Each day, a news comes out that a 5-year-old kid who bought a few bitcoins with his pocket money a few years ago has now turned into a millionaire; thanks to his innocent investment and leaves me feeling envious EVERY SINGLE TIME. I'm making this post just to convey a message to NASA: "If you guys could invent a time machine so the bitcoiners could go back into the time and rectify the mistake of not putting their money into Bitcoin, that would be great!!!"

Nothing is going to happen. Considering the hype that surrounded it for years, I must say its a disappointing end to what has been an exciting ride.

Depends on how you define instant. If it's around 4-5 years, then yes. If by instant, you mean a couple of months/a year, then NO, it's NOT!

No doubt Bitcoin price can sky rocket at any time but it would still need a couple of years to appreciate and generate enough revenue for you to become a millionaire. However, if you just wanna sell it for smaller profits, then it could be a good investment option for you IMO.

I only look at BTC as a good investment option. You buy some, wait for the price appreciation and then sell them. No sentiment involved whatsoever.

And who will do so? Since there is no central authority managing bitcoins, I doubt anyone will be willing to do the advertisement with their own money. The money you'll be putting into the advertisements can be utilized in buying bitcoins so why go the other way?

I don't really think it would affect Bitcoin since Bitcoin is not deep-web-dependent. Although the end of deepweb would affect Bitcoin's value, it wouldn't be enough to bring the currency down.

My plans are to wait for them to go as high as possible, then make millions by selling them and live the rest of my life happily.

Saving Bitcoin for future is itself a fun. I mean whats a bigger fun than buying something for pennies and after a few years, make millions off of it.

Don't know the exact number but there are so many countries that used to be against Bitcoin but are now starting to accept Bitcoin payments. India, Russia, are few to name. These countries were strictly against Bitcoin but the recent stance of their local governments has shown a great shift in policy. Consequently, the demand of Bitcoin has suddenly gone up in those countries.

No. Unless or Until the recipient voluntarily returns them, there is no way you can get them back. And I'm afraid you'll never find someone this generous 

Afraid? Not. Excited? Absolutely yes. I mean come on, the day that we have been discussing for years is finally knocking on the door. Why should we be afraid of it?

IMO, it's never too late to buy Bitcoin. A few years ago, people who thought Bitcoin was too expensive and didn't deserve the appreciation it received must be pulling their hair out of frustration now. You might think that Bitcoin's current prices are way too higher, and no doubt they are so for many people. But 5-10 years from now, who knows a little investment of yours from today may turn you into a tomorrow's millionaire? Because the only way for Bitcoin from here is upwards.

You must be new to the crypto world. A quick rise, followed by a prolonged downfall is the norm here. I'm not surprised and I'm absolutely positive that Bitcoin and other altcoins will pick up their pace again.

Tie them off, put them into a sack, and throw them into a river. Jokes aside. I would try to lay out the advantages that this crypto has to offer and convince them about giving it at least a shot before they turn their backs on this currency for good.

Due to it being in very small quantity, 21 million to be precise, bitcoin will never become widespread enough to eliminate the need for traditional banking. We will always need the banking system to carry our daily as well as our business transactions.

Well, that's a great news for Germans, I guess. Being a Bitcoin enthusiastic, it's so frustrating that there's no one in my country (Pakistan) - at least to my knowledge - that has any idea about Bitcoin and they still treat fiat as if it's the only way to trade. Hopefully we'll also make progress in Bitcoin soon.

Yes, this IS an issue with Bitcoin. The transactions are slow which can be pretty annoying especially when we need to make a quick purchase. All we can do is pray that the block size increases so that we can achieve faster transactions.

About 5 years ago, my elder brother bought something using Bitcoin. at that neither he nor I was aware of the progress this currency would make in the coming days. So, we didn't really think about putting some of our sources into it. Don't ask if we regret the decision now 

I agree with every word you have said. Bitcoin needs no segwit or any crap that could potentially bring it down. It's great the way it is and I don't really understand what's causing this turmoil around Bitcoin.

Use cold storage wallets. Armory/Electrum are the most reliable ones for me. The reason I prefer cold storage is because it's immune to hacking attacks and the only way of losing access to your coins is if you lost it.
