I need to make a list with the exchanges that have withdrawals via API.
The only that I know right now is: Bitstamp
There are other options?

Maybe another Mt Gox this Bitstamp... the prices on Bitstamp looks like manipulation, after the ban to BTC withdrawals the prices remain stable.

Re: Bitcoin's endgame? Bitstamp also suspends withdrawals

What is happening is a discredit to the Bitcoin cryptocurrency. The end of net neutrality will also help to kill this "free open-source crytocurrencies".
I think this is the beginning of the end to Bitcoin, but I do not think that the cryptocurrencies will go away. This experience called Bitcoin will be used to the reborn of a new banking system. The public transactions scheme is a dream for Governments and Central Banks. Imagine that you track all money transactions and that transactions made available to all, including governments... all your taxes will be calculated automatically, you will not be able to run paying taxes... this Bitcoin experience is all about selling you a totalitarian financial system.

Bitstampt suspend Bitcoin withdrawals.
This will get ugly!

Bitcoin withdrawal processing suspended Dear Bitstamp users Bitstamps exchange software is extremely cautious concerning Bitcoin transactions. Currently it has suspended processing Bitcoin withdrawals due to inconsistent results reported by our bitcoind wallet, caused by a denial-of-service attack using transaction malleability to temporarily disrupt balance checking. As such, Bitcoin withdrawal processing will be suspended temporarily until a software fix is issued. No funds have been lost and no funds are at risk. This is a denial-of-service attack made possible by some misunderstandings in Bitcoin wallet implementations. These misunderstandings have simple solutions that are being implemented as we speak, and we're confident everything will be back to normal shortly. Withdrawals which failed on the 10th and 11th of February will be canceled and the amounts added back to the customer account balances. We will communicate any further developments regarding this issue. Thank you for your understanding! Best regards Bitstamp team Bitstamp Support
I love bitcoin so far, but i hate how you idiots are allowed to view everyone of my fucking transactions. You piss me the fuck off.
I like bitcoin, but it's imperfect. In order to be a perfect crypto-currency, we need to have a program that does TRUE anonymity, with no chance of anyone seeing your transactions. I mean how is it any better that you can look at Max Keiser's address and figure out what he's buying? THat's world wide though. Not just a select few people. EVERYONE can see what you're paying, even if they can't figure out what you bought. Why would that matter? The government can now link you to your address and harass you with questions of what you bought. I think i will have a look at bitcoin's source, but i'm thinking of eventually modifying the source code to SAFELY allow TRUE anonymous transactions.
Welcome to the new central controlled economy where all you do is watched by everyone else.
But yes, many of the bitcoin premisses are just crap. The job of the bitcoin and all other cryptocurrencies will be to open a new paradigm to the banking system... I think we all understand that at this point.

Four questions about backups and bitcoind
by
chipbike
on 05/02/2014, 23:49:56 UTC
Hi all,
I need some help understanding how to backup a wallet.
1 - I will have a bitcoind daemon running that will generate various addresses each day, because of this I think I will need to do backups every day. Is this correct?
2 - Is "wallet.dat" all I have to backup? I only need to make a copy of this file? $ cp wallet.dat /home/my_user ?
3 - I can make the backups with bitcoind running?
4 - How to restore? Imagine that the server goes away. All I need is to reinstall bitcoind and replace the "wallet.dat" with my backed up "wallet.dat"?
Give me some clues.
Thanks.

This is kind of normal in Bitstamp. I think that they should deal with this kind of failures on the website. It is annoying.

How to generate a new BTC address with bitcoind?
by
chipbike
on 26/01/2014, 13:57:02 UTC
Hi,
I need to create new Bitcoin addresses using the command line and bitcoind.
I think via WU or money gram cash as its available almost all countries in the world!
Angola is a country in a non convertible currency zone. It is not as easy as if you live in a convertible currency zone to put your money out of the country.
I think the best bet is to find a foreigner, a Portuguese for example that have access to a Portuguese bank account. It is not hard to find a Portuguese in Angola these days.
I opened and account and transfer a very small amount of BTCs to test the API, but until now I don't have BTCs in my balance.
How much time it takes to get the BTCs in the balance?
The transaction have now more than 2 hours and have more than 10 confirmations.

Hi,
I'm developing a trading bot. I need to work with a reliable exchange. I've an account in Bitstamp, their service is nice, but the website fails a lot. Do you have opinions on BTC-e, they are more stable than Bitstamp?

How to run Bitcoind in the background/startup? (Ubuntu 12.04)
by

Hi,
I'm setting up a Bitcoind server in a Ubuntu 12.04.
I'm trying to understand how can I start Bitcoind at boot and keep it running in the background.
For example, if I do:
Code:
# bitcoind -daemon # ...
The server will start, but if I close the terminal window, the server will shut down after a while.
