I wouldn't recommend this service to anyone, they were certainly selective scammers

Read the past few pages if anyone is still on the fence

are you sure you didn't go to the phishing website?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but neither party in the edit war was putting that onion URI I think?
I guess maybe they could both be scammers :/

You're not wrong. It looks like they are both scammers.

The page currently links to bitcoinfog.org, also a fake site it seems...

From what I can tell, the announcement link which links to the bitcointalk thread hasn't been changed yet.

http://www.bitcoinfog.com/

in my browser history at the time I made the transfer, I believe their site is/was compromised through one way or another

I've also been phished I believe, via the "official website" as nothing else makes any sense whatsoever.

I made a deposit which didn't arrive.  I checked the deposit address and this is different to the one on my account and the one I previously used.

My issue is that I know the time/date when I made the deposit and I found the address on the website.  I've checked my browser history and I visited http://www.bitcoinfog.com/ at that time and I remember I copied the address for bitcoin fog from here, I then used the address from my account to send the btc.

If I have indeed been phished it is entirely due to the address provided on their website as nothing else makes sense.

A few others seem to have echoed the same as what I've said here...

Hello all,

I have been using bitcoins for a few months, however I am far from an expert and hoping to get some advice.  I sent some coins to bitfog (my second time) and I have yet to receive them.  I have gone back to checked the transaction and it has 194 confirmations from approx 36 hours ago and still nothing.

I'm certain I copied my Bitfog deposit address (as I specifically recall doing this it), yet when I view the transaction the main output address seems to be different to the one on my account/used previously, is this normal?

I bookmarked these sites so I do not believe I am a victim of phishing.  Any help much appreciated.

Few questions...

What is BitFrog?
If you have the transaction id, why cant you check that with the deposit address on "BitFrog"?

Thanks for the reply, I meant Bit(coin) Fog.

I have checked the deposit address and this is different to the one on my account and the one I previously used.

Is this looking like a lost cause? It was 36 hours since sent.
