Coinpot was created as a microwallet for the creator's several faucets. As such, if you wish to only use Coinpot, the faucets you can use are the moon series (btc, doge, ltc, dash) and Bitfun.co and Bonusbitcoin.co.

Re: What is the most stable altcoin?

While any Altcoin is swayed by the overall market, finding an Altcoin with a large market cap and large trading volume should be a good estimator of stability. For the cheap mid-price Altcoins, something like Ripple is pretty stable. For the even cheaper coins, you can never go wrong with Dogecoin.

The rise of Dogecoin
by
classictv613

Was just reading through some articles and found that Dogecoin has been booming the last few days (http://abcbitcoins.org/2017/12/16/dogecoin-explodes/).

I tried playing around with Dogecoin a few years back, but never saw much potential, but now I'm not too sure. Is it worth re-investing in Dogecoin or is this simply due to the rise of Bitcoin?

Excited about this project, looks promising. Are future updates going to be mostly on this page or the telegram chat? (or somewhere else?)

The premise sounds promising and it seems like everything is going well with the ICO. Not sure how to take several people here complaining about no response from the dev team/support...

I think another big fear here is Government interference and market crackdowns. Numerous countries across the globe have already taken strong positions on cryptocurrencies. Will be interesting to see how this influences the market over the next few weeks.

Googling 'upcoming icos' or something along those lines should give you several popular ICO related sites. Just make sure to scroll past the ads and click on the top organic searches. One of the popular sites I use is tokenmarket.net, but I'm sure there are many others.

by

As mentioned by others above, Bounty programs are a good way to earn some altcoins that may be rewarding in the future. That said, if you want to start earning bitcoins now, I'd recommend checking out some Bitcoin Faucets and hitting up their Offerwalls.

By and large, the altcoin market follows the trend of Bitcoin. That said, the altcoins with the greatest potential to rival or pass Bitcoin in the future would likely be Ethereum, Ripple, or Iota.

It seems like a lot of people are regretful for not joining earlier. I wonder how many people would feel this way if the price didn't shoot up to the values it has in the last year.

Re: [2017-12-10] Bitcoin's Rising Transaction Costs
by
classictv613
on 11/12/2017, 01:29:35 UTC
As popularity grows and more people start trading or sending Bitcoins, I suppose it's expected that congestion would cause transaction fees to rise. That said, it's not hard to see how this is a thorn in the side of my newcomers and might make it hard for Bitcoin to compete with other up-and-coming currencies that have lower or no trading fees.

The person above me brings up an interesting point. Assuming Bitcoin continues it rise over the next several decades, the important point is how Bitcoin improves in relation to other global currencies. If the dollar doubles and Bitcoin only rises 50%, you would do better holding your worth in dollars.

I'd stick with the big names (like the ones LeGaulois mentions). You can never be too safe when it comes to Bitcoin management and trading.

Re: Bitcoin has turned into a scam coin
by

This thread has gotten a little dramatic. This really shouldn't be a discussion. Bitcoin is not a scam, just a method of of currency, just like any other currency. With the difference being no physical Bitcoin exists.
