Marcelos, I am trying to retrieve an account but your page coded in PHP doesn't seem to want to show up, regardless of the browser. I have filed a ticket under a new account I have created temporarily, and eagerly await your response! I believe I remember not being able to toggle my account to auto-invest or auto-purchase, whichever it was called soon after the website was 'hacked' and that is a big bummer for me as I have been losing out daily on many a hash being purchased. Hopefully you read this / the ticket and help resolve this problem ASAP. The account name is "TheShredder".

Give it up, there are many users here complaining that they cannot get any joy in retrieving their accounts. Marcelo has not helped one of them and thanks you for your donation to his scam.

Luckily I only invested a few dollars worth of BTC and had it on autoinvest for 2 or 3 months... Got all the way up to a whopping 10,000 Kh/s!

I have had horrible luck, but I can't blame anyone but myself. First spending about $300 over at ZeusHash.com, then wasting my time focusing on scrypt.cc

So what is the go-to company right now in cloud mining?
Hi DigitalDayTraders
I also invested in Zeushash.com. Only 1BTC, it's been growing OK I guess. What happened to your investment?
I lost BADLY when the thieves at cloudminr.io stole our bitcoins. BADLY.
And I trust that the results at scrypt.cc will get back to normal. With autoinvest my investment is over 600000 KH/s now! :-)

I am also looking for something solid. Maybe Genesis? But they are expensive... and I am hesitant to invest. Too many bad ass thieves out there.

Regards

Today is three weeks since the cloudminr owners advised that the servers will be rebuilt. That was also their last communication to us before they deleted all their tweets and evidence everywhere. As the domain is still in suspended state and still no communication from any of them, I will now move on from there and wish them all the best for the future: karma, pain, hell, suffering comes to mind.

My hopes are lost....oh well. I'll find another way to recover my BTC  Sad
Mine too, I feel your pain.

I doubt that these scammers will feel anything. They are just enjoying our money now Wink
And do you know what would they do ? They will make another ponzi site. Too easy money. Except something like this would happen to them:
http://www.coindesk.com/police-arrest-20-in-digital-currency-pyramid-scheme/

Well it's not easy to get away or stay complete anon since they have build a website like that, the important thing is how many people will file a complain ?

Appreciate your reply. I am so pissed off with people like this I just want them to feel the same. Useless morons.

I had registered an account with cloudminr.io with a thow-away-e-mail, so I was able to log in and see if there is anything useful for getting information. However, I never invested a dime since I was convinced from the very beginning that it is a scam.

However, now the story becomes interesting.

I used a throw-away-email.
I used a fake name.
I used a fake address.

Now I received an e-mail from Bitfinex saying that my account has been opened.

Good. I never applied for an account. So it seems that cloudminr has opened it. Or someone who bought their information.

Bitfinex: How is it possibl that you opened an account for a fully fictious person? On your homepage you write:

So there was no KYC nor any AML-process needed to open an account?

This stinks. And I'd like to get some answers from Bitfinex...

@RealMalatesta

I queried Bitfinex.com and got the following reply from them:

"Hello Casper

It seems someone acquired a large list of email addresses from some external source and is using that list to programatically register accounts at Bitfinex.com.

We have stopped this person to generate any additional accounts, unfortunately only after he used your email address to create a unauthorised account.

We will delete the account associated to your email address as soon as possible and we hope you accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused.

We hope this response has sufficiently answered your questions. If you don't have any additional questions or comments regarding ticket #822338, the ticket will automatically be closed. If you do need further assistance feel free to reply to this email.

We wish you a pleasant day.

While you're all staring at Brazil, believing it to be the location of this operation and desperately hoping for the chance to get your 'profit' out of the scam before it finally drops out of sight, a word to the unwise, there are bigger and better Ponzis out there waiting for you.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the Polish-registered slick-looking-but-still-ponzi recyclix.com https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1128611.0

So it seems like that it is one more cloud mining website you should never trust, no of them is legit.

At this point it seems "investing" in any cloudmining operation is a sure way to lose your money Wink

Ok, so we got scammed. What to do now? Any ideas?

make sure you learned your lesson and never invest in a ponzi again. at least learn to do some researching before you join a scheme

I think we must wait 2-3 weeks before tell that we are scammed. The probability to be scammed is big but yet there is hope. Otherwise why cloudminr has made "the declaration" two-three days ago? He/they can get the btc and go in silence.
I am with you on this one. I trust that they will post an update sooner than later.

This is difficult as most schemes look legit at first. It is only later that their true colors are shown. But I agree that more research about a scheme should be done. And if you have doubts, do not invest and move on.
