I have been around for too many coin launches, ICOs and scams. Here is my take -

PROS
Project is GREAT ... on paper. Blockchain and lottery is a match made in heaven.
Hackathon is a GREAT way of auditing.

CONS
  • If devs wanted integrity - put the bounty on an automated smart contract that either:
    -returns dough to dev at a certain time period
    -allows hacker to take all. its not a bounty if devs can take back money
  • Devs are anonymous, why?

If I was advising a family member on this I woul say: "
  • First, Think about yourself back on the forums, fuming, typing in red caps "scam I want my money back" and thinking - "if only I had known or heeded the red flags"
    Are you ready to take a risk with this, given what you know?
     (== is this a good investment)
     
  • Secondly, do you think this project has the confidence of the crypto community
  • Thirdly, gambling laws??? Implosion (== is this a good investment)

I need to swap my boat load of old educoins. I am trying to sync up my old wallet but there are 0 connections to the network... everytime. Anyone know what I should do? Bootstrap chain?

Yes, 25 million is correct. We've made the first block worth 25 Million to reduce the old EduCoin v1 supply at about a 5000:1 ratio.

The address with the 25 million coins currently has 3 outbound transactions.

1. We sent 10 as a test to the swap server to verify again everything is working as designed.

2. We sent 10%, 2.5 million to the swap server to begin the swap.

3. We sent a second transaction of 10%, 2.5 million to the swap server when roughly 400k coins we're left from the 1st transaction of 2.5 million.

The rest of the coins are currently in cold storage.

There's roughly 2.8 million left on the server to be swapped.

I will post the address of the coins when I get back to my work station.

Awesome. I hope I can sync old before deadline. Anyone has bootstrap chain?

My math tells me it should be (OLD COINS * 0.000247525) Given the following:

OLD coin supply = 101 billion
NEW coin supply  = 25 million

Can new devs confirm?

How do I go about accessing funds in my old wallet.dat?

Right now when I try to use it with the new wallet (v1.0.0.0) I get a message:

"Warning: error reading wallet.dat! All keys read correctly, but transaction data or address book entries might be missing or incorrect."

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Noob questions:
When one starts to use the bot, what will happen to the orders that have been placed on Poloniex before bot goes live? Do I have to liquidate to ETH/BTC before bot goes live so it has a "clean slate"?
Moving forward, what happens if I place manual orders while the bot is live? Does the bot only "minds its business" or does it take over manually placed orders if they meet some set parameters?

I am looking to buy a licence, the goal is to trade on Poloniex. Any second-hand licences available? How much?

Also, are there any instructions for setting it up on AWS or any other cloud service? I want to be able to access it from anywhere.

Wow... this is an epic post. I will show this to my grandkids one day. We are probably in time where email was 1993 and 3-10 years down the road we will still be looking back to now with a little bit of wonderment.... but not to the proportions of 10,000BTC pizza.
