That's the catch here.  You might be able to do this with something like Unity, but given it's an indie title, you'd probably want to take advantage of more procedurally generated content (possibly even to the point of using hashes as a source)  Lots of possibilities, but it would definitely be an undertaking.  It seems to be on that knife edge between modifying an existing engine and creating a purpose built engine.

It makes sense to switch to Litecoins when GPU mining and sell LTC for BTC

Or PowerCoin - it's still relatively new and mining should be easy; if the value goes up, you can exchange it for Bitcoins.

Looks interesting.  Higher ultimate coin count and new enough to be ASIC resistant.  If it catches on, it could be really good, but it's got some tough competition in litecoin.

I started out on NVidia but quickly moved to AMD.  I would also suggest moving to AMD.  Check out e-bay as even an HD 58XX card will crank out more calculations.  Also start looking to ASICs as given the current jumps in difficulty, we're in for a wild ride as these boxes come online.  The good news is that you can repurpose your GPU miners to something like Litecoin.  No ASIC miners there (yet)

It's certainly an interesting idea.  I could definitely see an MMO using this concept, kind of like a next generation Second Life leveraging crypto currency instead of virtual currency.

I bet you could take advantage of a pool using the data from shares to generate terrain and content using procedural generation.  Might just be the next big thing in free games (I.E. the game is free, and the subscription is paid through game client mining on a pool)  Certainly no small effort involved in making such a thing, but it's not impossible.

Chances are that you do not have the CUDA miner executable or that GUIMiner is pointing to the wrong location.  Open up explorer and check the path that is set in Ext. Path (In GUI Miner) to verify that the executable is there.

An easier means to an end is to use something like CG Miner or OpenCL Miner.  Both should be available out of the box in GUIMiner.

If you get going and you like how it works though, I'd suggest getting more powerful mining hardware.

I agree.  LTC seems to be the way to go for GPU mining.  The currency is still very much in it's infancy and has a lot of potential to evolve.  I plan to rebuild my GPU miner and sick it on LTC very soon.  Just waiting on parts.
