it doesn't really matter who fontas is. he has got influence until people credits him influence. he probably found himself in a good situation by chance and had the opportunity to increase his liquidity when the bubble started, and now he has got enough bitcoins that he can pump and dump other currencies at will and all alone. this credited him as a legend over the trollbox, and when he talks people listen. he happened by chance to be the king of trolls and he's playing it well, nothing more

Can someone explain this "64x2" "S27x3,28x4" thing to me or point me in the right direction on reading up on it??

I have a 580gtx and i'm trying to figure out the best set up

well i did not figure out the meaning, but if you run it and let it autotune, it will choose automatically what's the best one (then you can add the flag in the batch file, like -l 112x2 for me)

new uptade working greatly even on mid-end mobile devices, jumping from 20Kh/s to 26Kh/s on my gt 540m
autotune won't start though, and --no-autotune sets it to 16x2 (which i don't understand what it means)

now i'm wondering how far optimization will bring us Smiley

thank you for this piece of software!
with my shitty gt 540m i reached 16kh/s with cgminer, but actually it didn't send a lot of shares
with cudaminer it gets to 20kh/s on --no-autotune
here's a screenshot
it states that it started with launch config 8x4
would i get better performances leaving the autotune on? i'm not expecting anything with a card like this, but i tried and it was taking forever so i stopped it and forced --no-autotune

as mentioned above, solo mining won't give you any message during the mining, and at that speed a pool is really recommended, but don't expect to see more than a 0.1LTC per day

i personally mine with an i7 laptop with nvidia gpu and decided to go for scrypt (LTC)
litecoins are starting to have some uses and support, and i personally think they're the best alternative right now (and i think that alternatives MUST start with different algorithms, this is why i really look forward to MC2/whatever-they'll-call-them)
