I like this one. "Yea, let me know. I love what you guys are doing, but I need to know its legit. No offense in any way." Had to be nice to this kid to keep him talking, he was such a douche Smiley I really like this poor oxman guy in the background, defending Garza like most people did, I got a lot of shit for asking questions. I'm still shocked people didn't catch on until later, so many people just kept defending this idiot. Smiley

Ohh the good old days of getting ripped of by Garza. I was going through some of my old backup stuff and found a file called "GawMiningBS.rar" Haha Smiley

When someone selling you shit tells you they pretty much don't want your business if you ask questions.... Its time to get the fuck out or ask more questions, I did both.

200 hundreds of them, grab them while you can, i'm trying to archive the whole lot before the vanish.

good lord!! as if his scammy ass doesnt already have a big enough  footprint pasted all over the freakin intertoobz...

Yep, I believe that his narcissism will be his ultimate undoing.

My Guess is that when he does end up in court, he would rather have the public passing around these pictures instead of the ones with his expensive cars. Passing them around will only help him out.

This thread is still here?  Wink
I posted this chat log on Hashtalk between myself and Garza in February, shortly after I bought one of their “Hashlets”, or whatever you call them. This chat log got down voted sooo many times, it was very sad to watch these zombies be so brain washed, as they hand over their dollars to Garza.
I think the only thing Garza had going for him was that he is not afraid of prison. Any one of us could easily do what he did, and do a much better job at it if we didn’t care about being locked up. I’m predicting suicide, or prison.
Either way, reading through this log again, I was cracking up laughing because it was sooo freaking obvious that this was a scam.
I made a few comments in the log below between /* -- */. Everything else is raw chat log.

 GAW_CEO
I find your comment innapriorate and disrespectful. If you are interested a normal and respectful conversation, let me know.
/* You are a business I invested in, I don’t have to respect you, you should respect me as well as your investors as our investments will keep your lights on*/

about 14 hours ago chrisk
I’m sorry, I really don’t mean to disrespect anyone. I simply asked if you could post some numbers that anyone here would be interested in.

In the end I, like everyone on here, am a customer disrespect or not, I need to know the facts before I invest.
/* I really just wanted to know how much hashing they are actually doing, shouldn’t be a big deal for most companies like this, in fact, almost all of them post that info and they are proud of it */

about 14 hours ago GAW_CEO
I would rather you not invest

if you do not have the info you want
/* Really, you now you don’t want my money? Was it something I said? */

about 14 hours ago chrisk
Wow, really?

So you don’t need the business?

about 14 hours ago GAW_CEO
Thats correct. I am only interested in business from those who are comfortable with us.

I dont want anyone doing business with us thats not comfortable
/*  How can I be comfortable giving you my money when I have no idea what you’re doing with it?  */

about 14 hours ago chrisk
Well that’s laughable. 1) you do realize this communication is not private in any way. 2) Rather than provide numbers you would just not want my business?
/* Just wanted to cover my ass here, I was already preparing an email to coindesk  Grin . I mean, common, this is like going to a butcher, asking him where the meet came from, and him telling me to get the f out of his store because I asked. Would you go back to that butcher? */

about 14 hours ago GAW_CEO
As the CEO, I get the choice to decide what I disclose. Just like you get to device who you do business with.

*choose

/* I know at this point, I was having some beers while chatting, so that’s partially my excuse for the horrible grammar and spelling. I think at this point Garza was drunk, mad, or shaken up a bit */

about 14 hours ago chrisk
Okay, so tell me. Why would you not want more customers?

I mean, in the end ive said that this is awesome! but simply asked for more data before I invest and you’re threatened or annoyed by that

why is that?
/* At this point I’m convinced it’s a scam, I’m just playing with him. */

about 14 hours ago GAW_CEO
Its not about wanting more customers. I choose what I think is best for the customer base we already have. My obligation is to them and their investments. I do not disclose certain types of information for competitive reasons. Companies all over the world are copying our designs, and I am not interested in making it easier for them. So like I said, you have to decide if there is a fit here for you.
/* Wait a minute…  Cheesy starting to sound like, maybe you want me as a customer? */

about 14 hours ago chrisk
So why not say that on your website?

about 14 hours ago GAW_CEO
say what?

about 14 hours ago chrisk
or even in the forums

that you will not provide any data at all. Its a invest and gamble or don’t type of deal.

about 14 hours ago GAW_CEO
Depends on what data your asking for. But no, as a private customer we will not release data about our financials, hashing power, the multipools we own, etc
/* Im simply asking about hashing power, and the hashing operation, not financials */

about 14 hours ago chrisk
I mean, just respond to my post and say sorry, we will not give anyone that info ever for our own reasons.

so were having this conversation but you dont know what data I asked for?

/* Again, just the hashing operation */

about 14 hours ago GAW_CEO
Not interested an argument. Like a said a few comments back, we plan to do a walk through one of our data centers soon. If your not comfortable, I would wait until then to see if it has the information you want to see to make you comfortable. If it does, I would love to have you as a customer.
/* What! Now you have a datacenter, hmm. Wait, you LOVE to have me as a customer?Huh But, but you just said you dint want me as a customer   Garza is much like a girlfriend I had when I was 12 */

about 14 hours ago chrisk
Oh I am a customer. The whole point is that I wanted to invest more, meaning I needed more info before I do that.

its standard info that any pool would give you

Per coin, what is the total hash rate of the operation? Per coin, what is the total hash rate vs remaining? (what have you sold, how many do you have left…) Per coin, how many block are we getting daily? Why not List the blocks found, that would be solid proof to everyone that you are actually mining. Total power usage and cost for the farm or farms?

/* All you have to do is provide this info, and I’ll give you my savings… Why are we still talking? */

about 14 hours ago GAW_CEO
I will not provide that information. I have no interest in letting our competitors know our scale

/* Why?  Shocked */

about 14 hours ago chrisk
and that is your official statement?

You do realize you have to show where my money went right?
/* Still just screwing with him */

about 14 hours ago GAW_CEO
There are some pictures throughout the forum of different data centers

/* WTF does this mean? Your datacenters? Just pictures of random datacenters, I don’t understand? */

about 14 hours ago chrisk
The fact that I put my money into a black hole, and a tiny payout comes out every day (or not) is questionable.

Listen, I don’t want to waste your time. I think I have everything I need.
/* I knew from the get go that he was shifting money from one customer to another, that’s what I was getting at when I said sometimes you get a payout and sometimes you don’t. Kind of like a Ponzi scheme. */

about 14 hours ago GAW_CEO
Cool, I think our walk through will address some/most of your concerns. It will have some general numbers, pictures, power, etc
/* Holy crap! So now you say you ARE going to post some numbers and even do a walkthrough of one of your datacenters. Hmm, why did we have this conversation? I’m so confused at this point… */

Checking Monday morning with CFTC, FINCEN, and others if Business Technology for Cryptocurrency, LLC is registered and up to date for things such as MSB etc.

Coinfire... since you like to post actual truth... I did a piece one page back that, in my opinion, shows something that no one on hashtalk is even bothering to look at...

PERSONAL MESSAGE TO GARZA

Josh, you are a fucking little piece of shit? How is your partner Amazon.com? Walmart? Didn't these hashtalk idiots buy paycoin at 4$? its 2$ now Smiley Are you guys fucking stupid?

@GAW-Founders @GAW-Staff @GAW_CEO this is for you, please answer these questions for us. I've made assumptions below, just correct me if I'm wrong or let me know if I'm right.

A few pieces of data would really make me feel better about investing more money and or keeping my money at GAW:

I am currently under the assumption that GAW is a mining operation with a giant total hash rate 500MH (I know that's really low, just keeping it simple for this post). So, if your total is 500MH and I buy 1MH, you have 499HM left to sell or mine with until you sell more, but I get to keep my 1MH for the life of the company. If I buy 2MH then you have 488MH remaining...

Gaw, is mining for blocks of coin, when a block is found you split the payout based on how much hashing power each person/account put toward finding that block (like a pool).

* Per coin, what is the total hash rate of the operation?
* Per coin, what is the total hash rate vs remaining? (what have you sold, how many do you have left...)
* Per coin, how many block are we getting daily?
* Why not List the blocks found, that would be **solid proof** to everyone that you are actually mining.
* Total power usage and cost for the farm or farms?

*If this data was posted somewhere on the site, I'm sure you would have quite a bit more customers, the fact that it is not posted is a **giant red flag**.*

*Another **giant red flag** is that picture of the mining farm you posted the other day. By now, I would expect several videos showing off this awesome mining farm. Why do you not want to sell more hashlets? Instead we got a bunch of pics of you and your friends in a Learjet Smiley Please do me a favor, take that jet to the mining farm, invest in a camera, take some photos and video and report back*

Thanks!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To sum it up he doesn't want your business if you ask questions!

I posted this chat log, everyone already had too much koolaid and down voted the post, I couldn't respond to anyone because this kid banned me from hashtalk Smiley

Now. After all this I rushed to sell all my fake little miners "hashlets". Obviously, I didn't even come out of it with, even half my money but luckily I was able to transfer most of what was in my wallet.

After 10 or so tickets to "support", tickets that were closed without any explanation, I was paid out a little bit.

10/23/2014   Account Credit   0.00001627 BTC
10/23/2014   Purchase      -0.10579200 BTC
10/23/2014   Account Credit   0.00004409 BTC
10/22/2014   Account Credit   0.00001783 BTC
10/22/2014   Account Credit   0.00001782 BTC
10/22/2014   Withdrawal      -0.09975596 BTC
10/21/2014   Sale   0.09975350 BTC
10/21/2014   Payout   0.00000069 BTC
10/21/2014   Payout   0.00000169 BTC
10/21/2014   Withdrawal      -0.00078330 BTC

So, on the 21st I moved the rest of whatever coin I had out of my account. All my "hashlets" have been sold at this point and virtually no money left in my account. I figure wait another day or so and see if I get any more payout. On the 23rd I noticed a payout of ~0.1 btc Smiley nice, they finally did something right. I did another withdraw of whatever was in my wallet. Then, I realized, that bitcoin came from a sale of a miner Smiley but I didn't sell anything on the 21st, in fact I had sold everything I had by the 19th. Then, on the 23rd my account magically purchased a miner? Now, i'm not a math wiz but if I only have 0.00004409  in my account, how is it that I bought a miner for 0.10579200 Huh? Great! at this point these kids are playing with my account. I didn't sell that miner on the 21st and I sure as hell didn't buy one on the 23rd. I have put in at least 20 more tickets to support asking specifically about this and all I get is some snobby little girl say "Your account is fine, keep mining have a good day, he he Smiley closing your ticket! thank you."

So GAW I want to close my account because I think you are a ponzi scheme and I do not want any part of it. You should respect that and close my fucking account. You know exactly who I am. Thank you.

I should add that, after this GAW BS. I went and bought several Bitmain Antminer S3+ miners for a nice price on eBay. I set it all up, mining on BTC Guild, getting a very proper payout. I'm actually earning Bitcoin now and a nice little chunk of it. I got my brother interested in mining he is running the same amount of miners. Life is good, no drama, no BS. BTC Guild deserves a lot of praise for being a good, honest pool.

Re: Antminer S3 and an S4 both running at BTC Guild issues
by
clanbake
on 12/12/2014, 16:34:43 UTC
I have an Antminer S3 and an S4.

S3 came first and was running fine around 480-500 GH/s when I pointed to either Slush or BTC Guild.
At both Pools my S3 setting is set within their UI Worker tab to use 256 Min Diff.

Antminer S4 arrived ,setup, configured, pointed it to the Slush Pool and the S4 runs FINE at around 2.1TH/s at both Slush and BTC Pools.
Antminer S4 Done...

Now back to the S3… still running at 480-500 GH/s at the Slush Pool… at this point S3/S4 both are reporting 2.6TGH/s at Slush. Full expected power. Great!
HOWEVER, when I now point the “S3” to BTC Guild, it won’t run past 80GH/s (all chips show fine in the UI, no “x” or “-“)
Switch bask to Slush... 500GH/s... back to BTC Guild... 80GH/s... consistent test...
S3 was running 480-500 at BTC Guild before I added the S4...

Is there a problem running both an S4 and S3 on the same network pointing to BTC Guild? Works fine at Slush (I've not tried it anywhere else... my objective is to use Guild)

thanks for any help you can share

My brother had the same problem but reversed. His S4 was running at about 80GH and his S3+s that he's had for quite some time remained running at their normal speed. Restarting didn't help. I updated the firmware on ALL the machines for him, shut everything down, started it back up, waited 30 mins and all was fine. Be careful when updating your firmware, you could brick your miner(s).

Meanwhile, people lost money investing in GAW. Its so confusing because this Jackass GAW_CEO was telling me that its a real mining farm while his little minions tell me its contracted, I don't think he even knows.

Cool, I think our walk through will address some/most of your concerns. It will have some general numbers, pictures, power, etc

this was 2 months ago?

Did this walk through ever happen? I mean at the time of this conversation? My guess is that DUMB_ASS used this money to invest in real miners in hopes of going legit some day.

GAW is mostly scrypt so no typo

1) GAW still does not have proof of a single block mined. 2) The fake pictures this GAW_CEO moron posted on his little hashtalk website were all antminer S2 or even S4 meaning SHA256 (not scrypt). So, again, how would you even come to a conclusion that GAW, if they mine anything at all, they mine scrypt?

GAW's ZenMiner does not do any real mining whatsoever.  It is all virtual.  They cover most of it in their Terms of Service, which most people never read.  It's like the Sims.  Smiley  Everyone is just buying and selling virtual hashes.  I guess it doesn't really matter does it, as long as you can cash out in real BTC.

Here’s part of the TOS.

Hashlets earnings depend on the pool chosen and Payouts reflect respective Pool Payouts. Selecting a Pool does not imply physically or electronically mining at the selected Pool.  A Hashlet is virtual software. You will receive Payouts according to the Pool with with the Hashlet is associated.

Here’s the TOS.  Read it if you can’t sleep.

Right, GAW is not real mining but then it is with this 180,000, wait, 150,000 sf mining farm, but we've never seen a single block mined directly by GAW... It all sounds kind of stupid. Oh you mean the TOS that was just updated recently? Smiley too funny.

I just read this story WSJ posted the other day (http://blogs.wsj.com/moneybeat/2014/12/01/bitbeat-under-fire-gaw-miners-ceo-garza-takes-on-his-critics/)

I immediately spotted the first problem, the warehouse.

Can you guys please explain how a 180,000 sf warehouse turns into a 150,000 sf warehouse in a few days?

In your last GAW advertisement you said "According to Mr. Garza, his Bloomfield, Conn.-based company’s cloud mining operation is run out of a 180,000-foot Mississippi warehouse with 15MW electricity capacity."

in this story you say "We also obtained a copy of the lease contract to a 150,000-square foot warehouse in Park Purvis, Miss., where GAW’s mining operation occurs, and saw photos of a new operation under constructions with hundreds of rigs stacked on shelves, high-tension wires and heavy electrical infrastructure."

In two weeks will the warehouse shrink any more? If this GAW CEO guy does not know the size of his own warehouse...? 30,000 sf is a lot to, how do I put this nicely, not tell the whole truth about.

This is just one of the very very many discrepancies that, just looks bad.

Its actually disappointing that WSJ didn't see the GIANT difference in warehouse size and, at the very least, ask about it.
