Not good choice if you do day trading because you will spend more fees than holding and waiting for the higher price before sell..
Also the benefits of holding coins is to get the maximum profit you can get.. if you bought them in low price ..
And honestly you can't monitor them in time to time.. If you are investing in bitcoin i suggest you to hold but there are some altcoins are sometimes the price is getting worst if you still holding them. So what should you do is to investigate if they had a solid devs that you think in the future that the price can increase higher.. there are lots of coins honestly are getting increase its value for long run ..

basically i go for hold. first rule to make profit is buy low sell high. Crypto currency trading needs a lot patience. Buy bitcoin/altcoins when they are low and sell them when they are high. You can use many sites for trading altcoins. like you can buy any altcoin in yobit and check its price on other sites like cryptopia or any other. if the price there is high just transfer then and sell them. remember to calculate the profit along with transfer charge.

Bitcoin and etheruem prices are falling because more and more investors are selling Bitcoin/etheruem at low prices, causing the price of Bitcoin/etheruem to drop. If they continue to hold Bitcoin/etheruem at a low price I am sure the price of Bitcoin/etheruem will not fall this way. By far the best altcoin that I have invested in is Ethereum. The coin has provided with hugh profit gains in the past. my biggest regrets in Cryptocurrency is i am not borrow some money to buy some of bitcoin in last year so if i am borrow it, then i will easily to give back the amount of money because i have a big profit for selling bitcoin in $1100 in a weeks ago. But we can not predicted and we don't know what will happen in the future so i think the best thing that we can do for now is continue to trying to earning much of bitcoin as much as we can.

ethereum is a big altcoin but it is still a pump and dump altcoin. there are so many hard believers in it around this forum but that never saves a project with so many issues. and speaking of investment, the unlimited supply of ether which already has a huge circulating supply is not going to be kind to the price in future.
this makes ether a good short term investment only during the pumps and a bad one for long term since the price will go down in long.

bitcoin on the other hand is the only cryptocurrency that has actual usage. it is adopted as a currency by many big companies such as Microsoft and lots more. even countries like Japan adopted it as a currency. that leads to more adoption and with it price rises.
and with the limited and small supply of bitcoin the price has only one way to go and that is up. which is why everyone says bitcoin is the only long term investment here.

Everyday for me is a learning experience in trading. What I thought can be applied in a trade that I made last week cant be applied in a trade that I made today. No trade is the same.
