Everyone is just posting a different coin but I don't see much information being given out about these suggested projects.

Invest in a combined portfolio, start with bitcoin and ethereum until you learn more about the smaller alts and then gradually diversify into those alts. Some good smaller alts I can suggest are Enjin and FunFair.

Selling is the most stupid thing to do at this point.

Indeed though i see a lot are selling atm.....Not wise or they are daytrading sells

A lot of the selling now comes down to Asia but I agree selling now after such a dip is ridiculous since it is likely to pump back up quite a bit and quite soon, maybe even reach a new all time high.

Re: How to convert bitcoin cash to USD?
by
charlescoin
on 22/12/2017, 09:42:22 UTC
Are there any exchanges that allow it? I heard Bitfinex does, but also heard that they only allow conversion to USDT (and people were having trouble converting USDT into USD, unless this has been solved?)

Use bitstamp to convert it to USD then you can withdraw directly to your bank account or load a debit card with it if that is more suitable.

BTC Will Go to 7500$.
SELL YOUR BTC NOW .

I doubt it, there is too much support for BTC to fall that far, maybe $10k but I don't think it can fall further unless we enter a really serious bear market. I think $20k by years end is a lot more likely than $10k.

Re: Bitcoin Jumps High This year

Hey....Guys

I'm a newbie and don't know about the large investments in Cryptocurrency. But I see This year Bitcoin Price going very high. How the Predictions of 2018? Can I invest in Cryptocurrency in 2018?

Please Suggest me!

Right now bitcoin is in a near free fall but I think most people here believe in it for the long term, next year we could easily see bitcoin prices of $50000, so I think its definitely a good time to buy. That being said altcoins have much more potential and you could easily see 10x or 20x your gains there during 2018.

While you may regret cashing out at some point in the future when bitcoin goes up way higher I think it will save you so much stress that you did it now. Watching the live prices all day long is really nerve-racking.

Re: Bitcoin is Falling...Is it Panic Time?
by

People are really panicking but bitcoin falls up to 30% in a short time quite often, it is just a volatile currency. I am sure the prices will be right back to where they should be in the coming weeks and months anyway.

Re: Whats your BTC strike/buy-in price?
by
charlescoin
on 21/12/2017, 19:46:44 UTC
I sold off my initial capital in BTC when it was ~$14,900/BTC. Made some profit but now looking to make a splash and get back into BTC. What is a good price to put $$ in .. $15K? $14K? Bitcoin is less than 0.5% of my assets and it won't made a difference if BTC goes up to $100K or to $0.

$15k is probably a really good price, it could go down as low as $14k in the short term but 15k represents a good support level. I don't expect it to go below this in the near future unless there is a major crash.

Re: Ripple? Are you kidding me?
by
charlescoin

I think hours ago, Ripple's price was like $0.78 or something. When I checked it again, it had a huge jump to $0.95! I don't know what's going on with the recent pumping?

I only have a few Ripples holding in my portfolio, but I bet that this is going to soar to $1.00 despite being undervalued. I don't know, maybe today? Tomorrow? Next week? This is just great!

Ripple has always been a volatile currency, but I would definitely not say it is undervalued, less than 40% of the supply has been released and it already has a market cap of $40 billion. It has always crashed in the past after such pumps and I expect it to eventually do so again.

Re: Steemit.com: Blogging is the new Mining

I saw that Steem had a very nice rise in the last month, wow ...

You guys made good profits for christmas Smiley ... nice  Smiley

Frankly speaking the SBD prices are kinda very unreal at the moment. 1 SBD is currently worth $12 while it was supposed to be pegged at $1. Most probably in January the SBD prices are going to fall very hard, although Steem prices may remain stable.

It's quite amazing, with these SBD prices I've made over $800 for a single post, others are making $3,000+!

How do you earn this much? When I look at the stats most people still earn only very little even with very high quality posts. Maybe I should start blogging...

if the coin you buy suddenly goes down, what do you do?
panic sell or hold ??

If its a coin I believe in then I hold and sometimes even buy more. The measure of a projects long term success is not a function of it's short term price volatility.

I participated in the ICO but sold my tokens a few weeks after distribution. I like the concept but I'm still a bit skeptical about whether it can be feasible in reality. I did not however realize the marketcap was still so low, it might be a great opportunity to buy back in.

I'm a strong believer in waves but would you care to elaborate on this statement? Is it just your gut feeling or is there some reason it should go up in the near future?

Re: How long bitcoin will survive ?
by
charlescoin
on 21/12/2017, 19:27:06 UTC
Bitcoin will last more then any fiat currency.

So how old is the USD, UK pounds, EURO, CAD, YEN, YUAN, and your paper money? And how old is bitcoin now?

You can't buy a pack of cigarettes using BTC right now because of high transaction fees. Paper money or fiat currency doesn't need transaction fees when paying what you buy on any groceries.

You are right, bitcoin isn't replacing paper money anytime soon. The protocol itself however can survive for all eternity as long as even just a handful of people continue to use it. So far it has failed to show itself as a useful currency though but that won't stop people from using it.

Hard to sit here and watch our BTC fighting off yet another attack from these twat wads. Our baby is wounded but standing strong.

Godspeed.

Hard time for a hodler sure but a hodler shouldn't worry about a few fluctuations over a couple of days, now if we had crashed over weeks or months then I would say yes it's a bit hard at that point.

Re: Is it safe to participate in ICO's?
by
charlescoin
on 20/12/2017, 20:50:52 UTC
To participate in this event there is no security ico, do your due diligence. Check how transparent the team and coin are if it has the potential!

Even with due diligence there is no such thing as a safe ICO, better to spread the investment to several different ones instead. This way if you make investment into 10 ICOs you will be fine if 9 of them die as long as one of them hits it big.

Re: Will Ether price hit 700$ by the end of 2017.
by
charlescoin
on 20/12/2017, 20:41:27 UTC
I suppose we need to rename this thread))) ETH already achieve the $700 price level and I think it will go further up to 1000-1200 in two months.

Yep Smiley
I think $1000 up to 31 of December.

Now the price has stopped and does not go up. If bitcoin becomes much cheaper, then the price of Ether will decrease. I think that by the New Year the price will reach only 800-900 dollars
The fact is that many experts generally say that $ 1000 is the maximum price of the etherium, but all that it is capable of. Thus it is possible that this price will be not only until the end of this year, but also in the next 2018.

Experts aren't saying Ethereum will peak at $1000, just take a look at most ICOs who refuse to sell their ETH because they see the long term potential in it and so only cash out as necessary.

A lot believe it will hit $1000 in the short term and perhaps before the end of the year, but by the end of next year it will definitely be somewhere between $2000 and $5000 if not more.

Re: Is bitcoin dangerous ?
by
charlescoin
on 20/12/2017, 20:36:38 UTC
Bitcoin is not dangerous, but investments in it are becoming increasingly risky due to the fact that a significant increase in its value does not correspond to the growth of its intrinsic value as a digital currency. However, so far no one can say how the bikoyn will behave if its price rises, say, to $ 100,000 or more. After all, the digital currency is a completely new type of currency and it is still unclear whether such a sharp rise in the exchange rate is an acceptable phenomenon for it.

Yeah we have crazy volatility and bitcoin is definitely not a safe investment, however we do notice the price seems to always recover no matter how far it crashes so yes no one knows what will happen when it reaches its natural peak.

Re: Litecoin is officially dead
by
charlescoin
on 20/12/2017, 20:34:04 UTC
Litecoin is still alive after 3years maybe it will die soon as the founder said he sold all of his LTC,but not selling mine i still believe to the LTC's future.

It's alive but it is still as useless as it ever was, the only thing it offers better than bitcoin is faster confirmations and ethereum already does that better. From a technical perspective OP is right, just the market has chosen to keep this coin going as it has a lot of other older altcoins.
