I'm not a fan of CNN but whatever helps get the word out about this great project is good to see.

I'm gonna call it, they stole it, they weren't hacked.

I got very bad vibes from these people during any interactions. They are very rude and had no respect for their customers or Nano, exactly the type of people who would help themselves to other people's money.

after the XRB snafu in january, i was already half expecting an exit scam. adding mandatory KYC (to withdraw anything) with no notice a couple weeks ago smelled fishy as hell too. i wish i could say i'm surprised. i missed out on a lot of XRB action because i was unwilling to touch bitgrail or mercatox. they are both incompetent at best, scammers at worst.

Bitgrail owner's signature on bitcointalk:

You either die a developer, or live long enough to see yourself become the scammer.

interesting... Shocked

Yes, it was fishy.

In retrospect it looks like this was a delaying tactic to stop people learning there wasn't enough XRB left on the exchange to cover withdrawals.

By making it as difficult as possible for people to access their funds they could keep it going a while longer. They didn't give a shit about KYC, it was just a plausible excuse.

I hope the funds can be seized on Mercatox and returned.

Now the owner of the exchange is making veiled threats to his own customers daring them to reveal their identity by getting verified.  Grin

Lel, glad I didn't keep my XRB in this shithole joke of an exchange.

This thread was great for a time but now it's full of all sorts of shit that ARE NOT AIRDROPS!

Bounty campaign? Not an airdrop, fuckoff.

Competition? Not an airdrop, fuckoff.

ICO extra giveaway? Not an airdrop, fuckoff.

Can a mod please sort it out?

The market cap's already rebounded somewhat to $420b from $350b.

I wonder how much of this buying is financial institutions?

Exactly.

Yeah, the tech is here now, it's not going anywhere. But we are giving up control of it to the same old status quo every time there's a panic.

You're a future multi-millionaire if you hold a decent amount of top-100 coin, if not already, all you have to do is stay strong while others panic.

Anyone remember the original vision of cryptocurrencies?

Remember when it was supposed to be a way to get away from central bankers and government control and allow people to control their own finances?

Now short contracts appear and suddenly one news story about India - that's not even true - can get reported by the lapdog media and everyone loses their shit.

I've seen so much anti-crypto FUD of late, people almost willing the market to go down. You're letting them win. One thing for sure, bankers will be buying today and will control the market further. Is that what you want? Or do you want to go back to fiat and having your wealth printed away to pay for shit you don't agree with and cannot change?

If you don't want to be a debt slave, find your fucking spine and HODL!  Cool

This is the user who warned me off Coinsmarkets months ago, after this I was very careful not to leave much in there:

Guys be carefull with coinmarkets.com (the exchange for XIOS). It's a scam.
Server is in the US. The URL is registred in The Netherlands. I called that address. Got an old lady on the phone that hang up because she does't talk to strangers

Ok, maybe you're right, but it seems fishy.
The registrant of the URL is certainly not real.

Registrant Contact

Name: juvo marceles
Street:Surinamestraat 26 2585 GJ Den Haag
City: amesterdam
Postal Code: 2585 Gj
Country: NL
Phone: +31.0001220358

Den Haag and Amsterdam or 2 different city's.
Amsterdam is spelled wrong.
I know that street in Den Haag. It's a home address. I called it. The old lady who lives there doesn't want to talk to strangers on the phone.

Maybe it is not a scam, but at least it is fishy.
Better be warned then sorry.

The address is most-likely fake.

You've been scammed people, face it. I've been waiting to see this exit scam since Coinsmarkets started. Back then someone on this forum rang the registered telephone number and got some old Dutch lady who knew nothing of cryptos or Coinsmarkets. With this in mind I never had more than 0.05 BTC in there and never for long.

We had been warned. If people just believed that person who did that lil background check of calling that number.
My first impression on this exchange was really not that good.
The interface is not user-friendly and even the pairings are not well organized.
But I used it several times as there were some coins traded only on this exchange.
And yes, good thing that I never stored btc for so long on them.
And now, their website is totally down!

Yeah, interface was shitty.

The only good thing was it gave lots of new coins their first exchange. Mostly shitcoins but some gems. The only reason I occasionally used it a little  knowing it would likely end in an exit scam.

In xrb lot of problems with the wallet ,the developers themselves pamp it now,I don't think it will replace bitcoin.

What problems? Webwallet is fine.

Developers pumped it? Really? Did they have a spare 4 billion dollars down the back of their sofa to pump from nowhere to 17?

Raiblock's growth is one of the most organic I've seen.

Nothing gonna come in once day and replace bitcoin. People should stop with the over hype stuff.

Another one who can't read, it's the first thing I wrote.  Roll Eyes

"To start I should say I don't think any coin can or should replace Bitcoin as the most dominant coin."

You early bite Bitcoin. In the near future will make a number of changes in its code and everything will fly! Bitcoin was, is and will be a long time crypto currency number 1!

I thought the same with you. Bitcoin was , is and will be number one always in future. King of cryptocurrency is bitcoin no other altcoin can change it. All the exchange offer market pair into bitcoin not other altcoin. However if bitcoin will be changed and it will be changed by etherium.
Well there's 2 side of thoughts: mine is that Bitcoin, at its current stage, can't be fixed. Changing Bitcoin to work like RaiBlocks would have more chance that break it than fix it and taking an even 0.00001% of chance to break this now "virtual gold" is not an option. Bitcoin will unfornately stay like it is. It remains a safe investment as it will remain the first for all coins, but one coin will have to take over the mass adoption role.

I do not see why only those two altcoin are the only ones with legitimate aspirations to displace the bitcoin from its current leadership. In fact I do not even see in the near future that bitcoin can lose its hegemonic place as the most popular and coveted of all cryptos, although I have no doubt that eventually and by mere speculation some other coin could take in a temporary mod the first place in marketcap. In addition raiblocks is a very new altcoin that few really know, and there are still big projects to emerge throughout this year.
Well Bitcoin Cash is currently the one competing the most with Bitcoin because mainly of its market cap (Ripple and ETH are too different to be competitors)

Why RaiBlocks is a new competitors that should scare Bitcoin much more than like Litecoin or other coins that have the same purpose? Because RaiBlocks does PERFECTLY what Bitcoin try to do but fails at. RaiBlocks is a completely new technology that is far better than the one created by Satoshi Nakamoto. Satoshi did a good job but probably didn't expect his coin to be as much popular and before RaiBocks there was surprisingly no coin that could claim to have unlimited scalability. We now have a coin that offers all what we want for a mass adoption distributed currency.

That sums it up very well. Raiblocks is the only coin that could go to $20,000 and function exactly the same as it does now. Some people don't seem to understand this or why that's such a big deal, but it's a huge step forward for cryptocurrencies.

Avoiding the subject again? weather is rainy if you really want to know. how the consensus is better than Bitcoin in XRB? how is the generating new coins better than Bitcoin?
Distribution completed, it says on the main page of Raiblocks.net, this is supposed to be a viable replacement of Bitcoin? loling is completed, pure shitcoin only listed on 4 exchanges, 2 of them start with Bit in their names.

Ask questions politely and sanely and I'm sure someone will bother trying to find the questions among your poor English and rambling.

would love to trade PHR at cryptobridge, you guys should check it as an alternative to cryptopia.

It's not an alternative, volume on crypto-bridge is ridiculously low. It's nice exchange though.

It will take off. I think decentralized exchanges will be very busy over the next few years. Might be a good idea to get on them now.

There are so many coins better than bitcoin but as you know that the market isn't rational and it is highly manipulated. So only time will tell if your opinion is true

I actually think it's rational for Bitcoin to remain #1 for reasons I stated earlier in the thread. It's just if it does get knocked off the number 1 spot, we'd all be better off with Raiblocks.

i prefer bcash from raiblocks, because its coin I think less so obviously I had time to have coin xrb from faucet as much as 3000 xrb but I already sell, if I save maybe I have become rich
You could never get rich, these Billions of dollars you see coming into the Raiblocks were earned by killing people, stealing Billions of dollars from countries like mine, if you had your 3000 and other beggars would've kept their thousands of Raiblocks, you could never see such prices, they would spread some news about the coin dying and crashing, beggars like you and me would immediately dump to earn as much as we can, if you hold them on exchanges, some day you'd see the exchange delisting the coin forcing you to withdrawal, if you keep them on your wallet, they would do something to make you dump.

They have been doing this for years with thousands of coins identical and with the same code, they would always collect 99% of the supply before pumping it on their own exchanges.

How much do they pay you for writing this OP? you should add to your for asking questions, how do you mine Railblocks? you mine it by delegated proof of stake voting or DPOS. there is no FAQ on the main site, only something about paying people with Raiblocks to block the advertisements shown on web pages, what does that have anything to do with a decentralized currency?

how do you earn Raiblocks? who would pay the costs if some body spammed the network with 1 Million transactions per second? this shitcoin is around for ever, why did it start to rise after Bitcoin skyrocketed from $3000 to $18000?

And the last but the most important question, who's in charge of Raiblocks? I need to beg for $10,000 worth of Raiblocks, a man has got to eat and also desires to jump an opposite sex.

(note that I'm in dire need of jumping at least a paid prostitute at least for half an hour, but I don't have the place to do that, alright I give up, just give me enough Raiblocks so that I could at least pay the prostitute for that thirty minutes and rent a motel room or something, note 2, there are no rest rooms like you see in American movies in my country, so there is that). first lol and then rofl to warm up your body.

Tl;dr

Try separating into paragraphs, it's much easier to read and you look less crazy.
Tl;dr

Still in dire need of knowing the answers to my questions, specially the one related to holy matrimonial intercourse a.k.a jumping purposes or hitting some pussy in slang. remember to lol before rolling on the floor laughing.

What's the weather like on your planet?

It won't though, I love Ethereum but it has the same problems as Bitcoin, just less pronounced due to it being worth a lot less. If Ethereum was worth 50 grand we'd see the same problems. Maybe even if it was worth as much as Bitcoin is now. It's already expensive at times to move Eth around, and using EtherDelta can gobble through your money fast.

For mass adoption and scalability, Raiblocks would be much better, it's not even a contest, I refer you to the gif posted earlier by christianb35.
