Helps working at a motorcycle shop that's for sure!Good discounts and no shipping costs. hard to beat.

Thanks for the compliment on my store. It is really however still quite empty. It’s an unbelievably slow process listing everything, but it's starting to bulk up. Let me know if there is anything in particular you are looking for in one of those listed categories.

If you did buy something you would be the stores first customer Grin

We can combine ship according to weight and you can get a real quick shipping quote from the shopping cart without having to register or anything.

BTW is that an airhead Beemer in your avatar?

Hello Defaced!

Yes it is Magento, how did you guess? Was it the default theme look? Grin I guess you can tell I am not a website designer!  But it's a fairly effective shopping cart system and has some nice features, and I think it doesn’t look all that bad Huh, even in default trim.

Now I really have to concentrate on finishing up the meta descriptions and some SEO, not to mention stocking the shelves. I already have the inventory on hand, I just need to start listing them one at a time....

Thanks for the heads up on coinpayments. I will be watching that for sure, it is certainly something to consider down the road! What really amazed me was the super long list of different shopping carts they support!

I agree, it would be nice to see it available 'in the real world'.  But I think they will be the last holdouts in this campaign to adopt this new technology.

yeah, it still worked but it brought up a new empty window that blocked the view for a moment, but the embeded coinbase iframe called up my wallet. I just found it annoying to have that empty full screen pop up. I am wondering if it was perhaps my browser preferences or default application launcher.

I would like to invite you to come have a look at a little tool store I have cobbled together. I have been working on this for a little while now. It is far from complete, not very much in stock...yet. I have been testing and tweeking and I think it is fairly ready. Now that I have most of the framework up and running correctly (i hope so).  I can dedicate more time to listing goods. If you keep it bookmarked and check-back from time to time you should see it growing.

I hope you will take a look and share your comments on how you find navigating and ease of use and if anyone knows of some good sites for announcing bitcoin based stores / businesses please post it here.

thank-you

Bitpay did have some nice features, like an iframe payment, But when you clicked it it opened another browser window (blank). Just seemed kinda buggy. I ended up going for Coinbase. Far from perfect either, but no fees for now. Really seems like this is still the early days, before their offerings are really refined. I'll give it a go.

Coinbase vs. Bitpay
by

Looking to set up a shopping cart and would like to accept bitcoin.

Coinbase looks ok if your customer already has bitcoins to spend. However if he needs to buy them, he will need a US bank account (not very global). After some days he can verifying that account with Coinbase and initiate a transfer from the account in order to buy some Bitcoins. This seems like a bit of an impediment.

Does anyone have any experience with bitpay, either as a customer or a merchant?

Thanks

Yes I am sure there is a lot more can be done. I am not the real 'creative' type, but I  know I do like 'clean' and am not a big fan of 'cheezy'. This design will likely get me going. Perhaps once I am up and running, i can look at fixing up the theme it a little.

Thanks for confirming that for me. I am wondering what you meant by 'Perhaps, it would work if the joined element is of the same alphabet. ?

Did I use different fonts top to bottom?
