The technology behind ICP has enormous potential & it's sad when a good project is destroyed by greed.
I saw a few friends they shared that they got the money from $50k to $200k from this airdrop, I was also surprised and happy to have them share that they did it a long time ago and right away not even I remember exactly about it. Anyway congratulations everyone who has participated and been with this project, you are having fun from it.
How did they get such huge amount of tokens, when in airdrop rules it was mentioned that "Users who subscribed before April 4th will get between $500 – $2500 DFN and users who subscribed after will receive at least $100 worth of DFN tokens." ?
In Reddit, people mention that they receive either 28, or 119 tokens. With the price of roughly $500, these 119 ICN tokens could be "$50k". But how did they get $200k? Cheated and participated with multiple accounts?
It does not rule out that it is just a special strategy used by certain individuals so that the airdrop seems very attractive and makes people have a strong desire to be part of the airdrop. You can be fooled by this kind of game, not only is the money lost, but the most important part of you that you give, namely your complete identity, becomes a dangerous threat in the future.
Data misuse is very common in this era. We all know that data is more important than gold. For example: Google, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok which have successfully monetized their user data for the benefit of the platform.

I think the ICP supporters community is very happy and happy with its current success, to be honest looking at the dev's efforts during the development of this project is not too surprising when it is as successful as it is now.
This did not age well. ICP has enormous potential, but it was priced too high, and its Coinbase listing was turned into a rug pull by the developers.
I see ICP as more of the same case with any IEO coin that instantly got listed in some big exchange, it reaches some ridiculous fee and then tank.
as I've seen ICP was really hyped so much that the price could reach as high as $800 and I was almost get fomo'd thinking it could hits $1000 trying to make an
entry at around $500m though I stopped since the market at early stage of listing is really volatile and than proves me right, though the current price I think it's undervalued.
Maybe I will also try to accumulate some but the thing I was most afraid was the same as you, the market cap grows so fast it's actually feels dangerous.

It is clear that the promoters were not interested in long term growth of the project. The price was kept extremely high (at least by a factor of 10x). There was a lot of dumping going on, right from the beginning (and looking at the trade data, I don't think that a majority of this came form the airdrop recipients). What we saw in ICP is very similar to the case with some of the other previous projects. The promoters came up with a very innovative idea, create a lot of hype and thereby pump the prices. When the prices are at peak, they will dump their tokens and make the exit. Those who purchased the tokens at peak levels will be now stuck with them, as the development will never kick off. The promoters have received a lot of money and they will be no longer interested in this project.

I am not too surprised about this project, as this is one of the projects I follow with a strong team and is potential. What it achieves right now is entirely worth it.

thanks for this info. that's why ICP token price is so much high. but right now its falling because of the whole market is falling apart and even eth and bitcoin is in blood bath.

ICP overpriced its initial offering. A few weeks ago, the market cap was as high as $75 billion, before the prices crashed in a matter of hours. This may be a good project, but I don't understand going for such a high valuation. The Ethereum ICO had an initial soft-cap of just $18 million. And these guys are going for almost 4,000 times of that amount. And for ICP, I don't think that the prices have bottomed out yet. The cryptocurrency market as a whole is looking bearish and for overpriced coins such as ICP, the future outlook is quite bleak.
