Launching a FairQuark dice website sor you can waste your FRQ and spam the blockchain

Woke up to find I've not been mining the last 4 hours!
All pools seem to be down! Anyone found one which is working? I'm not sure how to local mine.

isn't this frozen coin but with more coins, god this is getting so stupid
Its a ridiculously lazy copy and paste imitation of QRK.Seems to me 0981 is the optimal run number, any higher there is issues. Any lower and I'm just doing myself a disservice. They are quite picky about being crowded on cheaper powered hubs. Though right now for me it's an illusion to be running at 2ghs each and I don't understand. Maybe just how I read bfgminer.

I guess I really don't understand the numbers in the middle column. First 2 show about 2ghs then the 3rd shows what I guess is the average. But it's the 3rd one that the pools see. I should be at 10gh/s but it's more like 7.5gh/s in reality.

How long have you left them running? It can take hours for it to even out on mine...
I managed to find the following explanation of the three columns on google, which helped me understand things a bit better (still getting my head around it all though!);
"5 second exponentially decaying average hash rate / An all time average hash rate / An all time average hash rate based on actual nonces found, adjusted for pool reject and stale rate"
To the moon would be nice, but right now I'm just happy that it's pulled itself out of the gutter! Anybody who picked it up at the crazy lows recently should be able to almost double their investment! Wish I'd gone with my gut and bought a load more...

I was using v3 of nwools' bfgminer build, but have just switched over to v3.10.0 of the official build which seems to be working equally well (get it here)
Before using it you need to go into device manager and uninstall the drivers for each antminer (make sure you tick the box to delete the drivers when you do it), then install the VCP driver again. When you've done that, unplug the hub and plug it back in and it should detect the antminers again.
You don't need to mess around with that zadig nonsense now... It should be ready to rock if you just run bfgminer with a command line like the following;

I'm relatively new to mining so may just be being a bit stupid here, but I really don't understand what's going on with the difficulty of this coin... If it retargets every block, then surely it should be a hell of a lot higher than 56?!

These things can certainly cause a few headaches at first!!!!
Strange that you're having power issues like that - I've had no issues plugging three of them at a time into my PC's front USB 2 and 3 ports. (Asus P8Z68-V mobo and a Fractal Design R4 case)
I've also had no issues running five of them at once on a powered D-Link hub with a 4a power supply... Maybe check the rating on your hub's power supply.
I'd advise strongly against using cgminer... The driver support is horrible!
I'm using BFG at the moment and have a batch file set up to start mining when the PC is turned on - no intervention needed, it just works!!!

devs, cant you program dime wallet so that it automatically sync? a user friendly coin is a good coin

Doesn't seem to be sorted to me... I just did a new installation and had to copy dimecoin.conf from the wallet folder into %appdata%\roaming\dimecoin before it got any connections.
Is there a daemon available for this coin by any chance? Left a machine solo mining and would like to set up a batch to send x amount of DIME to my other wallet every few hours...
is there a way to overclock it thr the bgf interface, it hashes at 2.0 no matter what i put in ,its like it doesnt give a shit about my bat file and just does its own thing, im trying to see if i can get 2.2
I would advise against even bothering with 2.2, I tried it on mine and results were unstable to say the least!!! cgminer didn't even want to recognise most of my devices, and bfgminer had ridiculous error rates (compared to 0 errors when solo mining an altcoin @ 2.0 overnight)
2.0 is still a pretty decent overclock imo considering the price of these things!
Are you definitely using an up to date version of nwools' bfgminer or Luke's release from yesterday and the following in your command line;
--set-device antminer:clock=x0981 (for 2.0)
--set-device antminer:clock=x0A81 (for 2.2)

I'm sad I missed the release of this coin though as it has a far greater exponential decay in mining rewards than Quark did with 50% of the coins mined in the first 10,000 blocks
Trust me, you weren't missing much! The difficulty at the time went through the roof, so any dreams about being in first and mining craploads were dashed straight away...I still mined a lot more than I do these days of course, but nowhere near as much as I expected to!
What's the frequency for 2.2GH/s? For some reason I thought 0981(2GH/s) was the limit without modifications...

I also unplugged my LCD display this morning to see if that makes a difference (also because my GF wasn't particularly happy with my dodgy soldering being plugged in 24/7!!)

The cron jobs are nice to have, but it looks like watchdog is the one that's helping me out the most, so I'd definitely advise trying that out.
Just Google "watchdog raspberry pi" and you'll find a few tutorials. Instead of using 1 min/24 load, I changed mine to 5 min/70 load.
I've now been mining for about 18 hours with 2 auto reboots thanks to Watchdog.

Yes, they are all using USB and so you can have them all on the same hub.
The AntMiners get hot (and i'm overclocking them to 2.0Gh/s each), i've put some distance between them with extension cables and stuck them near a draughty cold window. Now I can touch them without melting off my fingerprints

Mine were too hot too touch without a fan (way too many "hot potato" moments), but with an arctic cooling breeze fan pointed at them, they're practically cold to the touch now! (each one at 2GH/s and VERY close together on the hub)
