Re: [AUCTION] THE LAST ONES! x3 Satoshi White Paper Art Prints, #1, #38, & #50

we may see an influx of new users here lol.  I just submitted this auction to our entire list of newsletter subscribers, and I know several people were interested in these pieces after the sell out.  Shocked

Good luck to all.  This has been such a fun piece to release and I look forward to making some more technically-detailed prints in the future.  Smiley

Ya, I’m pretty stoked to have been able to actually get one. Can’t wait to get it, most of my friends are completely IT illiterate, and this should generate some pretty good conversation.

Re: Bitcoin Gold (BTG)

Looks like this window of opportunity on Bittrex closed.

Why are there still no desktop wallets for Bitcoin Gold?

How come it's closed?

The price sunk from $600 to $270 on Bittrex. For a while there was an arbitrage opportunity between exchanges because the price was below $200 there.

Ahh, I see. Still seems like a pretty good time to dump a coin that is likely going nowhere, right? Quick question, are there any places I can sell the BTG that don't require verification to withdraw?

Apple and privacy?

Wonder if these folks will be using Apple Pay any time soon; Ali Michael, Ariana Grande, Bar Rafaeli, Becca Tobin, Brie Larson, Hope Solo, Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Brown Findlay, Kate Upton, Kirsten Dunst, Krysten Ritter, Lea Michele, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Mckayla Maroney, Melissa Benoist, Olivia Munn, Selena Gomez, Teresa Palmer, Victoria Justice, Yvonne Strahovski, and so on, and so forth.

I, for one have quite enjoyed their version of privacy over the past few weeks. Probably wouldn't trust them with my money though.  Cheesy

I'm sorry little asshole troll, if your above reply was directed at me it is my pleasure to inform you that I have you on ignore  Smiley
He calls me a troll, despite me being right several times and holders being wrong starting from beginning of 2014. So deluded. And mandatory smilies to enforce his positive beliefs, what a sheeple, off to the slaughter house!

You are the perfect definition of an Internet troll. You've got no vested interest in being here, you've simply got nothing better to do. Kinda sad really.
Sad that I predicted perfect falls and saved people money?

Yep, because that's what happened.

Most people will never own 1 BTC, think about it.

Only in the sense that most people might never own any bitcoins.

$500 isn't a lot of money.

Where I live it will buy you a meal in a decent restaurant or a pair of tickets to a hockey game.

Hopefully the food is better than the hockey team.  Shocked

Re: Winklevoss Bitcoin Trust (COIN ETF) to Launch in 2014
by
cdooer
on 15/09/2014, 14:39:09 UTC
For every 5 shares of the COIN ETF the winklevoss brothers will hold 1 bitcoin. If there is demand over the amount of coins they already have, the will then buy 1 bitcoin from the market for every new 5 share purchases so if it takes off it can create some serious demand for bitcoins.

Thx for the extremely simple explanation, I had no idea that's how it was going to work. I feel like I've learned something today...that's it, time to go home, even though I just got to work.  Cheesy

How are there people out of highshool who don't understand what an etf is? Cheesy

That's a good question...but who says I'm out of high school? OK, I'm outta high school...but traditional investments have never been my thing...or anything with numbers really.

You mean the guy who always posts "This user is currently ignored"? Not sure how he's affecting the price, he just keeps repeating the same thing over and over again.

I am not Falllling. I'm neither bear nor bull but I agree with his analysis right now.

Sorry dude..."the fact is bitcoin can only go down" is not an analysis. Regardless of how many times you post it.

The difference is that falllling produces a good analysis with sense and he doesn't just troll.

Huh? That's even dumber than the title of this post.

Get out now and don't be the bag holder of silly magic internet money! It's not real!!!

You will look like a fool to your grand children when you grow old, whitout any money to support them!

Let me guess... you're still holding?

Yep, its got a ways to go before I decide to jump ship. Besides, given my inability to figure what the hell is going to happen, the minute I sell someone will announce an ETF is approved, or Amazon is accepting it, and it will go through the roof. I committed a pretty small amount of fiat that I'm willing to lose.

rpietila's latest gem:

The public is being mind-fucked to BTC pregnancy and we're waiting on the next cohort to give birth so that we can "super-move" north of $10k.

You've got to admit that Risto is a clever guy. He uses his own picture of himself in a suit and tie for his avatar, and utilizes various professional looking mathematical charts to sell people on the idea of bitcoin going super exponential in the near future. He then posts frequently about his castle and bourgeoisie lifestyle of fine wine and cigars to convince people that they too can be ultra rich if they just follow his lead. Occasionally he is right about small, short term movements, but when he's wrong they get quietly erased or swept under the rug.

Sounds to me that some people here bought at the top, and are pretty eager to blame somebody. Risto hasn't been the only one saying the price of BTC is going through the roof. The Winklvii said ~$50k...hell, even the BoA said the fair value was $1300. Don't blame others because you're a moron and can't make your own decisions. This is the speculation thread, right?
