possible breakout brewing.

I think you could possibly be correct here. Look at the charts from the past two days. Huge jumps around 12-1AM EST both nights, which would line up pretty much dead on with your chart.

Thing is is its literally controlled by China not technicals $382 as support doesnt mean anything when we're following Chinas every move...

I agree. This is the main reason I cashed out at $410 this morning and will hold fiat until after the 15th, and possibly the 18th. Every time we think the bad news is priced in, the market proves otherwise. The reason the value will continue to drop until those dates is because I can't be the only one with this mentality right now. I don't care if bitcoin drops to $100, I will not buy until this China crap is gone and over. Which as it seems, might never happen...

Any thoughts on what the recent decision from the IRS on ruling Bitcoin as property is going to do to the price now?

Hey Doc, would it be possible at some point to get a graph page that shows performance? BTC Guild has a pretty nice one that shows several different time periods. The reason I ask is I have a Terraminer IV, and it seems to be bouncing around a good amount in your pool. Based on the averages shown in the shifts page I am doing 1.6-1.7 Thps on average during a whole shift, but it gets as low as 1.3, and as high as 2.1 during that shift. I see this on the live stats page. It would be nice to see if the changes in performance were happening at certain times of day, etc. Just a thought….

The live hashrates are measured over a shorter time than most pools, so it does jump up and down a bit. It's an estimate and not accurate. The shorter time we measure that over, the less accurate it will be. Also, if you set a minimum difficulty and set it very high then there will be more variance which will cause the hashrate to be less accurate. I'll think about changing the measured time frame for the live hashrates. I could show the shifts average hashrates as a graph in addition to as a table, but I guess it wouldn't really help much.

Thanks for the response. It makes perfect sense. I still have my difficulty set to default, which I believe you have set to 20 correct? Is this still what you would recommend for my hashrate?

Is that normal?

As if blocks below 75% don't exist anymore, or something...

Don't know if it's normal, but I do know it's painful.

yeah it can happen.  this is now a small pool. percent wise    down side means bad luck is really long and slow.  if you look at the chart 92% lasts 1 day.  there was a time a 92% block would take us under 4 hours .  why asic miner was king of the world last spring and came to our pool we had more then 30% of the entire network.  we made lots of 5 and 10 minute blocks.

This pool has a huge upside if it gets hot you can earn 3x what you should in a single day.     of course when you move here from a pool like btcguild or cex.io you can be very annoyed when the cold streak comes.  I finally got back to a high hash rate and am now at 850gh.  Was with the doc for more then 15 months in a row. but I moved to btcguild in jan of this year.

A few days ago I felt luck and switched back here hoping for good luck.  So my 850gh has earned me about .04btc in a 2.5 day period.
if I had stayed with btcguild I would have made around .24 btc  I was hoping to over earn.
not under earn with the switch.
I think I will bail tonight as the bad luck is tough.

That is probably my plan too unfortunately unless this block gets solved soon and the next one is better. I know it's all luck, but I am at 1.5-2 Thps, so the bad luck is really killing me.

I've been following this thread for a long time, but finally signed up and figured it's time to contribute. I received my Terraminer IV yesterday, and my order was placed early November. So far it is performing very well. It crashed once last night after being powered up for about three hours, and I lost one of the boards today. It recovered quickly both times after a quick reboot. As far as hashing goes, it has gotten as low as 1.2-1.3Th/s. It has gotten as high as 2.06 Th/s, and stayed there for a few minutes. Overall it seems to be averaging 1.6-1.7 Th/s.
