Did you ever get any results with this? I've finally been KYC'd but it's still incredibly slow trying to pull out coins from CampBX (capped at .15BTC a day and often fail due to congestion) and they are very unhelpful.
I recently discovered I had some BTC left in CampBX and suspect I'll be in the same boat as well. Just applied for KYC, but even trying to transfer a tiny amount of BTC (under the $250/day limit) still failed due to "network congestion". If anyone else has resources on how to deal with them please share!
I don't know if you are only going to be mining on the comp, but you could have done a lot better as far as price/khps goes.

Are you seeing the site report your 1GHs rate or is it showing 0? I'm not sure if anything I'm doing is working at all, even though OpenCL appears to connect now (while cgminer run through GUIminer never did....)

Is the PPC pool down? I can't tell if it's just me or something wrong with Coinotron. GUIminer reports "connection problems" in the summary when trying to connect to coinotron.com:9322
edit: although I see I have some unconfirmed rewards on the site? But the MHash reported is always 0. Am I doing something wrong?

Apologies - totally new to this, but is there a way to verify I'm actually connecting / doing anything? Before I run off to buy a new card, I want to make sure this is working.

I mean, mining LTC will certainly be easier for you, but the potential has much higher variance. It's less risky than the other altcoins, but still is way too early to say whether it will be worth it or not.
You could mine some for the hell of it with whatever machine you currently have, but I wouldn't spend additional money just for that (at this point).

So question, when you buy coins off of blockchain for USD, how does it work?
Do they just go to a market, buy at that price for your specified USD amt, and deposit the coins into your wallet?

or put it all in btc and in a month when it doubles (or goes even higher) cash out half to buy the pc!
+1. unless you need the PC now... just invest in BTC first. You won't get there by mining.Do people just jump in on mining these new altcoins in the hopes that they'll actually succeed? I'm relatively new and trying to understand it more. I suppose the costs early on are extremely low.
