Just to let you guys know: The weekend challenge for 1000$ dollars in card packs is on right now.

The team changed the prize distribution in a way that lets more players win packs.
How much we can get by playing games
Last weekend 261 Players were given real money and free core packs, the week before only the top 100 players were prize winners.

Good luck to anyone who already joined or is about to join the beta. See you at the other end of the table!

It took me a while to find your comment in my quote Smiley. So 1000$ in card packs will be distributed to weekend challenge players. Top 1 should get around 100$ in legendary packs. Also for every win you get 100 raffle ticket for an upcoming raffle in october. First prize for the raffle is the 4th mythic card ( only 1 will ever exist of these) with a lot of more prizes for the other raffle participants. The first of those four mythic cards was already auctioned off for 150 ETH (around 62.000$ at the time). You can also choose to sell those raffle points right away on the open market. Going rate for 1000 points (10 wins) is around 12$ right now.
Hope that answers your question!

[FREE] Beta-Access to the Gods Unchained Beta (Trading Card Game on Ethereum)

Hey there fellow gamers!

Gods Unchained is a new competitive trading card game backed by Coinbase and led by the former Director of Magic the Gathering: Arena, Chris Clay.
The cards are real world tradable in an open economy on the ethereum blockchain, remember their stats and history, and you'll be able to play for keeps and earn valuable cards.

Gods Unchained is free to play and currently in beta but the team is looking to release the full game in october.
There's also a big tournament coming up that gains it's prize pool from 10% of all card pack sales. The current prizepool is $449,713.00 USD.

For now every weekend players compete for 1000$ of Packs distributed to the top 100 players. Those packs would otherwise only be attainable by buying them with ETH.

You need to be invited to get in, but if you're interested in trying it you're welcome to use my beta invite-key!

Should you have any questions regarding the game - shoot me a message I'm really glad to help new players.

Have fun and good luck!

Re: Monero will probably be the next +10x coin

I am very positive that monero will have a very bright future. This opinion is based on monero's technical fundamentals, a world in need of anonymized crypto and a very dedicated dev team + community. So 10x+ gains are more than likely in my opinion too.

Your 'technical analysis' though... pretty much has no sound reasoning behind it at all. You posted a picture, wrote down three maybes, made a conclusion and gave the advice of a 'safe time to get in'.

Monero had a huge increase in price in a very short time. The graph is looking more and more parabolic. Indicators (especially on 1w/3d) show that there is a good chance monero's price will take a bigger dip in the short term, to refuel before MAYBE continuing upwards. Usually it's a good time to be cautious when everybody is talking about moon rockets or 5x/10x/100x increases.

I'm not saying you are wrong or that I am right. I'd merely advice potential investors to read up on their investments and never base their decisions on posts like yours.

I do not know what to think about it. Yes, bitcoin has a lot of volatility but it looks it has over years have had the volatility more downwards than upwards.
Bitcoin is illiquid at these prices so probably it means it will dive again. I hope the bitcoiners start to realize the probability to reach 1000 usd/btc any time soon (if ever) has declined radically. The block size issue will not help, especially if the community will be divided into two camps by the fork. Increasing Monero holdings/starting to convert bitcoins into Monero is becoming more and more vital these days before anything bigger happens which cannot be fixed anymore.

Maybe this is what monero needs even more than bitcoin doing just fine and reaching new highs. Even though I don't like what's happening to Bitcoin at the moment, maybe this is the incentive people needed to look more into bitcoin alternatives. This could help with increasing monero's popularity in general.

Pretty sure the cats still in the bag on this one.

We really need a solid real USD market before the years out. I'm sure not just talking about releasing a website .. It takes months to establish liquidity and eliminate security bugs.

The cryptocurrency cats are out of the bag, people just need incentives to pick the right one.
You are right, we need a direct EUR/USD -> XMR market. How will we be able to grow above / challenge bitcoin, if bitcoin is the vehicle we use to buy our moneroj?

From poloniex, thought it would interest some of you here:

Ethereum ETH is now available for margin trading. http://ow.ly/QJOHG

Regarding speculation: I am wondering if the dump guy is done now (could be several guys, but his blatant market dumping makes him unique I think). I still have a hard time comprehending why one would dump with +5% slippage, whereas he could've set up some asks and patiently wait until they got bought.

This is what a rational actor would do. I think miners with that kind of hashpower should know better, because a large factor of their mining operation is maximizing profits. I'm more and more convinced the Ether fomo messes with peoples brains and led to dumps like this.

If that is the case:
While we are seeing this behavior in only one direction right now XMR -> Eth, I am curious to see what happens if those people try to rebuy their position.Wether it is desirable to have those shaky hands in monero, is a question of how much they learned from this experience.

Exactly.

BTW, someone set a fear wall of almost 14 k XMR.
Should it be tested if it is for real?  Wink

EDIT: While writing, it was removed.
And eventually market sold

Some buy orders are good for moments like these (transfered some btc to Polo).

You are right on that one.

I can't believe those impatient dumps. Do these people even look at the orderbook before doing stuff like this? How nicely the bidside refilled, how steady the rise was? Good luck on getting those 14k monero back! If you're a miner, thanks for distributing coins! Oh, and thanks for bringing the 24h volume back to over 300 BTC.

I am wondering what changed your view?

TBH, all the fanbois BS.

Why not put the speculation thread on ignore then and stick with the ANN thread?

Because these kinds of threads provide an essential insight into the XMR community.

Besides your point about "wether price goes up or down, people in this thread talk posiitively about monero"

What exactly do you mean with "fanboi BS"?

I am not taunting you or whatever trolls do on the internet. I am honestly interested in your view, because critics are as important as supporters to this community in my opinion.

In your dreams bubba ~LOL~

Nice clean break down thru .0025 …

I still think the downward action today was mostly driven by the Ether fomo.

Judging by the comments in this topic XMR is a coin that is good when it is going up, good when it is going down and good the rest of the time !

~LOL~

Maybe it's because the price is only a very very small factor when you want to define wether a coin is good or bad?

Edit: you got me there by a few seconds mr. debruyne Smiley

I remain bearish on bitcoin as the dollar strengthens against the CNY, AUD, YEN, KRW, and others. I believe gold, bitcoin, oil, etc. are going to have a terrible time as people try to find refuge in American stocks, bonds, and dollars.

XMR may stabilize at .003 or higher but if bitcoin goes to $200, that's of little use.  .003 * 200 is .6 USD
I'm going to hang out in fiat for now. But I'll surely be back in cryptocurrency before next summer. I want to see goldbugs capitulating, more oil companies going bankrupt, bitcoin volume dropping, and maybe some bitcoin startups going under.

Between your lines I am reading you still believe in crypto in the longrun.
I'd rather have a good chunk of Monero that appreciates against BTC then, should BTC drop further down.

Almost everything is dumping because of the ETH pump happening right now.

This is no dump with the technicals behind it, this is pure greed in action. These are the times you hold open your bag, sit back and thank the panic sellers later.

Once people cash out their ETH profits ( I don't see much room upwards before the price gets hammerd down again), the profit will be redistributed to the coins money was taken out of.

Even if the whole ETH thing stole a bit of Monero's steam, it brought huge amounts of traffic and BTC to Poloniex.
This is what needed to happen for monero to break key resistance levels on the upside.

At the moment it looks like we had a beautiful 50% fibonacci retracement could start to higher highs from here.

This latest dump was the result of a margin hunter. Someone sold about 1000 XMR under 235 and immediately a trigger order of 11000 dumped to market, this was the result of a long position getting stopped out or liquidated

nothing to worry about here hodlers!

Could also be a stoploss being hit. Anyway, trading on margin is very risky in such a volatile market as XMR.

Yeah that's what I mean, someone went stop hunting just below 00235. I'm fairly confident that the wick to 0026 was the bottom of this dump

smart move to fill the own pockets with cheap xmr!

Now take this as an example.. how easy do you think it will be to recoup those 11k XMR below 0.00235? Near damn impossible in my opinion.

Selling now is like selling at 140k after it had hit 170k from the bottom at 100k (about Feb24).

We all know what happened to those who wanted to buy back lower. They are not here telling their story. That's why it seems that shorters are making money.

Dead shorts don't talk.  Lips sealed

While this statement was made at around the same price we have now, I think it is even more true today than it was the day you posted it.

The Stoch RSI on the 1h / 2h / 4h / 6h / 12h time frames seems to indicate, that we are currently establishing a short term bottom around these levels.
The lack of refilling asks and the sporadic wigs up to 0.00255 - 0.0026 seem to show us there is accumulation happening at this level.

Regardless of 0.00235 holding or not, dumping around here (0.0025 - 0.00235) in hope of someone dumping on your bids a few satoshis deeper doesn't look like a wise decision to me.
When people in this thread post targets like "It could hit 0.0022", where do you think their bids are at? Certainly higher than the suggestion they give you here.
