5 coins I was holding now were worth 100 times that in less than two years after I sold them, I know I would.

Buy a coin you believe in. If you don't believe in the value of ETH by not sure anything will convince you.

Alright, I've come back to report on my experience with Nexchange. I think it's important for both the business and the community here.

I began by placing a small transaction, ETH to XVG. Everything went smoothly, no problems at all.

Then I tried a slightly larger order, and it took a little longer but was still just fine.

Confidence bolstered, I attempted a large order and ran into problems - my order was listed as complete, but never hit my wallet. 12 hours later, I'm chatting with support and apparently there has been some issue, and my order is stuck.

Here we are now, almost a full day later and my coins are about to hit my wallet. It took longer than expected, but I think it's important to note a couple of things:

1. This is a brand new exchange, and they're offering FREE exchanges!
2. The customer service was great, Oleg and Chirag from their support group (and they're regular team, it appears) were pleasant throughout the process and made the worry of losing my money substantially less. In addition, they threw a credit into my order of a few hundred coins for the inconvenience.

All in all, I think this is a great service, they are simply working out some of the kinks that come with opening a new, fast-paced business. I would definitely recommend them - there's no one else offering what they do, with the support to back it up... couple that with the current free exchange and they're a-ok in my book.

Do you ever hear a song that is even better than the original? Be careful who you voice that opinion to - one may say there's no way anyone can sing a Bob Dylan song better than Bob Dylan.

I call bullshit. Just because you did it first doesn't mean you did it best. Luckily for BitCoin, it has many many years to improve to where it is the longstanding best. Time will tell.

As far as there only being one crypto in the future...I also call BS. The real innovation here is the evolution of data. I think it will encompass much more than the replacement of fiat. Blockchain technology is no gimmick, we are in the prenatal stages of true change that I personally believe will change the future - for the better.

That being said, we are in a market that is extremely volatile and potentially extremely profitable... even though any such market is zero-sum at the end of the day (what one gains another loses), I and many others think we can be on the winning side of that equation until the time comes to determine what's actually going to stick around to be a part of the revolution.

Just my thoughts.

It's funny how this market can polarize people - half of them yelling "shitcoin" and "just another coin, nothing special." while the other half swear that its "revolutionary" and "it's going to the moon!" with that FOMO rhetoric.

This is an extremely volatile and relatively unpredictable market, all you can do is make what you think is the smartest decision on any given coin. Rather than being all reddit-y like my exaggerated example there, I'll just give my opinion.

Read the whitepage. It's extremely professional, and their website in general is well designed. Check out their team - young, competent, with LinkedIn profiles attached.

The ideas they have for their project seem ambitious, in a good way. I especially like their long-term goal of implementation in video games. I'll add to the comment of "hype": if you watch the market and analyze what's in the news about crypto you know that hype is more than just frivolous talk - it can truly influence a coin's success.

I'm not selling my car for Electroneum but I definitely put something into it. I encourage you all to do your own research and decide whether it's something you think is worth that.

First post inbound.

I'm very interested in this service (especially with the free exchanges this month), but there seems to be some bad blood towards the company and I can't find anyone vouching for it.

I'm worried about putting any of my hard earned crypto anywhere I can't be sure it won't get Mt. Gox'd. Can someone verify that the exchange is legit or not?
