Re: Covid-19 effects on Bitcoin
by

Will the upcoming Bitcoin halving be a non-event due to the state of the world economy affected by COVID-19 ?
First of all there is no upcoming halving atleast for next 4 years. Halving has already taken place a month back. Moreover it's sort of an automatic event which would happen irrespective of COVID-19. How can it be a non-event?

What I think you are trying to ask is that, bitcoin halving might not have impact on price due to COVID-19. First of all you need to understand that Halving is not a guarantee that there would be the next bull run. So the answer to your question is both Yes and No. As significant event Halving was for bitcoin so was the lockdown during Covid for Economy. Now, one school of thought thinks that COVID would have positive effect on crypto therefore both halving and covid will have positive impact then price could rally up. But if Covid has negative impact on Crypto then both could offset each other and we might not see any significance of this Halving. But halving reduces supply in a bit long term not instantly so we have to wait for an year atleast to see effects of Halving on BTC.

Why you going that far to repent! Bitcoin was as high as $1000 in 2013 which was also an average price a year ago.
So in short we can say, if you bought bitcoin a year ago, you could have made 20x profits in just 1 year that is over 5.4% return daily!!  Shocked
Next time you see ponzi sites offering 4-5% returns, you can just laught on them and exclaim, "See I have earned same by just keeping my bitcoins in wallet."

Re: transfer from coinbase without fee
by

on 17/12/2017, 19:09:21 UTC
Hey guys,

How do i transfer to another address at bittrex or gemini from coinbase without fee? Its giving me a network fee of $17, I
just want to transfer bitcoins, i am not converting it to dollar. How do i avoid the fee?

There is no way for that. When you select an option to send on bitcoin address,  they will broadcast your transaction on blockchain. Current network fees is $17 equivalent of BTC so you have to pay it. What you seeing $17 is not actually Dollar fees but BTC fees converted in dollar variant necessary for sending bitcoins

Re: Is Bitcoins goal to end governments?
by
btcbonanza
on 17/12/2017, 18:46:28 UTC
I have seen many people say that Bitcoin will end governments.

But do we really want that?

And if yes how would things like infrastructure be provided without a government? (This is just an example, you can discuss any issue you see fit for this topic)

Governments don't just look after economy. They have numerous other things to do other than framing financial policies.
Whereas bitcoin can only revolutionize finance sector. What about surveys, enumeration, roadways, railways, infrastructure? Can bitcoin solve all these problems?
Absolutely not! So bitcoin isn't the end maker of government at all.

The first one, never listen to others. The can try to maipulate you in the direction of their own investments. Be careful for this. Next, stay in safe side, don't exceed extreme volumes while trading.

That are general and necessary rules!
I would like to add some. Don't rush for buying any coin based on your inner wisdom and the ones shown quick jumps. I have seen many people buying coins just because coin jumped 2-3x in a day. But jump shows already achieved potential. Buying at pumps will only give you losses.

Re: Pumps from hedge funds, are they really dangerous?
by
btcbonanza
on 17/12/2017, 17:21:46 UTC
I'm trying to buy bitcoin for four weeks now.

My fibo retracements are failing every time. My orders just sit there. The price keeps rising, theres no real dip.

Who do you think is pumping it? I think it is the hedge funds who are going to play with CME futures. They are coming with billions of dollars.

If they dump it in a short gambling, what do you think would be the extent of damage? How much would it fall? We cant use TA here, because it is clear human manipulation.

Do you think it is dangerous to buy bitcoin right now?

Past history of bitcoin shows that it rise by 5 and fall by 2, and stabilize at 3. Same formula is keep floating till now. So as it reach $20K, there will be some correction and it will return to $19K then again jump to $21K, and so on.
You need not fear about this rise, CME has very little to play in it. More than CME, it is speculation effect coming from CME which shaping price.

Re: Your favourite ongoing/upcoming ICOs
by

on 17/12/2017, 16:31:29 UTC
Tell me your favourite ongoing/upcoming ICOs. These sites like ICObench overwhelm me, there are to many.

Also give some reasons why. Yeah I know this is the lazy way, but who cares right. Just looking for a top5 and research them see if any are worth getting into.

My favorite is Jibrel Network because of its cleae vision and new-edge tech. Most of the ICOs are ambiguous in describing their vision and talk bla-bla about future. But Jibrel Network is not like them and built a great wallet.
Investing in it could bring great returns. I recommend it.

Alternatively, you can buy fork coins like Super Bitcoin from exchanges. We have seen BCH rising from $300 to $2K, same can happen to SUPER BITCOIN too.

Re: How does bitcoin contribute in global market ?
by

on 17/12/2017, 15:12:22 UTC
Its true to be say that bitcoin gives a huge contribution in global market through different task. Now most of people who are skilled and big investor know about  cryptocurrency and others digital currencies are greatly influenced by the bitcoin currency for purpose of earning profits. They can use as micro currency cause it can be used 24 hours a day and also use so much easily Financial condition are so much strong now only because of this bitcoin currency.

Yes, bitcoin has greatly effected the global market. Most of the people are now investing their money in bitcoin rather than other sources because huge profits that bitcoin is able to give.
One of the biggest advantage of bitcoin as currency is 'freedom'. It gives freedom to individual to use their money in whatever way they want without being afraid of government.

Re: BTC Conversion Rate
by
btcbonanza
on 17/12/2017, 13:40:08 UTC
Hi
I was exchanging some money from Bitcoin to Indian rupees, but here comes a problem that the receiver told me the conversion rate will be done when he receives the money, but how do I know when he received the money in his wallet?

I did more than 5 transactions, but here all exchangers are adjusting the low conversion. We choose to trade when the Rate is high and these people shows when the rate is low on that day.

Due to some  financial problems i need to withdraw funds, but looking to hold soon.
If this is not the right place to post, then please move this thread to proper forums.

Thanks.

You should better use Exchanges.
There are several famed exchanges in India like Unocoin, Coinsecure, and others. They allow you instant selling at the rate you see on exchange and then withdraw money in banks.
Moreover, if you find the selling rates low, you can even sell on your desired rate by opening order similar to exchanges like Bittrex.

Re: Would like info on Cryptopia

I have done few trades on Cryptopia and all of them went smooth for me so I didn't contact their support system ever. So on the basis of user experience, I can say Cryptopia is good. But as you saying they are not customer friendly then you can try others.
Best way to find good exchange is by searching your coin on CoinMarketCap. First search your coin, then open 'Markets' tab and list of exchanges where coin is listed will appear. Just select one having maximum supply and volume and that's all.

Re: Help! Faucets Are Wasting My Time. I Need Better Ways To Earn Bitcoins Asap
by
btcbonanza
on 16/12/2017, 18:47:02 UTC
Good day everybody, I have spent more than one year earning satoshi's from faucet sites and it has amounted to little or nothing to me. I sincerely need the help of professionals here, I need urgent advice and tips on how to earn about $100 worth of Bitcoins in a month.
Note:  This is an SOS call, I await critical solutions urgently.

Seriously faucets are nothing but an necessary stretch of some old way of marketing bitcoin.
Back in 2011-12 when bitcoin was not much famous, people used to distribute bitcoins to make it popular and earn from advertisement in return. But slowly it turns into manipulative business which has now become unfeasible for both owners and claimers.
Best thing you could do is start gaining knowledge about bitcoin. Try writing posts on steemit, twitter, here on forum, etc. Build your audience, build your repo. Afterwards you can convert it into money through advertisements

Yeah, nothing new in that. Almost every popular item in world has duplicate. Internet is no difference.
There are over 20 manipulated domains for MyEtherWallet, with somewhat similar name. Same is the case with bitaddress.
Best thing person could do is to check domain carefully before accessing site. Moreover, if he is regular user of site then should bookmark the site rather than opening link from webpages.
