I tried the Christmas bootstrap linked and I checked, I found a small problem with database, but fortunately is not a real problem and if you want you can use with this workaround : after the client is open with part of update you can sync with network for few minutes/few blocks, quit the client, rename bootstrap.dat.old to bootstrap.dat, relaunch cinnicoin client and continue the import process.
In general for all people of this forum who have problem with importing process now I write some tips :
When you are importing bootstrap file before your system are finished you can see only the splash screen on the center of your monitor with cinni logo and this text : importing blockchain data file.
Don't click on the splash image or icon in some windows version freeze or skip the import process.
If you want see the status of importing check the size of blk0001.dat (about 600 mb now) and blkindex.dat (about 800 mb now) into your cinnicoin folder.
If for every reason when you are importing you don't see growth the size of the blk0001.dat and blkindex.dat for minutes, you can forcing to close the process manually, rename bootstrap.dat.old to bootstrap.dat, relaunch cinnicoin client to continue the importing process.
This process need many hardware resource (CPU, continue writing on your mass storage, and memory) how many time need to import process depend of your hardware, is a lot much better if you are a very power pc with very fast ssd to do this job done in few hours.
In the next 4 hours I will upload an today bootstrap.dat file and you can download it from cinniblock.com website.
I think to do a full resync of blockchain from zero for the last update about on 18-20 January. Maybe I will do it for last time, with the new Stakecoin I don't think we will need Cinni blockchain updates again.
Cheers to all and I wish the best for new StakeCoin,
Best regards,
Cinblo
