This coin is certainly not dead. Tradeogre is doing ok. The network needs more nodes and probably some more miners.
Anyone having trouble syncing a node let me know. I can up a blockchain as well as index and DB. very big stuff, but if thats what we gotta do.
Keep in mind, Bitcoal is trading at a lot more than the original Bytecoin, and its still kikin.

coal wallet not finding any seedpeers.  i sync blockchains every month or so. i have many wallets. but have never had issue with coal. it is trading well thought i would pull some out of storage but cannot sync. any help would be appreciated. Active seedper perhaps.

TradeOgre wallets back online. Network ~325Khs. See if it lasts.

Has the difficulty gone so high that no blocks can be found. if no blocks, no transfers. No bitcoal. Can this be fixed or was it built in? Devs?

Trade Ogre communicates by Twitter and twitter messaging. They have always responded to me. I questioned them about not syncing they replied that the network seems to be shrinking. I am guilty of not pointing my miners to coal in a while. Difficulty is certainly a lot higher, than when i first started, at the announce of coal. Trade Ogre is a functioning trading platform , and the only place coal is listed that i am aware of. Perhaps we should show them respect and an honest interest in them opening the wallets again, because without them there are no trading alternatives.

I just left a note to TradeOgre. its a little exchange, but adding coins. Try to get them to utilize the original blockchain wallet, since Cryptopia dumped on DSH.  They can be messaged on twitter.

I added SYNC_FROM_ZERO=1 deleted blockchain and did resync then loaded wallet and did reset. no joy balance still zero as if new wallet. Are there 2 blockchains where has my transactions gone. Used the bitcoal.conf from git repos. the conf the gentleman offered in a recent post contains more seed peers but is essentially the same.

curious about the wrong blockchain statement. has there been a fork that I am unaware of or is the BC for coal original from block zed.

I started from scratch fresh install on Linux box to try to recover. Imported private keys generated same address. but no glory. fresh install from git repositories. No transactions whatsoever manymany 1000 at a time to cryptopia. baffled.

I updated when needed. I mined 200,000 bitcoal when nobody else was mining it hundreds of consecutive blocks. I had wallet issues and updated some coal disappeared. I accepted as a hiccup. I moved 50,000 coal to trade and have not opened wallet for a few weeks. now password did not work so I imported with private keys, been done before. The wallet address is identical to the one my miner pointed to. balance zero. list_transfers zero.  I am not feeling the love with forknote anymore. also reset does nothing.

After extensive check I cannot explain a loss of ~50,000 bitcoal.  Was blockchain modified?  My Wallet file was corrupted. I checked from various backups, and then resynced from keys from 0. I am mining again and no problems for a week now.
Latest update of forknoted and simplewallet. as above

Any news on Cryptopia wallets.  Would like to sell some.  Are there any other exchanges? The value has exceeded many other long term coins on other exchanges.
