If you prefer Ripple so check Stellar. It's more promising platform, in my opinion, which made huge progress in the last months. It's really decentralized and not for profit foundation.

What is your opinion about Hedera Hashgraph platform? It seems like very promising DLT project with very high transaction speeds. It's not blockchain based, but DLT.
Do you think it can disrupt Ethereum for DAPPs and ICOs?

More serious ICOs are turning today to private sales and don't even reach the stage of public sale. Sometimes they reach it with very limited amount of tokens to distribute publicly. Some of them are also preparing to issue security tokens because of new regulation. The ICO field is just going through transformation.

In my opinion Ethereum was overhyped with all ICOs that jumped on the opportunity without much of understanding what they do. Ethereum is not that good platform for ICOs because of transactions costs and being slow. There are better solutions for blockchain and ICOs out there. People are starting to be more aware of this fact. It seems that Ethereum times are over.

EOS has more potential due to the fact of 4b ICO. This is a huge investments that gives a lot of options for development. Regarding Waves we need to see whether it will survive the cryptocurrency field turbulence in Russia.

I personally believe in long-term. But I don't think that the future is with bitcoin. It has quite significant technical limitations. One should pay more attention, in my opinion, to emerging alternative DLT platforms.

In my opinion Ripple has good potential to grow while being adapted by more and more financial institutions. But I believe more in Stellar, I think it has more potential to grow up in value.

The EOS platform will be the next great thing if they deliver what they promise. It can be the next most popular platform for ICOs and for smart contracts. It offers speed and scalability, and won't have gas analog payments for using it. It reminds property ownership holding rights. You will be an owner of certain percentage of EOS bandwidth, according to the number of EOS tokens that you own. You can even rent this tokens. So if you believe that the team can deliver what they promise it's definitely time to buy their tokens.

I see your points. Thank you a lot for expressing your opinions. My hope is that with investors' experience only the most professional projects and ICOs will get support. Also regulations will contribute to exclude malicious projects. ICO is really great tool for crowdfunding. It can give a lot of fuel for promising projects. It can also create very good source of profit for investors. In my humble opinion it can happen already in the beginning of 2019. In 2018 ICO launchers will understand that it's not worse to launch malicious projects because they will not attract investments or even can be charged with criminal offence.

In my opinion you can quit you job in the case when you already generate 1\4 of your monthly salary doing bounty campaigns part-time. In these case you will have a good benchmark what is possible and how much effort is needed.

Regulations in different countries are changing very quickly. But currently the best jurisdictions for cryprtocurrencies in my opinion are:
Switzerland, Estonia, Belarus, Malta, Cayman Islands... Try to explore these jurisdictions first.

Advisors are good if they are really knowledgeable and professional in the field of specific project. They need to cover lack of expertise in certain fields within the team members. I don't believe in celebrity advisers. This is pure promotion. We should go deeper and google their professional record. Sometimes it's worse to contact the advisors directly and to communicate with them in order to get our own impression regarding their level involvement and professionalism.

The perfect ICO is very simple , that you like the idea of the project, it's finally implemented and you earn at least 100% on it.
But of course, nothing is perfect in our word. Just learn and get experience, and with time most of ICOs that you invest will become more interesting and profitable for you.

Re: Did ETH changed crypto world?

ETH definitely did it. It actually revolutionized the concept of cryptocurrency from being solo currency to creating excellent platform for other applications based on blockchain. First and foremost it's smart contracts. But the whole concept of ICOs was actually revolutionized by Ethereum. In my opinion Ethereum brought cryptoworld to mass adoption. But as every pioneer in its field it can be overplayed by further competitors versions that can improve some features or even to upgrade the whole concept.

Altcoins that offer platform services for smart contracts or that are able improve speed of the blockchain protocol.
Pay attention for long term on Ethereum, EOS, Stellar, NEO, IOTA...
