Re: Time to move to BTC
by

I estimate the current situation as a time for holding and sitting on the sidelines. The uncertainty rules the market, and you never know what will happen tomorrow. Not all, but some altcoins fall even deeper than bitcoin. Particularly I didn’t expect Ethereum to drop that much. It is safer to change it to bitcoin. And that’s what I’ve done on CEX https://cex.io/eth-btc. I think even fiat is better at the moment. Btw, on this platform, it’s possible to exchange crypto to fiat.

I never regret about it nor should you. It’s pointless to regret the missed opportunities instead of focusing on possibilities that the future brings to you. It’s never too late to enter the crypto market and make a profit. Earlier joining crypto trading is not a guarantee of success. You started with the right way because knowledge and skills is a key to successful trading. When I started to trade I met the problem of finding a good platform. I tried many of them and stopped on CEX. Because it allows both crypto to fiat trading https://cex.io/btc-eur and crypto to crypto trading.

Re: Is it better to exchange your altcoins for dollars or btc?

It depends. If you believe in Bitcoin, then exchange altcoins for it. If you want to stop dealing with crypto, change them for dollars. You can perform such conversions on CEX, this platform allows you to cash out dollars or exchange altcoins for one another (https://cex.io/zec-btc).

Re: Which will survive in long run Bitcoin or Blockchain???

I believe both blockchain and bitcoin will stay with us. Indeed, blockchain attracts more attention as it can be applied to nearly everything. But Bitcoin as a decentralized means of payment is also a desirable innovation that should be more and more adopted.

Learning must be a top priority, otherwise, how could you choose which coin to invest in and where to do this? Getting a basic knowledge and understanding of crypto is the least you can do to reduce the risks of losses. In addition, you should make a research and choose the wallet for storing coins and the exchange for buying them. As for exchanges, I’d suggest selecting reliable and easy to use ones like CEX. You can buy major coins like ETH with fiat money there (https://cex.io/eth-usd).

I think the last thing any stressed person would do is watching a video with piano sounds. Trader have their own ways to overcome stress. Stress is inevitable when trading and it's crucial to know how to distract yourself.

Re: WHAT NEXT FOR BTC
by

Nothing will happen to bitcoin and rejection by SEC won’t stop the trading. It’s just one of the ways to manipulate the price. It is just a drop in the development of bitcoin which shouldn’t worry us. Bitcoin will grow and the market will recover without ETF approvals. We shouldn’t see it as something that would significantly improve the situation. Yes, the decision can influence the price by attracting institutional investors. Regardless of the approval, bitcoin will remain the king on the market.

I would agree with others. As you're new to crypto, it's not a good choice to deal with binary options or Olymp trade. You'd better start with something simple. Try simple trading or even hodling on trusted and practical exchanges like CEX. Though their market is not so wide, it's very convenient. You can buy coins with fiats or exchange them with BTC (https://cex.io/bch-btc).

Re: Don't buy bitcoin because it won't be fine

Actually, Bitcoin has been performing the role of a currency, a medium of exchange, a payment system for almost 10 years now. Plus, it approved itself as a store of value. People post such things because of their ignorance or bad experience with crypto. If you don’t believe in bitcoin and don’t want to buy it, it is your choice, but let others decide for themselves.

Re: Who controls the market?

Crypto whales and companies with deep pockets have the power to influence the prices and manipulate people (for example, to panic and sell), but I can’t say that the crypto market is controlled by them. Media also plays one of the main roles in manipulating the price. In general, every user, trader, and investor impacts the market making the volumes of trading. Nobody can fully control it.

In 2019, I am looking forward to so the Lightning Network implementation and the massive adoption of Bitcoin. Perhaps, its 10th anniversary may break a physiological barrier for those people who didn't believe in it becoming the currency of the future. Finally, it is expected bitcoin ETF to be approved in 2019.

Re: Zaif Exchange Review. Registration on Japanese Zaif Exchange For Non-residents

It’s interesting that you've made this research. I never thought about registering on a Japanese exchange. Now it seems as a promising opportunity to diversify risks and open a new market. At the moment, I stick to established exchanges like Coinbase, Binance, and CEX which have a great choice of coin pairs (including exotic ones, like BTG-EUR: https://cex.io/btg-eur). Maybe, you can provide some comparison of these exchanges with Zaif? I’d be very grateful.

Re: When to trade altcoins?
by

on 18/10/2018, 09:18:58 UTC
Actually, altcoins are not so highly volatile as Bitcoin. But they are dependent on the BTC price a lot. If it's low, then altcoins will also go down, and vice versa. You can buy any reputable altcoin, just don't invest in some brand new coins. Speaking of a particular crypto, I like the idea of Litecoin being a light version of BTC. LTC is supported by the most crypto exchanges, CEX (https://cex.io/ltc-usd) has finally started trading it, but only with USD at the moment.

I don't think that BTC will go that low. If you have tracked its changes, you have probably noticed that its lowest position was around 5.800. I agree that it's hard to predict how the price of Bitcoin will change. But if I were you, I wouldn't wait too long just to enter the crypto market. I would choose the exchange among the user-friendly platforms with global country coverage, like CEX (https://cex.io/), and start buying and selling.

There is a background that shows us that ripple might be great again. It is developing as a payment product for banks that greatly enhance the chances of ripple growth among other cryptocurrencies. Some globally renowned banks are already using Ripple Labs services while other took an interest or in the course of testing it. There is a possibility that as a result of conquering the banking sector we will observe xrp's grows in demand and price increase. Investment funds oftener use the coin as an instrument for long-term investment that also may have a positive impact on the price.

Re: People are not motivated by money.
by

on 21/09/2018, 11:51:24 UTC
Money is the motivation for people to face their needs and desires. When a person has enough money not to care about minimum needs like food, housing, etc, he or she has time and resource to create something innovative beneficial for everyone. I think money is one of the main motivating factors, but not always. Some people find motivation in fame, appreciation, and power. Sometimes, these people’s needs are stronger than money.

of course a good investor will first do its own research (whitepaper, roadmap and etc), besides that what is your biggest motivation?

Honestly, there are several factors that motivate me to deal with crypto.  And, honestly, money is one of the main ones. But it’s not the only thing that matters for me. It’s really interesting for me to deal with crypto, so you can even call me a crypto enthusiast, lol. But it also brings new criteria’s which I mind when I’m choosing crypto resources. For example I really don’t like working with exchanges that has inconvenient interface. Yep, for someone it doesn’t matter at all, but it matters for me. That’s actually one of reasons why I mostly working with cex. Yep, they don’t have a lot of different coins, but the site looks great and I enjoy working there.

Re: Is Bitcoin Worth To Be Currency?
by
chaklee1
on 18/09/2018, 13:56:45 UTC
In my opinion, bitcoin is worth to be a currency, but at the moment it has some problems to solve. The volatility of bitcoin’s price that can change in seconds is very risky. On the other hand, since you can’t forge bitcoin, there won’t be any inflation. And the most important thing, bitcoin has a perfect concept comparably to fiats. Its decentralized character eliminates the need of centralized banks. There are many arguments for both sides, but only time will show the result.

It's good that you asked that, but after you get some opinions, do additional research. Becouse in any case you'll be the only one, who is responsible for your possible losses.
