Re: What are the pros and cons of gold compared to bitcoin?
by
chenczane

I would rather speak about both Bitcoin and Gold as I believe both should be a part of your portfolio for better balance. Diversification is the key of a healthy portfolio. So I always consider keeping gold in my portfolio for capital protection. Bitcoin is a very volatile assets and it is highly risky. So adding gold in your portfolio gives it a nice balance of capital protection because gold is not volatile. I always prefer paper gold to avoid making charges.

So instead of comparing gold with Bitcoin, adopt both of them. Both assets are valued based on rarity. Bitcoin has a fixed number and gold supply is also slowly depleting. If you are really serious about your investment, you must not ignore gold and should also include Silver in your portfolio of investment.

Both assets are valuable In their various ways,Gold and bitcoin offers different benefits and advantages. We all know that Gold and bitcoin are very productive in terms of investment choices,so I wouldn't want to recommend the comparison that exist between them.Instead of the comparison, check, consider and utilize any of them depending on your financial goals.

Both Gold and bitcoin have a role to play in the financial markets, each of them comes with its advantage and disadvantages, preferably either of them that suits your decision to acquire and achieve.
Basically,I like both Gold and bitcoin;both are relatively scarce, and they prevent people against fait currency manipulations.
Indeed! Both have different role, they are both vital in the world of market. For me, the advantage of gold is that you can touch it, feel it, and see it. Unlike the Bitcoin, you can't hold it, see it, or touch it. Both value is rising so there's no loss investing in both .

Also, in case of emergency if you have gold and you need a cash you can pawn it anytime and that is it, sweet cash. Just like the old man says, "Cash is King"

Yes. Bitcoin price is low right now. For me, its all about taking every opportunity we can get. We should start investing right now and be prepared for the next price increase. We might not get a price this low. Make sure to be part of the huge SALE.

Re: If an ICO team is anonymous, is it a scam?
by

on 27/12/2018, 20:16:25 UTC
YES. It is a scam. Legit ICO's always have their identity shown to the public. Being anonymous means that they are hiding something and its usually a bad thing. Even newbies will not invest on an anonymous ICO. I was amazed to see how many people posted on this thread as we all have the same answer. Don't  say it will not be a scam just because you want to be different.LOL, you know the truth

Re: Not yet an end for crypto

The price decrease opens a new opportunity for me. I now hodl multiple coins and I purchased it at a cheap price. If I remember correctly, the coins I were holding are six times cheaper compared to its price a few months ago. I think this is a good deal and opens a lot of way on how I will sell. It can be short term or long term, as long as a I am satisfied with the price.

Yes. I agree. There are times that we should know when to give up. Especially if the coin doesn't have its value anymore. On Ethereum's case, its different because it is the most famous and most used altcoin because of the format they offer. You should keep on believing (only for this coin).  Cool

I don't think see. I rarely see an activity on WAVES exchanges and only their coin has the high circulation. Other coins using their platforms turns out to be a dead coin or there is no active buy orders on the exchange. Also, I noticed that coins using WAVES platform are more likely to fail than ERC-20 coins.

Ethereum - it comes to a point were it reached its lowest price. I think it will be best for us to increase the number of Ethereum since the only way for it to go is upwards. Always remember that it holds record of the longest alternate coin at the #2 spot on the ranking. It will reclaim its throne sooner than later. Be prepared for that to happen and buy Ethereum while its cheap.

Re: Should We Diversify Our Investments?
by

on 18/12/2018, 02:56:02 UTC
Yes. It makes sense to have multiple investment than going all in on one project or coin. A lone investment fails and everything falls down while having multiple investments give us the ability to sell anytime we want to and it also gives us a choice if its for long term or short term hodl.

Re: CRYPTO MARKET SITUATION.
by

This is the worst year ending in all of crypto's performance every year. Hopefully, there will be a bright light by 2019. However, I will not expect that much improvement on January 2019 as there is not much demand on crypto. The hype is not there for crypto even if it is expected to have the highest demand every end and beginning of the year. If bull run will happen by 2019, maybe its at the end of the year.

Re: You don't have to HODL
by
chenczane
on 17/12/2018, 23:30:45 UTC
It depends if you are happy with the price. Hodling are for those people who wants to earn more and not happy with the price. If you are satisfied, you can immediately sell it. No one has the right to stop you from selling your coin. At the end of the day, it is only you who can decide if you were going to hold or sell. The best thing to do right now is to BUY considering how cheap the prices are. You can settle for short term or long term trade depending on your needs.

Just go back to basics to answer your question. Law of supply and demand. If it goes up, I think the main reason is that there are people who were buying and less people were selling. No need to go technical and add rumors to the slight increase that has happened.

Re: Profits In 2018 Bear Market
by

on 14/12/2018, 23:20:15 UTC
I think the best way to earn this year is by trading on a short term basis. A lot of people has failed already because the market suddenly drops. There are a lot of opportunities to sell before the incident happened but they refused and let go of the opportunity (I am part of this). Even you are only earning small amounts on short trades, I think its still better than losing more than 50% of you assets.

Re: Buying ripple coins worth it?
by

on 13/12/2018, 18:56:19 UTC
Yes. I have been buying and selling Ripple the whole 2018 and it generated some income on my end. It actually helped me recover from my bad decision on other alternate coins. A lot of people were doubting Ripple and look what happened to them, they missed the price pump twice. I am just glad that I am heavily invested on Ripple than any other coin. For now, I transitioned to Ethereum because of the super low price. I hodl some Ripple just for a back up plan.

Re: Do not invest in ICO anymore. Do not Feed scammers
by

Finally, someone talks about this. Scam ICO's are everywhere and its much better to just stay away from ICO. Majority of them were scam so what's the point of investing into something that will turn our backs against us. Its like investing to lose money. Just trade on exchanges, its much safer that way.

Re: Do You Think A Bull Run Is Really Coming
by
chenczane
on 13/12/2018, 01:30:52 UTC
I am not expecting a bull run but random pumps on different coins. I believe that it is still a possibility but it can take some time before it happens. For now, the best course of action is short term trades because of the aggressive market (going down). We should increase the number of coins in hand to help the market. Selling will just make the situation worst and we are not helping ourselves as we are to lose more because of the low price.

Re: Is now the time to buy ALTs?
by
chenczane
on 13/12/2018, 01:26:29 UTC
Yes. This is the best time to buy alternate coins especially if you look at the price. It's on its lowest and we should take every opportunity we could get.  Instead of selling, its much better to buy cheap top tier coins and then sell later when we are happy with the price. Small gains on short term hodl is not so bad. Imagine if you have 10 different coins that appreciate at the same time.  Cool

Re: Bitcoin Cash vs Bitcoin SV
by
chenczane
on 12/12/2018, 23:47:04 UTC
Bitcoin Cash has the edge between the two. BTC cash has already made its wallet exchange in the Philippines while Bitcoin SV doesn't have any yet. That indication shows the difference between the two coin. Don't get me wrong, both of them are worth holding but the other one is just a bit better since it offers a service that is much really needed in our country.

Re: Most alts are worth Zero
by

Yes I agree. What I hate the most is that an altcoin with no buy order. It should be delisted and those ICO releasing it should take ownership and buy those coin back. It is unfair for investors to have a coin with zero value. No wonder we are losing fat investors because they can't do anything but accept when this things happen. We should protect the investors money.

Re: You can start all over again
by

on 11/12/2018, 21:44:42 UTC
I agree. This is the best time to press the reset button. I know that our assets were on RED since the market nose dive happened. However, we still need to keep on believing as there is no way for the market to go but upwards. It is much better to find ways to increase the number of coins in our wallets then hodl it until the next price increase. Don't aim for bull run as we don't know if it will ever happen. Aim for something that is achievable, like a slight recovery on the market.
