Please, someone post the txids and associated addresses here! If no, then this will completely be a troll!

BTW I doubt an unknown person would had 37k BTC (people/companies have lots of coins are well-known, like it is well known that satoshi have 1M BTC). If he really have that much, his name should be widely known by the bitcoin community.

No. Bitcointalk is just a discussion forum, and other than advertisements, no other commercial stuffs are associated to here. So making an exchange (which is obviously commercial) will ruin this forum.

Re: Why is the activity required for Legendary random?
by

on 01/12/2015, 11:55:12 UTC
I think the admins/mods made this because they don't want the account traders (i.e. people buying and selling accounts for profit) to have a predictable income period (as legendary accounts worth a lot more than hero).

P.S. Is there somewhere to check the exact activity point required for legendary, or not?

I wanted to post my adult services, is there a particular section to posts these stuff?
Make sure you have the suitable tags and the Service section is the only place it fit (not digital goods). Also do your service accept BTC ? If not then it shouldn't be here.

Debate: Do you think criminals do more good than harm to bitcoin?
by
brunoshady
on 29/10/2015, 10:23:25 UTC
Lately I have seen another news of some kidnappers demanding ransom in bitcoin. Then the family seems to be really bought $1.7M worth of BTC (about 5.5k BTC as my estimate). This would be one of the reason for the recent price increase ($1.7M is a lot of money!). However medias keep spreading false information on bitcoin, like stating 'bitcoin is using widely in criminals' etc.

So how do you think? Does the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?

Re: Another article spreading false information about bitcoin
by

In fact I found this article on a politically neutral newspaper (90% of the local newspaper have political background, and that newspaper is a rare one which is quite neutral).

Also I don't think I've translated anything wrong. The article said satoshi or someone else is the 'dealer' of the bitcoin market, that is, they got the most advantage from trading of bitcoins (but the answer is: definitely no!).

I've also seen someone said it is extracted from a blog which no one watchs. Yes, I personally won't watch those comments (on stocks), however the word 'bitcoin' in the title attracts me to watch, and just see it is another piece of false information...
I think you should make better choices in choosing your daily newspaper.

Or you can just email the newspaper in question and point out that this article was written by incompetent person without doing even a basic research.*

* that's assuming you've provided accurate translation.
Unfortunately I had the subscription of the newspaper until February 2016 Sad And I don't see an email to the editor either.

Maybe the general public have been scared by the great decline of the price since late 2013 (from $1000+ to ~$250 as of now). They only wanted to invest in something that is risk-free and have high return.
The truth always wins. It's enough to show the facts and people will eventually get what's right. Sites like that one will never win.
Off-topic post, it is an article from newspaper not from site!
In the USA the 'big media' today is small. Just don't read and don't buy their papers and let them starve or improve
I'm not in USA, though.
Thankfully it's becoming a rarer occurrence. As more information disseminates the people who write shite like that will look increasingly stupid.
Yes, this is the first article about bitcoin I've seen in few months, however it's just another piece of FUD Sad

Another article spreading false information about bitcoin
by
brunoshady
on 15/10/2015, 08:51:19 UTC
Today I've seen an article on the economic section of the newspaper which makes be very angry.
Here's the outline of the article translated to English (I've thrown away the newspaper of anger, however I remembered what it spread):
Quote
I (writer) have met a friend who played wth bitcoin (1), and he said that a bitcoin conference held in Philippines have invited a significant people (2) for free.
Then I (writer) think that he is willing to go for free because he have a lot of bitcoin, which are got from satoshi (3).
I (writer) also think that bitcoin will over just for switching off the power supply (4), and make them worthless.
(1) Bitcoin isn't a thing to 'play' with! He is trying to leave a bad impression to the public!
(2) I've forgot who he is, nor know who he is, he is described significant in the article.
(3) Whaaaat satoshi is selling/giving away his bitcoins?! The writer is calling satoshi as a bad guy!
(4) This is a false information - bitcoin will not gone just for switching off the power. Other nodes are running still fine.

What do you think?

I would just buy a high potential activity account and start posting Smiley

BTW, why this is in off-topic board...
Or would you reach a hero or legendary rank based on time and posts, which is somewhat unfair.
Well, this account is from 2011, however my potential rank don't even reached Senior!

I have seen a user giving away BTC from stress test, and the outputs are 1000 satoshi. 5000 satoshi output is close to the original non-spam limit (5460).
BTW spams here or on the blockchain is really bad. Guys please stop them!

Re: Is a fixed small block size long term sustainable?
by

I think it's not. Because at the beginning, people make small amounts of tx, and then nowadays people are making 1 tx per second, which used more than half of the system capability...

When I use my userID into the estimator I got this:

Potential Activity: 168
Post Quality: Poor

Why is my potential activity 168 while my actual activity is 182?

the correct thing is BCT, just break down bitcointalk into syllables and use the first letter from each syllable, BitCooinTalk
