The conversation has been a little quiet over here. I will be releasing a new wallet next month. 

Having a Yescrypt GPU miner is a new step in the development of the BSTY coin. Thanks for this great news. we hope to get feedback from miners very soon. But this doesn't mean the end of the cpu mining. we are expecting to have a GPU average hashrate similar to the hash rate of a CPU (we still need to prove this). we cannot prevent GPU farms the same way we cannot prevent cpu farms. but something that we really need is to increase the hashrate to secure the network against malicious attacks. Any comment or feedback about this new GPU miner or the BSTY coin is welcome.

we are working very hard to bring new developments to the BSTY community.

1. I am personally working on a new BSTY qt wallet to be compatible with the latest bitcoin code 0.10.0.
2. I am porting the yescrypt code to java to start testing the android wallet.
3. we are getting help to to bring the new GPU miner to the table. we hope to get this new code within few days.
4. we are in negotiations with several exchanges to include BSTY in their trading platform.

If you have new ideas that we could implement it would be good to know.

I just made a withdrawal from bittrex without problem. what is  the issue you are having?

we have been working very hard this last week to find a solution to the problem we had.  By the moment we have updated the wallet code to enable an automatic checkpoint feature that will prevent any future 51% attack.

In Addition, we are working to get a Yescrypt GPU miner asap. we think that adding a GPU miner will attract more miners and  will reduce the coin vulnerability. 

Apart from this, I am testing the latest bitcoin wallet 0.10.0  and I am developing a new BSTY wallet based on this code. this is for some merchants that are requesting some specific BIP.

If we want to succeed we need to work very hard every day to overcome obstacles.  I am really open to discuss new ideas to attract more miners, investors and merchants. we hope to be back on bittrex and C-Cex this week. but getting accepted on all others exchanges is also important.

I understand your position. but we need options over the table to protect the network. My initial setup was to create a coin similar to yacoin modifying on a schedule based the parameters n,t,r  and add a rom in RAM to make the coin much more GPU, FPGA and Asic Resistant. However, there is not much we can do if someone has a computer lab in a public university available just to attack the network.  in theory Mining with a GPU doesn't have any advantage than mining with a CPU. we need to prove that and take decision.

I just want to make sure everyone understand here that there is not such "Community Take over of the GlobalBoost-Y", this only happen when the developer doesn't want to continue with the project. I give the Welcome to anyone that want to contribute to this Project but respecting the rules that we have established. This coin as it could worth nothing at the moment it could be the Currency of the Future. Nobody really knows. So, keep an eye on this coin that the development won't stop.

hey, thank you for the donation.  Miners don't come here by the amount of coins rewarded in a block, but of the coin price. you can take the example of the unitus coin where every miner leave after a huge dump. on the opposite side you can see the Darkcoin, they initial block rewards was 500drk every 2.5min and they dropped the rewards after block 15k. it is believe that the developers holds millions of drk.  The idea behind the 347 block rewards was that miners would dump the coin and traders would be able to play on the exchanges since the beginning.  Bittrex  and C-CEX accepted BSTY since the initial launch and they have been very friendly with us. I'm Not sure what is your idea about increasing the block rewards, but for me playing as the Devil's Advocate is just to dump the BSTY for a tiny amount of BTC.

do you know how I got those coins ?.  I got 21500 BSTY directly from donors. and I bought 5000  on bittrex (I still have some of them at around 1 dollar price there) using my 0.0098 bitcoins that were recently released and I got when I was mining day and Night with my slow GPU on slush pool https://mining.bitcoin.cz , the rest around 860-900 bsty I got them mining.

I won't change the block rewards because this will cause inflation. I have a full time job as a Senior Network Engineer (CISCO CCIE) and I don't depend on crypto to survive (But I love crypto). I am not buying a lot of BSTY because I don't hold BTC, but everything will change when the new BSTY Market (https://capital.globalboo.st/) is ready. I am Electrical Engineer, I will be working on a GPU miner(we have a bounty of 100k BSTY for a GPU miner),an FPGA miner, and Finally an ASIC (yeah we will go ASIC!).  You like the words "SCAM", "shitcoin", "THIEFS", "Garbage coin" , someone name us "Carson Klock Scam" (IDK what is that but idc) among others.  This coin like Bitcoin is still an experiment and everything could fail, if you have read the Satoshi Paper, everything depends on Honest nodes supporting the Network and processing payments.
