Re: I currently have 5 ETH. I should buy an ICO
by
chrisfatos

I would advise that you do not invest all 5 ETH in one ICO. Its better to hold some ETH and spend the rest on a few good ICOs. My ICO recommendation would be DIW Token. Their project is very promising and today they have released the alpha version of their platform. You can read more about it on their official website which you can see below in my signature.

Re: Do you look at ICO ratings from the rating of the ICO website when you invest?
by
chrisfatos
on 29/05/2018, 11:08:04 UTC
I only use rating sites as an indication of what projects I should look into. So I take high highly rated projects and then research them to see what they are about and after the research I choose the top 5 (based on research, not on rating) to invest in.

Hi everyone! There is a lot of chatter on DIW's official telegram group about the alpha version being released very very soon and even some sayings about what it will include!

I agree with everyone who has recommended that you split it up. This is also what I do, and once I make a profit or get my hands on some extra money, I invest back in crypto.

Re: Is product important for a project?

It is important but I can also appreciate that some teams have a great idea and great product but not the funds yet, and so they look for the ICO in order to gain that funding

Re: what's your reason joining here in crypto?

I first joined because I saw it as an opportunity to make extra money for a better future. But as I got more into it and read more about blockchain, I got excited about the technology as well!

Yes I still support Ethereum. I have a certain amount that I hold and the rest I invest in promising ICOs like DIW Token, which will offer decentralised security

Re: Why KYC should not be asked from the Bounty Participants!
by
chrisfatos

I think its important that ICOs explain why they need KYC from bounty hunters. Is it a new legislation in their country? Is it their way to ensure that 1 person is 1 user and not multiple users? They should be open about this, ideally from the beginning of the bounty so that bounty hunters can decide if they will join or not.

I always prefer to hold them for some time. I dont want to sell for peanuts because then my work over the last months was for nothing.

Re: What is the perfect ICO
by
chrisfatos
on 15/05/2018, 13:36:18 UTC
For me the perfect ICO would be one that offers a unique product that solves a problem in a simple yet secure way. This perfect ICO would have a well written whitepaper, be sticking to their roadmap and its team would have expertise in the field. A very good ICO I can recommend is DIW Token - Decentralised security

Re: Can collecting airdrops be a full time occupation
by
chrisfatos
on 15/05/2018, 13:31:07 UTC
Airdrops do not take up a lot of time so you can easily do them along side a full time job. Also they do not give out many tokens so it will be very difficult to make enough profit to make this your full time occupation.
If you really want to make the most out of the airdrops, spend some time looking at the projects and then only participate in good projects. Also be careful with what information they are asking from you. Airdrops should not be asking for many personal details. If they do, you should be sceptical of whether they are a scam.

Re: ICOs are a legit or Scam?
by
chrisfatos
on 15/05/2018, 13:23:06 UTC
The increased popularity of ICOs has unfortunately drawn a lot of scammers to the field. The more time you spend researching ICOs, the easier it will become to distinguish honest ICOs from Scams.
You need pay attention to the whitepaper, the actual project and how it will be used and the team members. This will also help you identify potentially good projects, over projects that are not well structured.

Re: How do you explain the bounty campaign?
by
chrisfatos
on 15/05/2018, 12:51:47 UTC
Thats a nice way of explaining it. I tell them that basically I am getting rewards for advertising a project. The trickier part comes if they start asking about what these rewards are exactly hehe

Re: Should I invest in BTC, Altcoin, or ICO
by
chrisfatos
on 15/05/2018, 12:11:34 UTC
Its never 100% safe to invest in an ICO but if you do the following you will have a better chance of finding a good ICO. You should always read the whitepaper of the ICO you are planning to invest in. See what their vision is, if they are following their roadmap and if they are responsive. Also check out the expertise of the team members.

As far as investments are concerned, you should diversify in order to cut your loses.

Re: So many new ICO, how to check if it's scam?
by
chrisfatos
on 09/05/2018, 11:43:44 UTC
First of all you need to consider if the product is solving any problems. Then, look at the whitepaper, roadmap and the teams expertise. I also look at the partnerships of the project and if the team members are active and attending crypto related conferences.

Re: False Promises About Bounty Payments!

All bounty rules and regulations should be laid out at the beginning so that people know what they are getting into.
