NewBI is a POC project too,It’s friendly to new miners or small miners. :

I cant believe it ... please have them fix their wallet-address and numerical account ID generation first - this is the first poc-coin I met that generates incompatible IDs to burstcoin

I wont replot my drives for a new vapour coin ... please FIX this ..
and while you are at it .. where does your customized version of jminer send the deadlines and stuff ?
so that I can replace it with my existing combo of multimining proxy and scavenger

I'm sorry, this is not a bug. NEWBI can't work together with burst and bhd,It's independent with others, It means you have to make a choice. To mine NEWBI or others.

The OP says you can multi-mine. Which coins can you multi-mine with Diskcoin?

Update: Recently we have received a lot of questions about Plotter ID, now we provide a Diskcoin PID Generator here:  https://diskcoin.org/PidGenerator/ . You can click this link to generate a PID.

After our mainnet online, it may not be compatible with the PID of other wallets. So recommended that you use this tool to generate PID to mine DISC.

If you do not use the PID generated by this tool to plot, you will not be able to multi-mine (mine other PoC coins while mine DISC).

I do not see the problem with the current name so I would ask for a vote prior to any change.

BlackCoin has had the same name since it started in 2014. If it changed nobody would know it's the same coin. It would be a huge mistake to change its name.

Re: Welcome back! $700

For those who are not updated to the bitcoin price well I just post these for additional information of others And now it  reached again the barrier of $700 in https://www.bitstamp.net/
And the current price now is $702.94 as what we expect it will increase and increase until the halving.

So come on just wait and relax. It will reach its highest price this time. Grin

Cheers!

You will have to wait for a new high price.I'd say give it another few more months, maybe 6-10.
Regarding the $700 it seems there is not enough buying pressure to finally break it at the moment.
The volume is still not that impressive and another drop to where we were a few days ago wouldn't surprise me.
I don't expect much movement until halving or shortly after it.The next real growth will happen with a bit of delay, at the end of this year imo.

I expect the price to stay in a $30 to $40 range between $670 and $710 for the next week, so it will probably go to $750 soon. I agree there will be a time delay between the halving and impressive rises above the ATH, so it will probably go impressively above the ATH before the halving.

ARDOR NXT is better than the ICOs that are everywhere. Most ICOs lose investors money like with the WAVES and RISE ICOs, but the devs get paid thousands of BITCOINS even if their coin flops. ARDOR will make investors money because it's in the devs interest to make it successful.

Is this similar to an Ethereum asset, or is it a clone of Ethereum and a proper coin in its own right?

Re: Are old altcoins like nigerian stamps or NOT?

Nigerian stamps? Are you sure you're not getting them mixed up with the now worthless zimbabwean dollars? Never heard of Nigerian stamps before.

This website sells them, and it's one of the largest stamp companies in the world.

http://www.sandafayre.com/countries/nigerianstamps.html

The Nigerian stamps on the first page cost between £50 and £800. Zimbabwean dollars are now worthless, but  Nigerian stamps are a good investment from the looks of those prices.

There is not anyone official to complain to if most exchanges rip you off. You could try suing them but most will be located abroad, so you would have to pay a foreign lawyer a fortune. Unless they ripped you off for a fortune it wouldn't be worth suing. The lawyer's fees would cost more than you could get back.

Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Still going sideways I see.

Off to cottage country for a weekend of gigging and camping. I don't know what internet access will be like, so I may not find out until Sunday night how we're doing but my guess is that the sideways will continue.

Cheers all.

In the middle of nowhere outside of towns and villages you might not even be able to make a mobile phone call. I found especially in areas with mountains that it's very difficult to get a signal because the mountains block it out. Unless you have satellite equipment you might have to go without the internet until you get home.

$232 sell wall @btc-e

That's not much of a wall, it's only for 132 bitcoins, and the bid side has a bigger wall.

Has btc-e started processing USD withdrawals again yet because I remember they had stopped them a few weeks ago? Judging by the spread shown in that chart there isn't much volume going through the exchange.

what's that page?
link?

That chart's at the bottom of the bitcoinity btc-e market page, you can see it at this link.

http://www.bitcoinity.org/markets/btce/USD

Look at the bottom of the page for that particular chart, and hover your cursor over any part of the wall to get a popup showing how many bitcoins are in bids at that point.

You will have to repeatedly click the + symbol above that chart to get it to zoom in close enough to see the wall as I posted it.

I'm a noob when it comes to mining.

What counts as a node in this situation where the software a node runs gets a vote in the big blocks/little blocks argument?

For the big blocks argument is a node a pool or is each miner connected to a pool counted as a node?

When I look at blockchain.info it's mostly the pools that show up as solving blocks, not the individual miners. Here's what it shows for the last few blocks.

Clearly some automated actions going on, here. I managed to ride the wave and raise coins at low cost pingpong-ing .... hoping for a russia boost later on.

I doubt it would make much difference to vertcoin even if Russia changes it's attitude to crypto. It's been pumped, probably by a group of people, and it's going to get dumped by the same people that pumped it. I think it's now unlikely to go anywhere but down from this point on.

There is software that can strip metadata from image files. Google for it and you will soon find plenty of freeware that can do it.
