Re: Largest crypto exchange CEO arrested! Anyone getting deja vu?
by

So as you all know they charged CZ and he stepped down. Most likely he will get arrested as he goes on US soil.

What I find strange about all this, is that it’s all familiar. Anyone know what I am taking about?

Remember Bitmex and it’s CEO Arthur Hayes who was arrested. What happened right after? One of the biggest bull runs in Bitcoins history.

History doesn’t repeat itself but it often rhymes.

Well, i've heard some good point considering that in fact this happened to prepare the world for the institutions on BTC.

Until they (Blackrock, JP, Fidelity) clean all the exchanges and risks of FUD, they are not going to put money on that and convince their customers to put their savings on it, so they have to make this business more formal and controllable. For me it seems a good point, and reasonable.

Derivation Path on electrum
by
canudinho
on 03/11/2023, 18:42:44 UTC
Being brief:

-> Let's say that I've generated my normal account electrum wallet without paying attention on the derivation path (i dunno). If i do lost the access to this wallet, and I put the seeds on other machine to recover my wallet and the funds are 0, this might be because I haven't inserted the derivation path... so I should put m/0'/n' on it (considering it is a standard wallet) and then my problem is solved? If not, what should I do? What are the concerns about it?

Thank you Srs, best regards

Hello everyone

Gonna be fast...

I'm trying to download the Blockchain (by btc core) on an external HD, using my laptop (256 ssd, 8gb RAM). My internet connection is around 300mbps, and it is doing great, but the same way it keeps downloading 0,03% per hour... What can I do for optimizing this process ?? Just gotta download this and it won't work this by this speed.

Best regards

Though I didn't get much into detail about how to get your Bitcointalk UID since it has been discussed many times before on how to get your profile link and I am sure that many will see what's their UID but there's an existing thread for this already. You could also just get the UID by simply clicking on "Profile" and also click "Summary" then you'll see your UID in the URL in your browser which is next to profile;u= then the UID.

Previous thread of same notifier:

Alright guys, I think I've understood, could you please confirm:

I hope I understood your question. It depends on what Electrum wallet uses to create seed phrase. In the past it supported BIP32 but after version 2.0, it changes to Electrum Seed Version System.
Electrum wallet seed phrase

BTCBTCBTCBTC

Hello everyone,
Hope everything is fine by your side

Please some help:

-> After having some hardware wallets, I decided not trusting on the person behind it, once Trezor or Ledger (uh, this one especially) have been commenting sh#t about the privacy, thus the risks involving a 3rd party on the safety of my coins;

-> I've reached Tails & Electrum SETUP, studied about it, implemented, tested, liked;

-> I would like to know why especifically this setup is not reliable, as I've seen some posts about it, cause for me is a great one... but i will appreciate your comments on the problems of it Smiley

-> There is also 1 especial point that I am confuse yet: Some people say they faced problems trying to recover the coins from a really old electrum wallet... why is that? what do I have to do for not having this problem in 10 years from now?

Best regards
