0.0017 BTC, NO COLLATERAL, to be paid back by August 10th.

Hi this might be a completely far fetched to ask for, considering my lack of standing/reputation on here.

However, I need 0.0017 BTC to pay for cloud rendering costs for a freelance CGI project. I need to cover the expenses upfront myself, but don't have spare cash at the moment.

If anyone can help would be greatly appreciated.
Can pm for more detail, my work, anything that may build trust.
Thanks

Any other stories of people building themselves back up from zero?
Do not be pessimist. Definitely you can bounce back but with spot trading. Just focus on building a decent capital and try in spot trading. Do not rush yourself so that you may not go back into leveraged trading. Most traders want to recover their losses from same platform but in my opinion that must be a very wrong approach. World is big and the earning opportunities too many more hence we should not think about recovering from same thing.

Yes I think you’re right. Chasing the loss has and will get me in more trouble.
I’ll start again small when I can, and approach it slowly and build it back over time.

Thanks

I'm not currently trading, but here was my latest analysis before this current move if anyone is interested.

Move started to look weak, the chop seemed quite reminiscent of a top.
Would probably expect a decent bounce around 8300.

What do you mean by "algo pattern"?
So you are saying that you had successfully predicted the crypto market price movements for a while?
How did you manage to achieve this? What was your analysis?
I always trade cryptocurrencies with the assumption that I will lose 100% of my investment.I usually use small amounts of coins and no leverage,so I don't regret anyway.Good luck with your second attempt to make some big profits from crypto trading.

Even though I have lost overall through poor risk management, greed etc I have managed to predict a lot of big moves, e.g the collapse from 6k to 3k to the actual day.
But this particular pattern where I had my best run  is the one in the image - over about 3 weeks.   The pattern is different in magnitude but has all the same hallmarks as the one I based it on.  I compared the pattern, correlated it to CME gaps, and even  days of the week to work out where it would pump and dump. Each major move was around 10% or so, and combined with leverage and precise entries worked very well.

I don’t know who’s running the market, I suspect the exchanges using high frequency bots, and it’s hard to spot because they never look the same, but there are patterns that repeat and if you know how to correlate them to other market factors then they can be exploited.

I’ll post back here with my results if I get back on track and start trading again.

Thanks for the replies.

Yes it was definitely greed, and because I decided to open a huge eth short when I thought I knew exactly what was going to happen, because i'd already been  right 5 times in a row on each 10% move. I think it was something like 250,000 contracts short on eth at $270.

Difficult taking such a big loss for me, but I'll start again at some point with 0.1...  Although I know it would be very difficult to replicate.

Boom and bust with Bitmex

Hi there,

I'm looking for some advice, and also to share my story.

I've been trading on bitmex for around 2 years, managing to develop an edge that I used to turn 0.15 btc into around 9btc over a few weeks last summer.
I managed to spot an algo pattern that I had seen before, and knew exactly what would happen so used high leverage. This worked out until I got overconfident and the final part of the pattern was different. I used way too much leverage thinking I could make a quick million and quickly destroyed my account.

How do you deal with big losses? I still believe I have a significant edge, and combined with low leverage see the potential to be successful, but don't have the capital anymore.  It is tempting to give up, but I still feel like there is potential to make a lot of money with the right risk management.

Any other stories of people building themselves back up from zero?

Cheers
