And here goes the first mining pool for the new PoW HybridScryptHAsh256 PoW algorithm!

http://ibipot.com

you should use the new second generation bfgminer (here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=397831.msg4814800#msg4814800)

example:
bfgminer -o http://ibipot.com:3333 -u username.workername -p 123

with the new bfgminer, mcproxy functionalities are integrated all in one software, you do not need mcproxy anymore.

OR

if you want to continue us cgminer/bfgminer (first version) + mcproxy, you can!.
You will need to setup your own instance of stratum-mining-proxy (https://github.com/mrtexaznl/stratum-mining-proxy).

We are here to support miners! Post in the forum to get help.  Wink

Successfully poolmining with the new bfgminer! This is very exciting!! Smiley

all new block....no accept or reject

would you tell me whats the problem of my setting

pre_thx

You haven't found a block yet, I assume?

This is normal from what I have seen. I get the same messages in cgminer while solo-mining and have found many blocks. As I understand it, the messages are expected due to the nature of the HybridScryptHash256 process- the new block detected messages are just the communication between cgminer (SHA256 portion) and mcproxy as the java process (Scrypt) is working correctly. smallplatf can probably confirm. What's your hashrate? Total CPU %? CPU % usage on java process? This will help to debug and understand if there's an issue or if you're just unlucky to not have found a block yet.

The innovation in algo is notable, but I think this coin needs:

- a new, shorter name
- a new, modern logo "coin like"
- better marketing

Agreed. Also, is it MED or MDC ?? Shows MED in wallet client, official website says MDC :S

We would stick to MED, going to correct the web site...done.
Still seems to mention MDC in the donation text:

I would also like to play with ripple. It kind of sucks there are no fountains or anything, and you need 100XRP to get started. If anyone is feeling generous...

Lets have a Bitcoin quiz. If folks score above 70%, then they can post immediately. It will help the more informed people get going and contribute right away while the real newbies can spend time in this forum, learn and make silly comments and suggestions (like this one).

Lol ruletheworld, that would certainly reduce the number of posters. I would prefer to see a peer review model introduce, where by senior posters can flag poster who abuse / spam the forum. These posters could firstly be warned, then if behaviour continues suspended from posting.

It wouldn't. It goes without saying that the quiz would be optional, if you want to bypass this procedure.

I like this idea. I am very familiar with bitcoin and would love the opportunity to take a quick quiz to get out of newbie jail. The only issues would obviously be:
#1) Someone provides quiz answers to bypass this check (passive)
#2) Someone takes the quiz for you (active)

I already received many emails wishing to purchase my bitcointalk account since my email address was public (I'm assuming for free XRP?) so really no matter what people will find ways around.
