I did look into it also, legally: A class action 12 years post incident is going to be brought against Statute of Limitations + other issues. Also, almost all courts will view the loss you incurred at the date the fraud happened, meaning in the eyes of the law you lost whatever the bitcoin was worth in 2013, not $300k, because you did not LOSE $300k. Sorry, but I don’t think it’s going to work-

I am in contact with a crypto lawyer and have forwarded them evidence.

I lost 4.5 from CL and I like you had no interest in taking legal action 12 years ago (or even at 10k or 50k price). Probably the smartest move as I would have definitely sold way before current market value! But making the move to do something now means we can get the btc back at today’s prices!! Right?

I still have all the evidence plus some additional from digging recently into this more.   Going to contact lawyer I think they would be interested.  Class action?

TradeFortress is back. He is posting a lot of messages lately. What's the status on this? How much did he return and how much he kept for himself?

More than 2000 BTC were returned, and 0 BTC belonging to Inputs users was kept by myself.

TradeFortress you promised me at least a partial refund, I received nothing.

I think when BTC hits 10k USD this particular BTC theft story is going to be one to watch!

What about when BTC hits 100K?  I lost 3.73168237 through inputs.io and coinlenders.

Was any lawsuits ever brought against TM?

I am looking to join in any any all lawsuits, I have much evidence collected as well.  I received zero refunds from TM.  Meeting with lawyer next week.

You don't want to join bitcointalk, Trust me.

haha, yeah, it's already made me depressed, just when I was feeling hopeful

Hello bitcointalk, been lurking for a while, finally decided to sign up. What got me to sign up was the Inputs.io hack. I didn't have btc in inputs, but I do in Coinlenders, in fact most all of my btc. The situation is up in the air, but still hanging on to hope that I'll get at least some of my BTC back. Have learned a valuable lesson, and that is to not store the bulk of your btc in an online wallet.

Just feel so sick and devastated, worked hard to get all those coins, now they are seemingly gone. And as the price of BTC continues to skyrocket up, it makes me sicker and sicker. Really hope TradeFortress is working to make this right.

yeah, I've already been contact with him. I got a few short replies early on, but haven't heard anything from him the past few emails.  And thanks! Hope to at least get my original investment back.

Did you get any refund?  TM still owes me refund of 3.73+ BTC.  I too learned of inputs.io and coinlenders through bitcointalk, devastating scam.

So thats basically my opinion on how things went. He was a very young lonely dude, talented for his age but wayyy too cocky, he launched 3 websites. They got a lot of users, he made a lot of friends and enjoyed the online reputation he had. But the businesses never made any profit. So once his websites bled too much money, he faked the hack and ran away with the rest of the funds, got into altcoin trading and made bank, then decided his best move was to pay back the people he scammed.

Not everyone.  Still waiting for TF to repay my 6 BTC from 2013. Not forgotten, not forgiven.

Agreed not everyone.  I have contacted TF many times since the inputs.io hack, I had money in Coinlenders.

3.73168237 BTC

Here is some of the only responses I received from TF:

TF why was I not reimbursed?  You said it would be handled soon you are a liar and a scammer.

Expect me to keep coming until I am made whole.  I have emailed you all my transactions which are proof and still have all the evidence including your IP addresses from your emails.

I was a CL/Input user, I just discovered this post, I emailed you several times since 2013 promise of reimbursement but received nothing ever.  I just emailed you a couple times last night and this morning from a gmail account.  Please respond.  Coinlenders 3.72963465 BTC

And after this post from OP, don't expect more in 2025...

A number of people have emailed me asking whether the reimbursement program is still open.

I am replying to clarify that the program is closed and no funds are available. Sorry.

Please do not reach out to me about this program.

I think we have right to reach out, it was his negligence that caused us to lose our funds.  Trade Fortress please reply to your email.

Thank you

Hello all.

I heard Trade Fortress was providing some reimbursements a few years back, but I never was notified.

I have emailed him multiple times since the day after the hack and he said he would reimburse a portion but I received nothing.

3.72963465 BTC - Coinlenders

Trade Fortress are you still out there?  I just sent you all the transaction id information from inputs.io to coinlenders.

Please respond to email and make this right.

I also found a wallet address with a little btc in it that was through inputs.io, all I have is a recovery word for the wallet?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Probably because I'm not a scammer?

I don't use shill accounts to vote.

Then please respond to my emails, you promised I would receive some BTC back from coinlenders but have not done it.  You are a scammer if your word is no good.

Re: ✳️✳️✳️Hashie: Refunds Available ✳️✳️✳️Claim by Dec 31st, 2018
by
btchelpneeded
on 06/01/2025, 17:31:32 UTC
Hello everyone!

Did you have a balance on CoinLenders or Inputs.io? A reimbursement is also available - please see the thread.

Refund

A refund for Hashie users is now available.

If you can prove that you had a balance or Hashie miners, I am valuing them at:

- 100% of your account balance, or any amounts spent on FireHashers.
- 0.05986 BTC per 100 GH/s on your account.
This amount is calculated based on the expected earnings of such hashpower, back from 2015 to 2016. After 2016, the difficulty made mining unprofitable anyway. Excludes free miner.
- Nil for AMHash miners, as the obligations are from AMHash.

In addition to these valuations, I am also offering a 15% bonus on top, to compensate you for any opportunity cost, interest, etc and as an apology for how long this has taken. This is on top of the increased valuation of bitcoin since late 2014.

I am able to offer this bonus to Hashie users, as the balances are substantially lower than CoinLenders / Inputs balances.

To claim, please:

- email admin+g [at] glados [dot] cc; with proof of your Hashie balance / miners, or
- send a PM to this bitcointalk account

All refunds are at my sole discretion, and would settle all outstanding obligations. No contractual relationship or obligation is created from this post, and the offer may be modified or cancelled at any time. Not an admission of wrongdoing of any kind.

The planned deadline is Dec 31st, 2018.

History and what happened

Some of you may know that in 2014, I started Hashie with a business partner of mine. The idea was people were valuing cloud mining contracts above and expected payouts due to difficulty increases, and hence selling mining power would turn a profit.

Shortly after launching, Hashie ended up partnering with ASICMINER/AMHash, which was an industry leader then in ASICs and cloud mining contracts. Hashie started selling AMHash products, with all obligations borne by AMHash: all purchases (minus a fee that Hashie collected) were paid to them, and all payouts came from them.

I want to explicitly clarify: the VAST VAST MAJORITY (>1000 BTC) went to ASICMINER, and were NOT Hashie obligations. Hashie was a pure reseller.

Just after Christmas Day 2014, Hashie launched "FireHashers" which were duration-limited mining derivatives. It was an extension and the first step into a marketplace for mining difficulty derivatives. This represented a tiny fraction of all Hashie contracts. The price was algorithmically determined. Unfortunately, for a brief period of time blockchain.info returned '0' for the bitcoin price; meaning the algorithm had a multiplication by zero and essentially sold the miners for free.

This allowed some quick hands to grab whatever that was left in the hot wallet, which was around 50 BTC at the time. It made Hashie insolvent. I was dealing with a lot of personal issues at that time, and the fact that this was my second compromise (after Inputs.io) despite how hard I tried to keep Hashie going and sustainable as a business. Trying to deal with with that, I ended up making a weird Frozen-themed ARG. I apologise.

Within days, AMHash also defaulted and completely disappeared, and exact details are still unclear there. There are rumors that friedcat was arrested for stealing electricity for ASICMINER in China, but in any case, for AMHash Hashie was a pure reseller, and your claims were against them.

Over the past 5 years, I've been slowly making reimbursements to users of CoinLenders and Inputs.io. Today, I'm introducing a similar program for Hashie users. I am sorry for the end result of Hashie. I have not launched anything that held custody of crypto ever since then, and I do not plan to. This is what I am doing for Hashie to try and make things right.

Thank you,
TF

Self moderation
There are a few trolls in my CoinLenders post, so I'm making this one self moderated. Only posts from users I consider trolls / disruptors will be deleted, I will not delete any other posts even if they are critical or rude, etc.

I never received ANY of my 3.72963465 BTC from Coinlenders.  I sent you a few emails recently please respond.  I appreciate you trying to make this right.

According to this
this is what i thought from the beginning. it was clear that some funds were still able to be moved out of inputs.io for quite some time after "the hack." TF continuing to accept deposits while letting others (and himself) cash out, and this goes on for weeks until the pyramid collapses? TF deserves a scammer tag unquestionably.
No. I haven't moved coins out of Inputs personally. The coins I did "move out" are (i) routine signature ad payments, (ii) wallet refill of coinchat/coinlenders, (iii) CL associated payments and (iv) coins moved to reduce hot pocket amount that are now being used to repay users.

Everyone who was aware of the hack previous to the public announcement were not Inputs users.
Tradefortress refilled the coinlenders wallet with the remaining funds, so just maybe use coinlender users will see compensation after all

What ever happened this with I was a coinlender user, I never got repayed.  TradeFortress please make this right, I lost 3.72963465 BTC through coinlenders.

Well keep in mind that he said he will only reimburse a specific percentage amount based on the pricing back in '13 (dont know what month or day so he should clarify that), but at this point only time will tell. I have seen people who have attempted to repay their debt before so if he does keep his word, good for him.

Just to clarify, the reimbursement is for a % of your BTC balance. It is NOT based on value in 2013, it is a majority of your BTC balance.

Back in 2013, I offered to settle accounts based on USD values at times of deposit. Even if you have settled for that, you are still eligible for this reimbursement.

If you're not a CL user, or joined bitcoin after the whole thing happened, this thread isn't for you. I will be distributing all funds to CL/Inputs users in any case, and would like as many people to receive their share as possible. At no point will I ever ask for payment, and if anyone asks for payment, you're talking to an impersonator. There is nothing I can gain from this.

The point is, if you were a CL/Inputs user, please talk to me, especially if your contact details have changed, or you never reached out to me in the first place and hence I may not have your records.

I was a CL/Input user, I just discovered this post, I emailed you several times since 2013 promise of reimbursement but received nothing ever.  I just emailed you a couple times last night and this morning from a gmail account.  Please respond.  Coinlenders 3.72963465 BTC
