Mainly due to the expectation that XRP will be the next coin added to Coinbase.

Re: I write whitepapers

You are absolutely crazy. I write high quality papers for a much more reasonable rate. Maybe that's why I have 10-15 papers written and you "supposedly" have two.

Wow, you've lost count of your whitepapers Smiley I can't put out that many whitepapers in a year. My process is slow and deliberate, and I deeply care about my work. Academic research is not a commodity mate, and if priced as such, surely is not research.

I agree that the price is high from an on-looker's perspective. Keep in mind that to write a quality whitepaper, it takes about 4 - 6 weeks of intense research, consultations with developer(s) and domain experts, and a review by a technical expert. The price is right for this kind of work. However, I can see that trust becomes an issue (potential idea here). Problem is, I am not an agency, and I am working freelance. In today's crypto/ ICO world, I simply cannot share prior work. However, I can privately share my prior work with clients who I've agreed to work with in the future. I can offer an initial 'Whitepaper Outline' for 0.5 BTC, which would give an overview of what's possible, and how it would be accomplished.

Thanks for your reply. I am not able to share the past work due to NDAs in place to protect prior clients. I am sure you can understand the reasons behind this privacy. As far as the price goes, that's my standard fee. If you have a project in mind, shoot me a PM with your budget. Depending on my availability and how curious your idea might be, I'll say yay or nay. Easy.

I write whitepapers
by
capex98
on 07/11/2017, 01:47:21 UTC
I have two (quite successful) whitepapers under my belt. I can write your next whitepaper.

Writing a whitepaper for a Blockchain or cryptocurrency project needs expertise, not only in the fundamentals of how things work, but also what's happening in the space right now. There are so many innovations happening by the week in this space, that your idea might be overrun by the weekend, and I am not even joking.

If you have an idea, I can write a whitepaper for you. I enjoy researching the space, and I don't need any attribution. I will give you full formatted academic style paper written in Latex, along with the source code. I'll also give you a bit of guidance on whether or not your idea is good for prime time, or if you need to modify it to work.

For a full length technical whitepaper with diagrams, typesetting and review, I charge 2.5 BTC. I can also do a quicker 'Position Paper' if you want to test the waters for quality and originality.

Re: What do you prefer? BTC or ETH?
by
capex98

Bitcoin is a store of value, with a fixed mechanism. The concept of blockchain was invented for Bitcoin. Yes, many people found other uses of the blockchain tech, but its original purpose was to run the Bitcoin network.

Ethereum on the other hand is a programmable blockchain. The pitfalls of a programmable blockchain are so humungous, that its almost certain that the system will be hacked at some point in the future. A hack will not kill Eth, but it would make some serious dents.

I am not claiming that Bitcoin is un-hackable. But the chances of Bitcoin getting hacked are miniscule vs Eth. Wearing the investor's hat, I'd put my money in Bitcoin.

Re: Is it possible for the bitcoin to lose it's value ?
by
capex98
on 08/10/2017, 08:03:01 UTC
Throughout history, people have been hard at finding something that holds value on its own. Think gold. Now consider diamonds, for which DeBeers created artificial scarcity and endless marketing to make it worth something. Once the perception of something valuable sets in, there is no way you could displace it. Yes, Bitcoin will slowly replace gold as the primary store of independent value, but that doesn't mean gold will become worthless. It would just become a secondary store of value to Bitcoin.

Bitcoin has passed through the initial stages of doubt and uncertainty. As of now in 2017, there is an entire industry being spawned on top of this technology. There is no way in hell something like this would lose its entire value. Yes, its a highly volatile asset, but every time it bounces back. Bitcoin is here to stay with us for the foreseeable future.

I think time is not far when 1 Satoshi will be equal to 1 cent. People will be talking about buying Satoshis, and BTC will be treated as something only millionaires own.
