  Hello, I have been on Bitcoin Gold team since November 2017 https://bitcoingold.org/our-team/ , we are not a scam. We are the first Bitcoin fork that switched from ASIC mining to GPU only. It is also true that we were 51% attacked in Q2 2018, however so was Verge, Monacoin, Vertcoin, other projects at that time. Since then, we have hard forked in July of 2018, our new mining algorithm is called zhash(Equihash-BTG). https://bitcoingold.org/a-successful-network-upgrade/ It is ASIC-resistant again, the memory footprint is about 2GB.

  Also, there was a premine, it is true. (I honestly do not think the trolls will ever stop saying that, but at least now there's a simple link to prove them all wrong  )

Both articles are full of lies. http://crypto51.app shows that currently only 4% of BTG's nethash is rent able via Nicehash, that makes it impossible to attack us 'easily'. We forked July 3 to renew ASIC-resistance and to help secure us from being 51% attacked https://bitcoingold.org/a-successful-network-upgrade/ . It was completely successful

Another thing that it appears people misunderstand is just how much mining support we actually have. Consider that 1 1080ti  video card produces around 75sols and a 1060 around 33, this can put into perspective just how many GPUs it would take to have 1.5msols (1,500,000sols), that is the amount required to have 51% of our nethash today, while the entire market is very low. Now imagine how much it would cost for the hashrate required once the market recovers and our nethash goes back to 4.5msols and higher.

It is not impossible to attack BTG, but it is also not easy or cheap. Hope this explains everything. Cheers!

Hello, in my opinion it is not ASICs or big players. The hashrate increase is exactly on schedule since ZEC and ETH have ASCIs, the rising difficulty makes GPU mining no longer profitable, those with mining rigs who will not sell look for another GPU coin, monero and bitcoin gold are the highest marketcap coins that I am aware of.

Bittrex only accounted for 2-5% of trading volume according to CMC, their delist had no long term effect, as you can see our price actually went up since then.

We are also open deposit/withdraw tradeable on plenty of other exchanges including Binance, HitBTC, Bithumb and Bitfinex.
