Re: PhoenixMiner 6.2c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux)
by

on 29/07/2022, 02:01:12 UTC
The new beta version is ready. It is mostly a bugfix release, the more significant upgrades are coming next month. You can download PhoenixMiner 6.3b from here:

PhoenixMiner_6.3b_Windows.zip
PhoenixMiner_6.3b_Linux.tar.gz

The new features in this release are:

  • Full LHR disable mode -lhrdis <n>  1 - yes (default), 0 - no

  • RTX 3060 LHR       ~ 50 MH/s
  • RTX 3060 Ti LHR       ~ 60 MH/s
  • RTX 3070 LHR       ~ 60 MH/s
  • RTX 3070 Ti LHR       ~ 81 MH/s
  • RTX 3080 10GB LHR   ~ 98 MH/s
  • RTX 3080 Ti LHR       ~ 120 MH/s

  • Dual mining TON

  • Fixed an issue with expired SSL certificate that led to "certificate verify failed" errors when connecting to some pools (notably Ethermine) when using SSL connections
  • Show the GPU vendor name in the list of GPUs to make it easier to identify the GPUs
  • Added support for the latest AMD Linux drivers 21.40.1. There are some bugs in these drivers, particularly the clocks and voltages can't be set properly with older
    cards (RX4x0/RX5x0/Vega/RadeonVII)
  • Validated support for the latest AMD Windows drivers up to 21.11.2
  • Fixed issues with AMD RX6700XT cards with the latest AMD and Linux drivers
  • Fixed issues with AMD Vega and Radeon VII cards on latest Windows and Linux drivers
  • Fixed crash with very old Nvidia drivers (3xx.x)
  • Other fixes and small improvements

Known issues (driver incompatibilities, etc.) and workarounds:

If you are using Linux drivers 21.40.1 with Radeon VII cards, you need to add the option -fpwm 1 in order to have proper fan control.
AMD Linux drivers 21.40.1 has finally removed the requirement of PCIe atomics but there are problems when you try to mix Polaris (RX4x0/5x0) cards and Vega or newer cards on the same rig.
Some Nvidia cards will report a lot of stale shares under Windows 11. Using the same driver version under Windows 10 resolves the issue.

Wallet on my computer that used to run FCK is connected to 1-2 nodes right now.  Block height is 617445, much higher than the one on coincave.nl pool.  Unless I misunderstand something...  Not sure at this point what the most recent blockchain is, a bit afraid to reset mine to zero.  Client database folder has only three blockchain files, the latest dated October 2015, no new blocks since then.

Stay tuned, we expect some news in mid Dec.

Awesome! Oh wait...  Angry

I see where you're coming from, as someone invested in a coin who gets some hope and then feels let down. It looks like his spark did get things going for the coin though. I'm just not sure he should lose his trust and or respectability over it especially in this industry where no respect and no trust belong to far worse people. He's still active and working hard.

He may have over reached and maybe that was a mistake on his part, but it seems his intentions were to help.

I know I have done the same in many instances, for web development. I did many sites for free, and at some point I over offered my help and couldn't keep up. Needless to say I only do paid work now Tongue

Anyway I don't want to keep this dragging out on the MRY thread. I'm sure bholzer will be doing a posting push soon. It seems to be his pattern to be working hard, be inactive on forum, then come back with progress.
I'm sure he'll cue in. Meanwhile I wish your coin the best as the community also seems nice.

For those of you unaware, I have once again been out of town for a few days. Now that I am back in action, I will definitely be wrapping up some of these lingering projects this week. Also some good news: The Murraycoin Project, LLC just received a significant, much-needed investment (amount will remain undisclosed) from a new investor plus an additional cash injection in the form of me personally selling the small investment group 3,000,000 MRY for $25,000 USD cash (of which half will be reinvested in The Murraycoin Project, LLC).

It has been a long, slow climb but things continue to fall into place.

Hey man ! What about Silkcoin Recovery .. really not a good way you choosed. For everyone who is not aware:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=676976.760

You can delete this post now or you take this like a man and apologize.

Hey, I went through bholzers' post history and looked at the thread. I'm not sure what was so bad about anything he did. In fact it seems he did more than he needed to with nothing in return. Why are you coming here and  hating? Did I miss something?

The only negative take away is that maybe bholzer is biting off more than he can chew, and as someone who's invested in MRY it would be great to know where his priorites are.
Maybe the other projects are more lucrative and will bring in more ROI for him to work on MRY. I'm not sure, but would be good to know.

Other than bholzer being overburdened I don't see why this is causing a big show. Maybe you can enlighten us all.

Also it seems people don't understand how being really busy works. Days pass like  hours, weeks pass like days. It's crazy. Maybe he needs a personal point of contact to keep the forums up to date, ie: relay any small news so that he can focus on work. It is important to shield any developer from the outside mob so they can focus on getting things done and not get demotivated here.

Bholzer if you're reading this don't get discouraged (i'm sure you're not though; you seem like a strong character). No need to waste time back and forth on threads, just prove everyone wrong with your actions, which you have been doing with MRY coin. The haters can eat their words because that's all they have.

Well, I'm off to the Chive meetup!  Cool
Has Cryptsy responded to messages about the hard fork / software update yet? (I saw a tweet was sent to them but I assume other modes of communication were also used, right?)

Good luck at the meetup! Can't wait to hear how it went! All the best

Amazing! Great to hear! Been mining on Fusionhash for a very long time, they seem trustworthy to host the site. As long as you have a back up and control the domain, the worse case scenario isn't that bad.

@syncsam as you suspected, you can only withdraw coins you get from confirmed blocks. I'm not sure though if the amount of confirms is a pool setting or if the coin code determines this.

Hey everybody. So it appears I've fallen victim to a ponzi that was posing as an arbitrage investment fund called btc-arbs. I lost around 6 BTC, so if anybody is feeling generous, your donations would be greatly appreciated:

BTC:
14vgEZpWf27EeJRBTEjN7ZZnhfG5Lb6bRc

MRY:
MD7vN7w7tF6UmrGZAtcqChtWHRBtdrwfb5

Sorry to hear! If it makes you feel any better I got scammed on Scharmbeck AKA Scambeck shares. You know the shares which Worldcoin was pushing. Never been the same since then. There were other smaller scams in between, but yeah, definitely rips your spirit.

I was debating on getting the shares or buying into ghash.io/cex.io, I should've done ghash. Oh well... What sucks is that these guys get away with it and it really tarnishes and slows down the progress of the crypto world.

I wish you a quick BTC recovery!

Can I send let's say 100 workers to clevermining with 1 BTC address? Is there a limit to how many I can send and/or does it break any efficiency and returns?

Just wondering thanks.

You can add as many workers to CM as you like, with multiple or one btc address. Just make sure that the username is the address only, nothing else.

Great thanks for the quick reply!

This definitely needs a better ANN and more info.
From the site here is the coin info I got, hidden in small text in one line on the footer:

CompuCoin
Ticker: CPN
Algorithm: Scrypt
Max Coins: 35 Million CPN
Block Time: 120 Seconds
Difficulty: Retarget Kimoto’s gravity well every day
Block Halving Rate: 1,802,057 Blocks
Block Award: 8 CPN

Apparently ran by German Management.
They have two "testimonials" from bestblackhatforum.com, although I'm not sure how that would add confidence.

The windows wallet passes virustotal check, although I could not find a link to any open source coin so who knows what it's really doing.
It seems to be mining coins fine.

Compucoin, can you please provide more information on your intro post?

I highly appreciate your feedback. Sorry that you have the impression the details are hidden. We will change this. Thought it is there and shown on every page.

We launched 2 days ago, so please bear with us. There are more testimonials are coming. Rest assure we take everything very serious.

Open source script will be uploaded to Github and all other available places by this week. We are just working to upgrade the Wallet Software, Pool, GPU mining, etc. to make it more handy.

For any question please do not hesitate to contact us at any time.

Great thanks for the follow-up. You have to understand how users are in this forum, just trying to help out as I am also mining this coin Wink

There's a lot of traffic on these forums, but it seems CPN may not have had much launch exposure because it has not been announced in the Announcement section. If you want more eyes on this it should help by moving this post to Alternate Cryptocurrencies -> Announcments (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=159.0).

But that is if up to your preference. I can imagine the technical difficulties of everyone jumping in all at once.

All the best!

Looking for Easy Solo-able coin. Value doesn't matter.
by
btcgoods
on 06/05/2014, 02:41:54 UTC
Hey guys, I'm looking for an easy coin to solo where I can get coins fairly frequently. I consider every 30 mins to an hour to be frequently.

The value of the coin doesn't matter.

It's in order to test a project I am working on, I will be able to throw 2 Mhash or so at it, but if I can get solved blocks with less khash that would be great. I've been really busy and not following the market as much so I'd definitely appreciate any suggestions. Thanks Smiley

PS: I've considered creating a fork of a coin to test, but it seems like too much work just for a quick test and doing so is unrelated to the project although I would love to make a test coin some day.

Didn't this already pass?
