WE DID IT, 2000 transactions PER SECOND OVER THE NETWORK!!
proof will follow, test it for yourself from your browser

Hi fellow HEATers, please allow me to share a short development status update.

Some interesting and major milestones have been achieved over the past week. To list a few:

Blockchain-Event-Cache

Big steps have been made towards finalizing the Blockchain-Event-Cache, the event cache gave us some real hard challenges to solve. An example being how to store to disk the tip or last N events of a never ending stream of events, without running out of disk space! And do it in such a way that no matter if the HEAT server crashes or shuts down, that at all times the persisted state of the blockchain matches exactly with all persisted events.

The significance of the event cache really can't be overstated. It's workings and design are unique and as far as I know exclusive to HEAT. The event cache should be considered as an ordered list of events where most events map to a whole or part of a blockchain transaction. The event cache has a cursor which points to the current latest event and this cursor can move up and down the list of events.

Thanks for the update, Dennis. And congrats on such a huge technical milestone!

Hi,

can somebody please help me with the understandig of the usage of the token? Do content creators acutally get any kind of reward?
Thats not clear to me after reading the whitepaper.

Thx in advance!

Funny, the only reason I'm aware of $IFT is through idiots shilling it on Twitter...

Like which ones? They do cryptocurrencies like Investfeed?
Imo Santiment is better than this coin

Investfeed and Santiment aren't really comparable. The first is a social network while the latter is focused on sentiment analysis (big data). Definitely not apples to apples.

The best comparison for IFT is Stocktwits. But even Twitter itself would be considered a competitor. I spend some time on Stocktwits but most of my time is spent on Twitter, even for crypto related stuff.

Stocktwits added over 100 crypto symbols to their platform in July. See here: https://blog.stocktwits.com/stocktwits-adds-streams-and-symbology-for-100-cryptocurrencies-and-tokens-a4069c1af358

I could maybe see the case for a niche social site fully dedicated to crypto. But Stocktwits has always positioned themselves as "Finance Twitter". So even then, it's a hard sell.

I'm still waiting for an answer to my above question: Will those looking to advertise on the InvestFeed platform be required to pay in IFT? If not, I really don't see the point in investing in the coin. If so, the coin at least has potential long-term value (assuming the network grows). But even then it's a hard sell considering the established competition.

Hi all, just signed up for InvestFeed and am kicking the tires. I haven't bought the coin yet.

I glossed over the white paper and read the section about what IFT (the coin) can be used for. However, it's not clear to me whether or not advertisers will be required to pay in IFT. If so, I dig it. If not, seems like a potentially great platform that won't actually reward the users.

Imagine having to pay for an ad-free Twitter or premium options with their own coin. Sure, some will use this, but most people simply won't bother. Now, if advertisers are required to pay in IFT, the value of IFT would grow as the network, and demand for advertising, grows.

So which is it? Links to clarity on this would be much appreciated. Thanks!
