Well theoretically if you had the processing power to attack bitcoin, couldn't you just attack litecoin, and change the rules around including bitcoin hashes, or whatetever, before attacking bitcoin ?

Wow this is actually the most compelling thing I've seen. I'm not sold it's him, but very interesting. I mean the chances of a completely normal person wearing a clear ancap logo has got to be rare right?
Lets say you have a certain number of indicators. Each indicator on it's own own has an 80% chance of being accurate, if you have 5 or 7 different indicators say, how likely is it that the majority would be accurate ?
Thanks.
Overall the majority will be accurate - you have said 80% will be accurate, and 80% is a majority.
Sorry, to clarify, I mean each indicator on it's own is 80% accurate.
Lets say we have 5 indicators that each will say "red" 80% of the time to indicate red, but can also sometimes say "blue" 20% of the time.
What are the chances of 3/5 of them saying "red", what are the chances of all of them saying "blue" ? etc.
Lets say you have a certain number of indicators. Each indicator on it's own own has an 80% chance of being accurate, if you have 5 or 7 different indicators say, how likely is it that the majority would be accurate ?
Thanks.

The problem I would see is that 99% of bitcoin owners already own plenty of dollars to buy coffee with. This could probably be more useful in the future.
wow thats some expensive bitcoin, 55 dollar card gets you 50$ in bitcoin? 10%? no thanks.
It's actually cheaper than I would have expected. I don't see why it's a terrible deal. It could be especially good for people who want to buy bitcoins anonymously.

I've heard a number of horror stories around coinbase, we should probably spread the word more that coinbase is not to be used.
