The project has moved on from a text adventure to a full 3D game as well as a ton of other updates over the past couple of years. Primarily, moving rustbits & cards from Counterparty to Ethereum. Missing the migration was a problem for sure, more depending on what you had in your counterparty wallet. The auto-migration wizard was taken down and the community has transitioned forward in a new way.

Post migration window drawbacks for 2021:
- The maximum amount of rustbits you can claim is 20,000
- You can only claim 1 each of a mission card (ie, if you have 5 runner cards & 10 rogue mech cards, you can only claim 1 runner card and 1 Rogue mech card).
- You can reclaim 1 lastlight card but costs 1 Eth to do so (which is used to purchase enjin to mint more crypto trophies for the game)
- You cannot claim an Origin card any longer.

What to do:
- Lookup your counterparty info. Burn your rustbits on Counterparty by sending them to 1BurnRustxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxzhjnHj
- DM me on Discord with your Enjin wallet address, your burn tx info from counterparty.
- Within 24 hours, I'll send your assets back to you on Ethereum.

For any Age of Rust token holders on Counterparty, the last day you'll be able to migrate your AoR tokens to Ethereum ERC-1155 tokens will be July 31st, 2019.  The conversion wizard for the original 11 tokens is at wizard.spacepirate.io and walks you through the conversion process, there's also a video for it too on the second step. After that date, you won't be able to convert your tokens as this represents the permanent fork for the migration from counterparty to ethereum.  You'll need the Enjin wallet on your mobile phone to see your new tokens, they'll show up under "Collectibles" and "Age of Rust".

Age of Rust moved from a text adventure on counterparty to a 3d game on Ethereum using the ERC-1155 standard for blockchain gaming. While the text adventure is still active, the project is moving on to the 3d game. A playable version of the game debuted at the Game Developers Conference in March 2019 and am alpha will be released soon of the first level of the game. The game will also be available on TheAbyss.com, a cryptogaming friendly platform for distribution.

The community has moved over to Discord and Telegram, not much is posted in this thread any longer since the cryptogaming community is mostly centralized elsewhere on social media platforms. Questions about the project and more are answered in the Questions channel on discord.

It's an automated process... The following tokens can be converted: RUSTBITS ROGUEMECH THEBOUNTY REVENGECARD MECHRUNNERS GHOSTPILOT CRUSADECARD LASTLIGHT THEORIGIN FGTNWASTELND DEVSTATCARD

There's a minimum of 100 rustbits for the conversion (at the time of the conversion, no token holders had under 100 tokens). There's no minimum on the card tokens.
Each rustbit is gilded with 0.001 enj, the cards are gilded with 10 enj (exceptions are lastlight which has 100 enj and origin which has 650).

The conversion process will take place sometime in Q4 of this year (likely around October/November), I don't have an exact date at this point because we're waiting for the Enjin ERC-1155 SDK to officially launch. After which, we'll have a little bit of testing and QA on the conversion process and then we'll open it for everyone.  You'll essentially go through a web-based wizard which will have you burn your counterparty rustbits tokens by sending them to a burn address and then we'll send the Eth rustbits to your ethereum wallet address.

The counterparty to erc20 swap will happen around late Q3 this year. The website and erc contracts are being developed now, so far, everything is on track for the timeline.


We'll leave the swap open for at least a year, I know that many crypto holders tend to load up a wallet and then forget about tokens and coins for a long time. So it stands to reason that we'll keep the conversion site running for a long time as well.


Burning will happen as part of the swap process to ensure no double tokens are issued/exist.

We'll put a FAQ on the token swap up on the site and I'll have a channel in discord as well for it.

Fully agree, we have a close relationship with the neon district and pineapple arcade teams, which has a great active community to share games with. Yes, at the time, counterparty had several large game and entertainment projects (spells, sarutobi, chains, pepe, etc) and augmentors was the big ethereum project. At that time, counterparty was doing very well and the dex was very active. The initial direction made sense for the vision at the time, but that gaming community has shifted to using tools like metamask and ethereum tokens. You've got a valid point for sure... 

Ah okay, I get your question now.  On the conversion process, there will be a web-based wizard. There will be a place to enter an ethereum address and then a place to send the counterparty tokens to, after that, the erc20 token will be sent to the ethereum address.

I don't think it will be an easy task to make this big changing while the game is still under-developement. I remember when you announce that the token will be used for other games. Please explain more about the changement to ERC token or put links in the announcment op that i still find nothing about this update.

I agree, it's not a cakewalk, but it's something that needs to be done, it's something that players and the community are asking for in order to move forward. With respect to the token conversion process, I brought on another developer to just focus on the erc token contracts. The target date for having the token contracts completed and a process by which token holders can exchange counterparty tokens for erc20 tokens is slated for end of Q3 this year. The intent is still to have other games use and work with our tokens, that's still something that's in the works with other game developers right now. We have a great community of shared players in the crypto puzzle game space right now and it's growing. Moving to an erc token opens up the doors to interchanging tokens within games that are ethereum-based. There's more ethereum based games in dev than there are counterparty games right now and a lot of game asset trading platforms are ethereum only as well.
