Guys, I have published 5% faster quark kernal for free and only recieved 0.05BTC in donations.

Do you want a continued opensource developement and a faster hashrate?
Or do I have to sell private kernals?
To keep the business profitable you need to support the developent.
0.01BTC from each of you would be nice.

More than fair, I'll donate .01 now

Some of the rigs aren't even overclocked.  Hell, few bluescreen/reboot crashes happened too.

got two blue screens on two occasions. I've now removed ALL overclock from any of the GPUs
in my desktop PC.

Christian

I was'nt getting blue screens but it crashed every few hours so I switched to x64 and gonna see if that works out.  First I removed overclock but that didn't work so hopefully this will

Heavycoin GPU miner updated on hvc.1gh.com, hashrate improvement >30%, please upgrade.

Damn nice. 25MH on a R290 OC and 22MH on the other 3 R290. Well done!

Decent.  750ti is getting 12-14 and that's $150 (was 150 at least)

5 x eVGA 750Ti SC non overclocked = 61MH

How did you achieve that? My 5x750ti FTW rig is hashing around 45Mh.

i did nothing special. just took the source and compiled it under ubuntu 13.10. runs out of the box that way.

hhmmm, do i need to switch from windows to linux? guessing  you using proprietary and not nouveau drivers

I have 4x750ti with 35khash ... freaking awesome, but 10+ !!! Smiley

Make 2 bat files, use -d 0,1 in one and -d 2,3 in the other. You can thank me later Wink

YOU SIR, ARE AWESOME!!!!!  From 35-38, to 23 per pair, = 46!!!  I'll go ahead and thank you now.  THANK YOU! dunno why i didnt think to try that...

and Christian, you are a god among men, great work!!

I am a bit of a noob to this so please provide as much detail as possible. External links welcomed.

Thanks

Standard desktop case or open case build?

Ok, So basically since I have 4 of these 750ti in one machine, They will only run ~8.5-9kh/s each.  I guess that makes sense, although I'm not sure why

I use the gigabyte z87-OC, and i know the first three pci-e slots run through the CPU, but the 4th runs through the north bridge (or south?).  Maybe thats another thing to think about?

Does HVC mining needs a powerful CPU?

Not sure so hopefully an expert will chime in.  I believe one of the algo's is offloaded to the CPU, but not sure that the i3 is what's causing my issues...

Awesome job Christians, I'm getting 13.7 Mhash on a 750ti and 22.7 MHash each on two 780s (using the Zhpool FIXDIFF pool)! Cheesy

Jesus, how so high?  I have 4 750ti and I'm getting about 8.5 each...  what CPU are you using?  I even modded bios to 45.5tdp and +100clk +350mem....what do I need to do?

I'm getting only 32kh/s - 35kh/s with 4x750ti MSI.  Voltaged bumped to 45.5 and oc +100 clock, +350 mem

Would having an i3 have anything to do with it?  Not sure how to get it up higher

Yah not a good time... Been on hvc the last couple days. Seems to be a little better than multipools at the current rates....

I am having a few issues.   The new version of ccminer is crashing on me every time I run it so I'm stuck using 0.1

With v0.1, when I mine at HeavyCoinpool.com it starts out getting 5 or 6 accepted per second, and gradually slows down. Any idea what would cause this?

Does it matter if you mix and match brands, or would you go all the same brand?

Ya lol, bought the psu first, was gonna go quad 280x, but had to slam the breaks a little bit.  Maybe I'll sell the psu, and get a smaller and go 750ti... i dunno ugh...

Hhmm seems like overwhelmingly, the 270 is more popular.  Have you guys seen the new version of cudaminer, puts out 300-320mh/s, but hhmm you think 480 for the 270?

Would 3 of these running plugged into mobo be a heat issue?  Kind of need it stealthy (size wise, not really noise), so just gonna use a gaming case filled with fans.

I got this mobo, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128594

and already have a 1500w PSU (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817256054)

My original plan WAS to go with 270 or 280, then I heard about what the 750ti could now do, so I started re-thinking.

I'm trying to decide between these two setups.  I can either go with 4 750ti.  I have 1 now that gets about 300kh/s and i think I could get it up a bit with a powered version.

I don't have a 270 but hear they get around 400kh/s

270s are $250, and 750ti are $150.  Plus I would need to spend a little more on a PSU for the 270 setup.

obviously the 270 setup is more expandable without having to build another rig and with the right PSU

Whatcha think?

Edit: i forgot to mention these are just about the best setups i could afford right now
