Re: Bitcoin - Who missed the boat ?
by
claire
on 19/12/2017, 02:25:33 UTC
My friend told me about Btc when it was less that $90 per coin. It was in it's infancy and it was pretty much unknown. I was nervous about putting my hard earned cash in to it so shied away. Boy has it haunted me LOL

Anyone else have this non buyers remorse ?

I sold the boat.  Cry Should have kept it long ago at $20/btc. I calculated what I would have had and then just insanely laugh.

Re: Why people sell bitcoins?
by

Worldwide, especially in my place, must sell it for profit rather than always keep it!
The government always forbids the use and play bitcoin so that it can not grow fully potential in my place. Surely it remains an advantage if there is a transaction rotation for bitcoin in my country to live.

I sold mine in the beginning because I was investing in my company. But if I didn't need the money I would have waiting until now to sell it because It's really high and eventually it must come down. Everything pops at some point or another and then rises again if it survives.

Re: Korea To Tax Bitcoin Use
by
claire

South Korea is preparing to tax bitcoin use after the cryptocurrency’s trading volume skyrocketed past that of Kosdaq.
Death and taxes ... it seems that even bitcoins can't escape that Smiley

Unless someone cashes out then how can they even regulate it unless they do it through business, but even still it is like a black market and easy to hide.

OMG I don't know what I would do if I threw away all those bitcoins! That is so sad.

Thanks for the response. I don't think I made anything more than I already see in the wallet I'm resurrecting right now so it's probably ok. I just shake my head seeing all the ones I used on servers and how many had slipped through my hands. I really think I only have like .2 or something like that when all is said and done. Not even worth the fees of cashing in. I'll probably just back it up and put it away again.

I have the backup from 2012. It is working, open and retrieving all of my info. What I don't have are any receiving addresses stored after that date. I'm thinking that anything I received with a new address is probably lost.  Angry

When his band is famous I'm going to make him repay me hahaha

So in the life of Me...Here is what happened to my bitcoin
by
claire
on 17/12/2017, 23:48:41 UTC
I used to get paid via bitcoin. I used it for online necessities such as webhosting and domain names. Then I made a backup in 2012 and a few others. Then my friend used my machine and erased my hard disk accidentally (sure) so years later here I am knowing that I have transactions from 2013 trying to resurrect my wallet.dat file from my backup. Unfortunately, I can only find my 2012 wallet so I don't have my new addresses that I had been putting out there for fun. I'm sure no one paid anything and I probably have very little bitcon if any, but since it's an older backup I'm pretty sure I no longer have that info and its lost. Or maybe I'm wrong? Thanks

Re: How do we get the women on board?
by
claire
on 16/12/2017, 21:53:44 UTC
Did anyone suggest guysgonebitcoin yet?  I'm sure the ladies would love to pay to see the users on this forum in the buff.

So, I think we have totally different expectations what the average forum user looks like.

It might work though. Total anonymity, watching your favorite guys undress "only for you"..
Women feel the temptation of erotica just like the male audience, only social pressure is higher to admit to it (like buying erotic content with credit cards or paypal accounts could result in someone finding out about it).

This project however faces higher barriers like small audience with bitcoins ("Females, where art thou!?"). Guys to undress (anonymously) however should be around in sufficient numbers, given the vast crowd of bitcoin geeks. Once this starts to pick up steam, it could grow..

Femal audience centered erotica products is such an underdeveloped market on the net anyways. Whats the major obstacle for it to take off?

I really wouldn't pay to see a guy undress. In fact, I'm not going to pay anyone, male or female, to do any kind of erotic tap dance for me.

Men like to talk to women. They like to view women. Men typically are very auditory and visual. Women, on the other hand, would rather buy something sexy to wear, a toy, or read something erotic. That is why the visual and auditory markets for men are so big and the erotica and toy market are big for women. Sometimes they do overlap, but in general the two are very diverse from one another.

One guy ran a phone sex company with bitcoin years ago but then he closed up business. I think it bit him in the ass or the financial laws in Canada did. But it was doing pretty well since he could either use bitcoin or credit card. Women would find it easier to buy toys and clothes. Me personally? I spend mine on web hosting, domain names, and technology because I have no interest in doing something I can do in real time with someone I love or over the phone with someone paying me money to talk to him.

Say I have a bitcoin that was worth $20.00 4 or 5 years ago. Say I cash it in (no idea how) and I get $20K so technically I've made a bigger than huge profit. How much of that would I have to pay in California and Federal taxes?

You are the first person i see here , who wants to pay taxes. are you serious with this question?

I'm very serious. I might not like taxes, but I know I'm required to pay them if I earn money somehow. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Re: Is It advisable to quit my present job for bitcoin?
by
claire
on 16/12/2017, 20:59:20 UTC
Wow so many answers! Personally, I would never quit my job for a money game. That is all cryptocurencies and the stock market are: money games. IF I had enough bitcoin to get a couple hundred thousand bucks, which I don't because I stupidly spent mine long ago and only have 1/2 a bitcoin left that I can't open, I would get some sort of residual business going that you know is going to pay you, work for a few more years building this other business and either cash in or save your bitcoin because what is here today may crash tomorrow.

Residual income is where it is at. Something that pays you without touching it that will continue to pay you and will not crash.

I am soooo curious - most Girls or boys here?Huh

Maybe there are more "chicks" but since we don't have to brag about everything, we just take all the money while you guys brag about it.

Some of us have enough dignity to not sell ourselves for a quick buck though lol.

Actually, any line of work is a quick buck. You sell your time for dollars and phone sex girls use their voice to have fun. I am also an IT geek, a web developer, a graphic artist, and a programmer. I find making $120 per hour as a Domme much more fun and fulfilling than being a drone for another person.

$120/hr for Domme services is criminally low!

The economy is criminally low too, unfortunately. But the $120/hr is phone talk time. I also demand a lot in games, assignments, and tributes.

Re: Why do people in USA fear socialism so much?
by
claire
on 11/04/2013, 20:44:39 UTC
socialism is a precursor to communism. once you run out of other people's money and there are no more people to make money then it fails to either anarchy or communism. if it is anarchy then the government attempts to take over even more and it will become a totalitarian communist state. it's only a matter of time. if it doesn't happen over night with force, it evolves. once communism fails years later out of the lack of money and resources then we fall back to anarchy and once again capitalism because people need some sort of structure. it's a cycle that happens with roadblocks, speedbumps, and acceleration created by people with agendas. and honestly, the biggest capitalists are huge socialists like soros, etc. the big guys who like to eat countries for dinner.

it's unfortunate that FDR did what he did and i'm glad he passed away before his 2nd bill of rights had a chance. it's unfortunate that the racist LBJ did what he did for the reasons why health care in the USA does cost so much is because of insurance and medicare/medicaid. why did i say racist? did you hear what he said about the reason WHY he passed it? it wasn't to help poor people. it was to get those n****** to vote for them. words out of LBJ's mouth, not mine.

i personally find it unethical for the government to put its hand in everything and control what you do. you can't have a socialist or communist system without a lot of control and government hand dipping. we were free like that once, until the progressive era and those annoying two roosevelts (both progressive - one a democrat and one a republican.)

About an hour, Claire. (Is that the sexiest name in the world? Grin )

I guess I should try again? Or wait? I dunno.
