The whole market is hurting right now, DeepOnion is of course not exempt from this. I do feel that this project has a future which is why I am supporting it. The sooner they get the roadmap completed the better, which they are on track to do. DeepSend allowing anonymous sending should help stabilise the price once it is released.

Yes they will co-exist, they have nothing to do with each other really. GRV is just offering to give you GRV for your DSR because DSR dev allegedly has stopped working on this project which if true would make it worthless.

That depends when you bought. The return in number of Desire coins is good but the Satoshi return is dreadful if you got in before the price dropped to below 2000 sat

There always a chance it could end or be replaced. People have been saying it's a bubble since the start. But there's equally a chance it could be the future of currency. It will be very hard to replace as it has the brand recognition now that is the name Bitcoin

It's really useful that you can use major bank cards to deposit into the exchange, it's a feature missing from alot of exchanges. Would be great to see DeepOnion (ONION) listed on the exchange which is a privacy coin with a lot of growth potential and ongoing development

I think Monero has probably done enough to cement itself as a top privacy coin in its own right.
Wish I had got in on PIVX early simply to run a masternode and it not cost a fortune to set up, the returns arn't massive now but if you had got on it early then you would be laughing.
DeepOnion, once airdrop is finished in a couple months has a lot of potential, there's plenty of development going on with it and the use of Tor, OBFS4 and MEEK are great privacy additions.

ETH is at a good price but still has massive growth potential as does LTC which people still can't decide whether they love or hate lol. Privacy coins seem to be gaining a fair amount of traction this year so wouldn't be surprised if Monero shows some gains, Dash regains its ATH and smaller coins such as DeepOnion start chasing the big boys. I would not be surprised if XRP, as much as the community dislikes it, seems some movement again as it is adopted by corporations.

That is very sad and why I have not invested anything I cannot afford to lose and if the value of my crypto sky rocketed and then dropped I wouldn't see it as losing alot of money as I never actually had that sum in the first place

Development in the crypto space us so fast paced that it would be impossible to give a definitive yes or no to that question. Litecoin gets alot of flack but it doesn't have use cases that make it better that bitcoin in some ways. It is unlikely to overtake it though as bitcoin now trades off the brand name as much as anything these days

Some experts say it will drop more, some say it will hit 50k so who knows. I am obviously hoping for the latter but on the other hand, if it does drop that low, might be a good time to buy some more

@BTCMILLIONAIRE I think you are mistaken on at least some of your facts. The top 25 wallets only hold 62% (ref: http://explorer.deeponion.org/richlist) so it is not possible for the top 7% to hold 99%

Personally I was skeptical, as I am with every crypto project, but I have been watching the rapid development that has been taking place recently and I would like to think that they wouldn't be going to all that work to try and catch up with the road map if they weren't serious.

Bitcoin dropped from 20k to almost 6k, not 85% but still absolutely massive and more significant given its market dominance. Small project took a big hit, some bigger than others, it doesn't necessarily mean it's a good or bad project.

Either way, in 10 weeks we will see who is right.

Are you running the desire daemon and sentinel as the the same user? What is that user?
What are your desire and sentinel directories? Do they have the right permissions?
Have you configured the sentinel.conf to point to the desire.conf?

Yeah that would do it too.... Hope the price picks back up once the market recovered as I am hosting a masternode

I would like to know too. I would hope they are just sitting on the pool waiting to be exchanged but I might just stop mining here until that is confirmed

Lots of FUD, the media reporting China and India are to ban crypto when this is not true but the damage is done. Plenty of other bad news like that really affects the price
