The price of Bitcoin is hitting new highs regularly now...  and yet it is expected to continue rising.  At what price would you stop buying?

Re: Do You Waste Your Life On The Internet?

Great question... makes us question what we are doing online and how productive it really is!!

I would say that I am not 'wasting my life on the internet', but sometimes, I do waste a bit more time than I perhaps should... like answering this thread!  It's fun, but not adding much value to my existence!!

I believe in a greater power source which I call 'God', but not in the form or manifestations generally spouted about in religious stories.

As Bitcoin becomes more mainstream, I envisage affiliate marketing opportunities will become more plentyful and mainstream too... I hope so anyway!

Re: The future of the paper money

Interesting... this thread was started in 2015, 2 years ago.... are we any closer to paper money going out of circulation?  I think not!  People still buy physical books, some prefer hard copies.  There is something about actually touching and holding physical things compared to everything being digital/virtual... we are physical beings after all!  I think there is room for both virtual and paper money in the future....

How distressing!  Sorry to hear this.  If I were you, I'd create a new wallet and clear out my PC, checking it for viruses, etc.

Thanks for sharing and reminding us of one of the challenges and risks in the cryptoworld.

I find it absolutely insane what  humans will do to other humans in the name of religion, any religion.
We are truly the worst species of life this planet will ever see.

Ditto!

Geocentrism - Is Earth at the centre of the Universe??
by
cazza

When I was a kid playing with my dolls, I recall thinking "perhaps we are just dolls for some other huge, more powerful beings"...

Is Earth at the centre of the Universe?  And, if so, what does that mean about our world...?

There is enough discussion about links with Autism & vaccines, etc for us not to be blind to the possibility.  Remember statistics can be skewed to present whatever findings you are looking for to support your argument or not.  Who knows the true answer...?  I don't think we will get the full facts as the pharma's have too much invested in it!!

I like the 50% rule or take out profits and keep the seed money to 'play' with.

Re: Should I sell my BTC or buy more?
by

on 09/05/2017, 17:00:02 UTC
Always buy more, if you are not sure now split it up to more timepoints in the future. Could be daily or twice a day.
maybe you buy them at a better price when the exchange rate falls and when it rise your previously bought btc will make it some what up.

This is what I was thinking of doing...  buy a little bit by bit and catch the upside as well as even out on the downside, but get the benefit of the upward trend

Re: What Is Bitcoin Trading and Why It's risky?
by
cazza
on 09/05/2017, 15:33:23 UTC
Bitcoin is like any other investment.  It has a risk profile of price fluctuations.  Bitcoin not being tied to any government or specific economic zone is therefore more risky as it is not backed by any intrinsic value and it's price can fluctuate wildly and very quickly.  Never invest funds you cannot afford to lose as there are no guarantees that the price will go up or even stay the same and you could lose much of your investment.

Re: Bitcoin UP = Altcoin DOWN
by

Also it seems that to purchase or sell altcoins, you need to trade with bitcoin, so the trade is always the equal and opposite...  funds flow will follow market sentiment between these differing investments

Re: It's freaking 2017 - Do you own 1 BTC?
by
cazza
on 09/05/2017, 12:19:03 UTC
Even if it takes time to earn that amount its worth to spend time and make efforts in collecting them in best possible  ways as in future the price of bitcoins will be very much high so its good to have maximum amount of bitcoins in our wallet.

At this rates ( a.k.a. ___/  ) it is getting crazy to buy/earn 1BTC...

But what if we get $3K by end of year as some predict ...Is it expensive to buy now...

That is the biggest question... timing is everything!!  It's less of a risk than a few years ago, but still risky... depends on each individuals appetite for risk/reward and what they can afford to lose.

Good thread!  The benefit of hindsight, eh?!

I wish I had taken the decision to invest in Bitcoin when I first heard about it some years ago, instead of spending the money that could have been worth soooo much more now!

Re: World War 3

A world with no nukes will be better, but who knows who will pull the trigger fisrt, i believe north Korea or russia will fire first against USA and his allies.

I'd agree with this...  I believe any leader who has the power and access to use nukes would not say they would not use them, otherwise, why have them in the first place.  For most rational leaders/countries, nukes are a supposed deterent.  They are not built to be used, but for the threat of the potential to use them if needed.  The UK falls into this category.  I would hope that no ruler will be foolish enough to pull the trigger again, as retaliation is the only response and then we are all f$&k!d

... it seems this is all a game of 'consequences'... but at a huge cost to us all

Re: The Meaning of life...?
by
cazza
on 09/05/2017, 09:43:09 UTC
Ask most people about what they want for their children and it is 'to be happy'... is our sole purpose in this world to be happy?  I think happiness is so important as with happiness, we are more open, productive, warm, friendly, inquisitive, creative, etc, etc and as such can do so much more with our lives to help make the world a better place in general...

And, what do you make of the earth being the centre of the universe and the rest of the universe revolving around us?  What does that mean about the meaning of our life??!

To buy altcoins and to hold for growth...

Good to see many looking to accept Bitcoin in their business too!
