Re: Trading based on "Rich List"? Which Wallets are whales and which aren't

One way I determine if its an actual person is if the withdraw ends in *.98, because *.02 is the fee Bittrex charges for withdraws. So if somebody withdraws 1000 Coins, 999.98 will get deposited.

That'll never work because it assumes that everyone withdraws a whole number of coins.

You'd have to figure out what the addresses are of the exchange wallets, and look for transactions to/from them. But this will also pick up people who are simply using exchanges as a way to obfuscate/launder coins via off-chain transactions.

Re: Looking For A Partner to Help with CryptoCurrency Trading Analysis
by

I am looking for someone on this forum who is very good at new cryptocurrency analysis to help me take advantage of price spikes before they happen.

So you want someone who will make money for you.

I am willing to take all the investment risks and compensate your daily analysis with a % of the profits (will discuss over PM only).

And since you're unwilling to state what percentage you'll pay them, presumably out of fear of being made a laughingstock, I think it is safe to assume it'll be low, certainly not two and twenty. And since you dont say how much capital you have, it'll probably be a relatively small 5 figure amount too. I bet your PM box will be flooded with offers from people wanting the chance to make a hundred bucks a year working for you.

Learn with this http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KY7WXJU Seat of Your Pants Crypto-currency Trading Guide!!!! You too can trade on your own.

An obvious shill attempt. You might want to proof read your 11 page "book" sometime. Just a single sentence from the preview:

"So, this g guide, its inteent to give aall traders neew and old ssome insight and tools inn order to maake the best decisions poossible in ordder to minimmize your riskk in the tradees you makee".

So in order to reach a massive 11 pages, did you have to insert two pages worth of typos? And why did you choose a picture of a 20+ year old mac for the cover?

I was talking about how things should be, not necessarily how they are. Obviously there's been many injustices...any idiot can see that.

You keep on dodging the question of how exactly the police, military and courts would operate without violating individual rights.

I am of the school of thought of Jefferson (governs least governs best) and Einstein (only justifiable purpose is to ensure unhindered development of individual) If you don't believe in the rule of law of some kind then you believe in anarchy.

So you want the least amount of government, yet are against anarchy.

You are a perfect example of someone experiencing cognitive dissonance.

Your posts to not cite any specific facts that dispute what i said.

I did, go back and read my post, or do I need to hold your hand and walk you though it?

Please refrain from personal attacks.

Oh noes, I hurt your feelings? On the internet? Who would do such a thing? Hold on, let me find your bottle.

It's called anarchy.  I think they are trying something like that in Somalia.

Anarchy is the form of government in Somilia? Hassan Sheikh Mohamud would disagree with you. Now stay mad that you can't say how the police, military and courts dont inherently violate individual rights.

Criminal cases are ultimately paid for by tax revenue.
No, and if you were to control your autism you would have realized we were discussing civil matters.

If you had someone stalking you and needed to take out a restraining order
Why would I want to take out a restraining order? They do nothing to protect you, and SCOTUS has set the precedent that police departments are not obligated to enforce them, see Castle Rock v. Gonzales (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castle_Rock_v._Gonzales). I have a Kel-Tec RFB, FNH FNP-45 Tactical, Level 3A vest and helmet, SAPI plates, etc.

I am not sure what war you are referring to in the most powerful military not being able to conquer a nation of goat herders.
Have you been living under a rock for the past decade?

The government contracts private companies to pay build roads, and pays them for their services. Hence the government pays for the roads.
Your autism is strong. Watch this video and it will explain what the government is doing

I think Courts are also valid.
So are local police protection and army on the national level.

Oh the irony, those are the 3 most often used ways for the government to violate individual rights. But keep on pretending that they are actually there for your protection.

Without the courts (paid for by taxes)
You've never been involved in a civil case have you? The participants in the case pay court (or arbitration) costs, its not some service you get for free paid for with tax dollars. This ignores other costs or accessibility issues.

As far as national defense is concerned, this will likely not be paid for on a voluntarily basis.
Because people cant defend themselves? The worlds most powerful military couldnt conquer a nation of goat herders, in a area smaller than Texas, with a population only 8-9% of the US's and a fraction of the number of arms in private hands.

b-b-but muh roads!
Private companies build them, not the government.

The purpose of government SHOULD be to protect individual rights.  If you have a different idea, feel free to share it.

You can think whatever what you want, but it doesn't change the fact the any act a government would generally perform inherently violates a individuals rights, especially "national defense".

What? no. Haven't you ever watched reality TV cop shows? They lie about being a cop all the time!

Yes, reality TV is the proper source for legal opinions. Actually referencing case law such as Frazier v. Cupp apparently is not a valid source.

it is usually $1000+ that's illegal, not $5000... Don't listen to the other people in the thread who say otherwise...they are clueless.

Here we go again, more reality TV legal opinions. Of course we should ignore that 18 USC 1956, 1957 and 1960 completely contradicts you, and the OP of this thread.

1. Why don't you just split up the transactions
3. I don't think that it is a big issue as long as you do not buy everything in 1 massive transaction.

The amount of stupid in this thread is starting to make my head hurt. See 31 USC 5324

4. Buy on Coinbase and then put the coins through a tumbler into another wallet.

Actually, national defense is one of the few services I would voluntarily pay for.

After reading the list of agencies you enumerated, it is pretty clear that you dont understand what national defense is. It is also aparent that you dont understand what the purpose of government is, if you think it is there to protect individual rights. The only function the government serves is to limit individual rights.

I dont know what arbitrage is called, and even if I did I wouldn't bother to search the forums, let alone take 5 minutes to think about why someone would release this bot instead of using it themselves, or all the ways in which this could go wrong. So could you please send me a link to one so I can make money by putting zero effort in to a problem.

Re: Price dumped on silkroad auction news?
by

The total represents about eight days worth of mined coins, so it shouldn't change things too much.

Could you please elaborate more on that, or send me a related link where I could learn about this conclusion?

Thanks!  Smiley

It takes 10 minutes on average to generate a block and each block rewards 25 BTC, so that works out to approximately 28.8k BTC generated every 8 days.

Write your own tool, something like this would be trivial to write in PHP (or a similar language). Or wait till JBison offers a paid service which their site says they will some time in the future. I'm assuming if you pay them, they'll change their limitations to something more useful.

Re: Divorce's new weapon

No kidding.   Even the male judges in the US system heavily favor women.   Even druggy women...

This is for good reason, the courts in the US have a financial incentive to favor them because of the Child Support Performance and Incentive Act of 1998. The states get from the federal government about 10% of whatever they collect in child support, and because men generally make more than women for a variety of reasons, women usually end up getting the children so the state makes more money. Even if custody of the child is shared equally and hence both parties have equal expenses, courts will often order child support simply because it makes them/the state money from federal kickbacks.

You have a problem still that if you don't marry a women you get this common law marriage thing that comes into play after 10 years together or something anyway so you have to get a contract around that as well.

We're living in the 19th century now?

Re: Need volunteers to get big chain Grocery stores in America to accept bitcoin
by
burnettm
on 03/06/2014, 14:10:34 UTC
It would be better to target the companies which make their PoS and self check out systems. If those systems dont support it, then the grocery store will likely never accept it due to the overhead of manually processing a transaction. This also has the upside of having other retailers which use those PoS systems, being able to accept bitcoin.
