If someone knew the answer to this question, I doubt they would stick around trying to answer this question in this forum. They would be partying like crazy into the night. The truth is that no one can say for sure which altcoin will make you rich op. Luck and smart thinking play a big role in determining if you will become rich or not. Do your research and pick the coin which you feel will blow up in the future. For me, it is Stellar Lumens all the way.

I think you should invest now. The values may be a bit high right now but if you wait, it will get even higher. You may have missed the dip but it doesn't matter since there is no perfect time as to when to invest. What matters is how much you are willing to invest and if the coin you are investing in will surely give you slme profit. Though it is advantageous to get some coins at a low price but it doesn't directly affect you profit; the difference is not that huge.

90% of the airdrops are pure scam, you fill in the wallet of coins that are worth nothing. you find yourself with 100 coins in the wallet with a value equal to zero and if you want to sell it you have to spend gas. practically we go to lose. But the good coin can also happen that can make you earn something but we always talk about a few picks

If BTC value decreases, buy more!

There are absolutely no signs that btc is going to dissapear or crash altogether.
In fact, the future is incredibly bright for btc.
Mass adoption and more and more real life use cases increase its value.
On top of that, it has beat out all the other forked bitcoins and is still champ.

On one hand, I know it is easy to be turned off by the high price of btc, but it goes all the way to one satoshi you know (.00000001)
And when the price decreases it is easy to feel panicky.

But time and time again it has always bounced back stronger than before.
One of the best advice you will ever find on this forum is this: when people are panic selling, you buy, when people are buying and pumping, you sell.  Do opposite of the panic trend and you will most certainly come out on top.

I have two altcoins which I intend to hold for that period of time.
They are ethereum and deeponion.
I see great potential on these two coins, I know they will truly be worth something in the years to come.
Especially with DeepOnion because even though it is still on its early development stage, the amount of support it gets from the community is truly astounding.
Added to that is the work being given by the devs in developing the coin.

There's a pump with NEO and a lot of rumors and good news are pumping with this coin. But if I were you, I'm going to buy ETH if you don't prefer to invest with bitcoin. And if you'll try to invest that $500 with bitcoin just for few days it can be $600 - $800. You just have to monitor the charts daily so that you can sell at the right time, I know bitcoin is quite expensive but if you'll buy some it will be worth it.

because bitcoin is a real thing, you can give bitcoin or some portion of it and receive anything physical in return, from paying your check in a restaurant to buying real estate you can do with bitcoin.
but the same thing is not true for altcoins. they are always going to be virtual tokens which only get speculative demand.

because of this, the demand for bitcoin is mostly real and small part speculative. and that demand is rising.
also the supply of bitcoin (unlike most of the altcoins) is small and it also is limited (unlike many altcoins). less supply and rising demand means a huge price and a rising one.

there is currently around 16 million bitcoin available. go and compare this number with the number of coins available for other altcoins. you can use a website like coinmarketcap.com
