Re: get money from fun things
by

In my opinion, online gambling is the best combination of entertainment with the opportunity to earn money. Some online casinos allow generating income in cryptocurrencies as well. Today online gaming is one of the most popular online entertainments, and only Youtube blogging excels it. I prefer online casino games because it’s really fun. There is a risk to lose money, but I read in on BitcoinChaser https://bitcoinchaser.com/casino/what-powers-online-casinos-features-of-casino-software/  that casino’s software is regulated in order to provide the probabilities for a win as well. Why not check how lucky you are. Just set your limitations to know when to stop.

Re: Coins for hold

As for me, the best coins for holdin are bitcoin and ethereum, which you excluded. So it took some time for me to make a kind of research and find what to suggest. Well, according to the info, which I’ve just found on the Internet (seriously, didn’t know what to suggest) Tether, NEO, BNB, and ICON might be ok for the purpose of holding.

I think that both coins are good. In fact, it also depends on your strategy, as different coins have different features. IMO the best way to decide which coin do you need more is to learn about both this currencies as much info as you can. And the answer will come by itself.

Re: What are you trading on?

Well, I haven't dealt with 1Broker yet. Mostly I trade on cex.io, as I appreciate their security level. Though their coins amount is not very wide, but currently it isn’t a problem for me. 'Cause my favorite coins are placed there and it's enough for me. As any platform, it has several cons, but in my opinion, pros are outweighing negative moments. However, it’s only my point of view, to find more objective opinion you can check reviews about trading platforms. For example, here - https://cryptohoo.com/cex-io-review/ you can find some more info about cex.

Re: I want to sell my cryptocurrency exchange like poloniex.

Hm, it seems strange. My browser (Mozilla Firefox) refuses to open the site, it says that the connection is insecure. Your site wasn’t hacked or smth like this? Is it trusted? I see this name for the first time, didn’t spot it on reviews or in ratings. Consider that I’m a crypto/blockchain advisor and I know a lot about exchanges. Let’s discuss the thing in private messages or in Skype, idk. I’m interested but not sure that I can trust you. Please, contact me as soon as possible. Will wait.

Re: Too long poloniex verification? Or scam?

It happens. As other commentators marked, Poloniex is a reputable exchange with pretty long history and solid reputation. I seriously doubt that they would try to fool customers only to get a few extra hundreds or thousands dollars. The problem may be with your account – big exchanges try to meet KYC/AML requirements because they don’t want to face problems with governments. Maybe, your activity was suspicious or something like this? Anyway, it’s better to contact Poloniex customer support once again (on Twitter or other social networks) and then simply wait a bit. I’m sure everything will be OK.

Re: Blockchain future

Blockchain is here and now, not in the future. Various startups rise with time, and it’s amazing, as I think. As for next trends, I can forecast that there will be even more blockchain-based companies which will look for investors and introduce new technologies. Already now crypto is highly hyped, as you can see from numerous news sites, reviews of marketplaces and projects. The only thing I’m worried about is dotcom likeliness. Blockchain is very similar to the Internet in terms of innovations.  And it’s possible that nearly all startups will disappear with only a few survived. But we should wait more to understand how this world will evolve. I hope for the best faith.

Oh, nice info, thank you guys. I hate scammers as they fool regular traders/investors and that’s awful. Frauds are everywhere, so we have to be careful when choosing exchanges, ICOs, or cloud mining services, etc. The only thing I can suggest is reading review of exchanges here https://www.theproblem.wtf/ or other trusted sites to understand which platforms are legit and which are not.  Also, it’s crucial to spot red flags like unreal people in the team, fake links to partners, large but uninformative documents and so on. Be safe and don’t trust frauds, please!

Re: Common Errors of Trading

FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) should be in this list, too. For newcomers, FOMO means that you chase a certain currency when it starts pumping. The thing is that all whales and professional traders are already in the game, so when newbies buy skyrocketing coin, 99% that it will start falling immediately. Don’t try to chase lost opportunities. Better, learn and predict further pumps. Also, as for greed, it really may be useful. As the silver rule: «Be afraid when other traders are greedy and be greedy when other are afraid». This works.

Re: Always keep fiat while holding
by

I have a wonderful strategy for this case. Say, you have 10 BTC (or any other amount of any other currency) and want to increase your fiat funds. Means, you aren’t fanatical crypto geek who doesn’t accept fiat money at all. Thus, you should look at market and check price changes. When prices go up for at least 40%, you should sell a half of your initial capital – 5 BTC. When prices go down, you should do the opposite thing and buy additional coins, half of your capital. When prices are stable, it’s enough to continue spectating. This system isn’t ideal but it balances all possible risks, so you will be in plus, mostly.

Re: Trading or mining?
by
cammor
on 21/09/2018, 10:35:06 UTC
I’d suggest learn to trade, honestly. Mining is difficult business because of a few things. Firstly, you will need a lot of starting money to buy equipment and set it. Then, you will face increased electricity bills. Also, devices could break down, so you will have to pay even more to fix everything. Finally, the price of cryptocurrencies now is too volatile to hope that you can get a regular income with mining only. On the other hand, trading lets you bet on various things including both growth and fall of price. There are tons of strategies for newcomers, so you only have to spend some time exploring them. In trading, you will also need some starting capital but it’s way smaller cuz you can buy first crypto for even $100. At all, try different approaches and stick to one or two which are the most suitable for you. Good luck!

Re: Crypto faster & cheaper?

Generally, crypto is really cheap and fast means of exchange. It’s obvious that bitcoin is not the fastest and the cheapest, and it has some issues to improve. But as bitcoin was the first, it represents real innovation decentralized system that can’t be compared to some insignificant features like different algorithms of sign generation, faster transactions, Turing completeness, or more anonymity that other altcoins offer. There are hundreds of altcoins, but none of them has come close enough to bitcoin in terms of price, usage, and reliability.

Yeah, I share your opinion. Some exchanges could even have strong relations with bank institutions. Like CEX (https://cex.io/).

Re: Day trade?
by

It depends on your style. Day trading, as well as middle-term and long-term trading patterns, is cool if you know how to do it. Now the market is volatile and going down but it’s nothing for day traders. Various altcoins may change price rapidly during the day, so it’s really possible to benefit from the day trading. Just think about the risks first because they are significantly higher during a short-term process. Be ready for losses and try to diversify your portfolio. Also, consider combining day trades with long-term ones.

Re: What attracts you to a good crypto exchange?

Security. This is the main thing I'm looking for that defines whether it's a good exchange. A good service should provide a 2FA, a fully encrypted data, a protection against DDoS attacks, etc.
